Fox News reports that the Justice Department is dropping charges against 3 Black Panthers who were caught on video threatening people with a baseball bat at a Philadelphia polling place last year.
George Bush's Justice department initiated the charges against the organization for civil rights violations, but Obama has effectively pardoned the group.

Full story here.
Warner goes on to say that Obama doesn't know who the enemy is. In Obama's world, jihadis squatting in caves clutching AK47 aren't the enemy; US Citizens gathering at Tea Parties in protest of confiscatory tax rates and decrying a Federal Government out of control, are the real enemies.
How true, and how sad.
It turns out Barack Hussein Obama learned those lessons from Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis very well: America is the problem.
His mainstream media handlers did a great job deflecting how radical and dangerous Obama was as a candidate. They're still busy acting as his front-men.
But is America the problem? I don't believe it is and the difference between me and Obama - beyond the obvious fact that I'm brilliant and he's not - is that he's cynical about this nation, and I'm optimistic. While he gives much lip service to hope and change, I don't think he really feels it. We're not that "shining beacon on the hill" to Obama, that light is a village being razed by US troops, or the lantern from a midnight lynching party in 1845, or any one of dozens of nefarious motives assigned by the 5th Column in this country.
Obama is using his position as chief executive and leader of the senate super-majority - to commit "economic justice". As Mark Levin said on his May 27 show, "Young people are going to get hit the hardest. They'll not know the liberty and prosperity that previous generations enjoyed. There is nothing historic, cool or neat about Obama and his ilk."
That's exactly right. Obama is abusing his position to reward his friends and constituents. They're acting like a rogue government. They're going to have to tax, tax and tax some more in order to pay for Obama's "historic" social programs. There is no accountability on this administration.
The currency is being wiped out, the federal government is intruding into private businesses - making decisions in corporate board rooms, they're diminishing the electric grid, they won't drill for more oil, they're pushing Cap & Trade in order to foment their "green agenda", and they're going full force after your liberties through the Nationalized Healthcare scheme.
They know they can't outright take away your freedoms, but they can "back-door" remove them using the authority of the central government. Your private property is being stolen. We see the Leftists coming after First Amendment rights vis-a-vis the Fairness Doctrine, and they're coming after the Second Amendment by hammering ammunition makers.
It is a big social experiment that failed dozens of times world-wide. And no one seems to care.
1. You refine heroin for a living, but you have a moral objection to beer.
2. You own a $3,000 machine gun and $5,000 rocket launcher, but you can't afford
3. You have more wives than teeth.
4. You wipe your butt with your bare hand, but consider bacon "unclean."
5. You think vests come in two styles: bullet-proof and suicide.
6. You can't think of anyone you haven't declared Jihad against..
7. You consider television dangerous, but routinely carry explosives in your clothing.
8. You were amazed to discover that cell phones have uses other than setting off roadside bombs.

This story doesn't come as a complete shocker because the sociopathic slant that runs through Islam fits rather nicely with the "black rage" that is part and parcel of the ghetto communities. Look at the filth that Jeremiah Wright was spewing. Just think if a dozen or so disenfranchised youths, with psychological issues, heard those rants over and over and over again...pretty soon he'd be ready to strap on an M-4 and go take out some Jews.
We have Muslim Training Compounds in the United States. Did you know that?
Islamberg, affiliated with al-Fuqra, appears to have two locations - Charlotte County Virginia, and it's counterpart in Hancock, New York. More information here.
Nation of Islam is rooted in this hatred, and is part of this element of victimhood and racism. Check out this horrific video of "Dr." Khallid Muhammed. People like Farrakhan and Sharpton are classic examples of "projection" - in psychological terms. They have deep hatred and resentment - and instead of confronting their own demons - they turn and blame Whites for all of their ills. No matter that they've had 500 years to get their house in order, it's all Whitey's fault.

