It's quite an endeavor, and many don't realize how much work goes into maintaining a blog. There are emails, comments to be moderated, and content to be monitored. It is a full-time job in and of itself.
But SCC pulls it off flawlessly and makes it look easy.
The writing is punchy; crisp and clean. The insights are razor sharp and the commentary is mixed with humor, a bit of cynicism and sometimes sadness.
For your convenience, here is a snap shot of the first blog post. One small step for blogging, one giant leap for law enforcement!

So here's to you SCC! Keep up the great work. The service you provide to the working copper has proven to be invaluable these past 6 years.
God bless you.

Joyeux Anniversaire SCC !!
Studies have found that most of the so-called illegal guns on the street were once legally owned and purchased. How many of these guns were owned by police officers?
If a ban is not possible, how about a registration of all the gun owners? When a weapon is recovered in a crime, the weapon should be traced and its owner punished. Put the responsibility on the owner of the weapon.

Wrong Capt dildo.Criminal misuse of a firearm or any other weapon should be placed on the criminal. Now sit in the corner and suck some radiator hose.
If the owner cannot or will not secure his weapons then they should be held liable.
You NRA gun type guys just have no balls without your guns.
Are you gun geeks also aware that the Gun Control Act of 68 only allows one to own no more than 8 firearms? Perhaps they should do a sales check on you gungho gun freaks are charge you with Federal gun violations.
