Roger Keats defeats Johnny Boy

Well bless my prophetic soul! Roger Keats has officially defeated John Garrido III.

What surprises me is how Garrido couldn't parlay his "uniqueness" into winning the hearts and minds of Illinois voters? You mean voters wouldn't automatically consider voting for someone who's "half irish, half mexican and married to a polish woman"?

Come now - this is the 21st Century.

Garrido's ploy at positioning himself in terms of his race is pathetic. The voters saw through his pantomime: his inexperience and lack of presence was resounding - almost deafening.

I'm very happy that the better qualified person won the nomination, and by a dominating percentage. Now Johnny Boy can get back what he does best - and I'll leave that to your imaginations, and to those at the Prohibition Club.

Why do you hate him so much Rue?

Hey Rue.... I'm no John fan but why would you put his picture up like that? ..........Those poor dogs will be screwed up for life!

You mean Johnny Boy didn't win?! What the hell am I supposed to do with all his campaign buttons, fliers, posters, and t-shirts? I know! I'll lube them up and shove them up my fat Mexican ass. That's what I deserve for wasting a vote on that sorry excuse for a candidate. I guess even with all the gang and tact teams voting for him he still didn't have a chance. Aw, who am I kidding? They probably voted for Keats.

Uh oh, How many tact and gang guys gonna lose their spots for failure to support Garrido? How many coppers gonna get shit on in 025 for their inability to support a police candidate for county office?

I wouldn't doubt it. Isn't there something on the books about being an exempt and having a controlling interest in a bar or tavern?

I'll have to do some research on that.

RUE...you don't know this...Rule 18. Its ANY copper.

Rule 18

Johnny Boy G. Mystery solved. Will plan on running against the "fat man," in an Alderman race some time in the future. That's why he bothered running in this hopeless bid for supremacy.

Qualifications: Backstabbed Clark, threw Suave under the bus, blindly Pro-Cline, vindictive foot posts, The Elgin Fiasco, got his law degree on company time, 20k Sgt. stripes?, Prohibition Club?, dog Walking at St. Judes, getting beat up by two thugs, endangering gang team by sending them off in an undercover van where they are subsequently shot at, pleading for midnight fill ins so his precious numbers don't go down. etc.
(These qualifications are from our current data system, old files of "the Gallows" are currently under investigation to find more sources.)

Powers & Abilities: Is able to flip/flop between being Mexican and Irish depending on the nationality of the exempt rank member he is talking to. Posts repeatedly under "anonymous" to give the illusion that he has many supporters on the blog.

In summary, the past election was a ploy to gain attention in the pathetic attempt to boost his popularity for an upcoming crack at becoming an Alder-creature. At the least, subject is hoping to get a Gold Star out of the deal so he can make many more lives miserable. Warning: Subject is mildly retarded and should be avoided at all costs.

Sorry, the price was 5 in the early 80s.

So, the guy's been married for over ten years, has no kids, and he's in politics? That's called a beard my friends.

"half irish, half mexican and married to a polish woman"?

Rue, you normally appear to be a little sharper. He wasn't using that as a qualification for the job. He was pointing out he would have a better chance against a Dem candidate than his wealthy "non-diverse" opponent.

Rue St. Michel said...

That's the point! He didn't define anything that qualified him for the CCBP seat.

He said that those ARE his qualifications.

He wasn't running for the Illinois GOP leadership, where that sort of idea would have some applicability.

Anyway, it's a moot point now.