"California's addiction to 'cheap' illegal-alien labor is bankrupting the state and posing enormous burdens on the state's shrinking middle-class tax base," said FAIR President Dan Stein.
"Most Californians, who have seen their taxes increase while public services deteriorate, already know the impact that mass illegal immigration is having on their communities, but even they may be shocked when they learn just how much of a drain illegal immigration has become," he said.
California is estimated to be home to nearly 3 million illegal aliens.
Mr. Stein noted that state and local taxes paid by the unauthorized immigrant population go toward offsetting these costs, but do not match expenses. The total of such payments was estimated in the report to be about $1.6 billion per year. .
The story affirms, in stark terms, what Open-Border opponents have felt in their guts all these years. The media paints illegal immigrants as just "hard-working" "family people" - and the most laughable "conservative" - folks who just want a better life for their kids.
We all want a better life but we all have to play by the rules. If I start selling drugs on my block is that ok because "I just want a better life for my family?" Sadly certain ethnic groups look at drug sales as just part of "da hood" and slinging caine is just one way of paying the bills. But basing policy decisions on such drivel will only lead to anarchy, and dismissal of the rule of law.
I certainly hope that this abysmal economy will start a cavalcade of self-deportations.
And I think that is a FIRST on the Rue St. Michel blog: I actually applaud something that Barack Hussein Obama is doing.
Again, from WaPo - "U.S. to Expand Immigration Checks to All Local Jails." That is absolutely awesome news.
The Obama administration is expanding a program initiated by President George W. Bush aimed at checking the immigration status of virtually every person booked into local jails. In four years, the measure could result in a tenfold increase in illegal immigrants who have been convicted of crimes and identified for deportation, current and former U.S. officials said.
By matching inmates' fingerprints to federal immigration databases, authorities hope to pinpoint deportable illegal immigrants before they are released from custody. Inmates in federal and state prisons already are screened. But authorities generally lack the time and staff to do the same at local jails, which house up to twice as many illegal immigrants at any time and where inmates come and go more quickly.
The effort is likely to significantly reshape immigration enforcement, current and former executive branch officials said. It comes as the Obama administration and Democratic leaders in Congress vow to crack down on illegal immigrants who commit crimes, rather than those who otherwise abide by the law.
I give Kudos to the New President for such a clear policy decision that will add to our sovereignty and support United States citizens. Finally! It only took 120 days in office for him to do something constructive.

Police Slog Through Photos - Find Cause Of Dorm Fire
It was the Democrats who blocked looking into these criminal acts - and attacked the regulators who wanted the sub-prime lender's "accounting irregularities" to be brought out into the public domain.
Republicans repeatedly asked for more regulations and oversight. Check out this video where we see the despicable Maxine Waters (D-California), Rep. Meeks (D-New York), Lacy Clay (D-Missouri), Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and Rep. Davis (D-Alabama) covering up for the failing GSEs (Government Sponsored Entities)
Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac leadership - and their handlers (C. Dodd, B. Frank) in congress - were actively cooking the books in order to maximize their bonus programs.
It's an outrage that this isn't front page news since our leaders in congress are participating in a criminal coverup.

Their spokesman says that they're laying down their guns.
Just last month in TARA Training we discussed this group. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam were the first to develop and effectively employ the suicide vest, and they were the only recognized terrorist organization in the world that has (had) its own air force.
They've gone the way of other terrorist organizations - not those of Islamic origin though. Check out this link and note how many Islamic groups are officially terrorist organizations.
HAMAS is listed, and yet Obama gave them $900,000. Isn't that charitable of him.

RIP Josie Bluhm
Maybe if we got serious about dealing with illegal immigration, we'd see less and less of this. In fact, I know we would but the Democrats don't want any part of diluting their potential voting base.
5,000 illegals per day stream across the border - all potential Democrats. That's how our elitist leaders look at it.
A federal judge ruled this week that Los Angeles Police Department officers should be paid for the time it takes them to put on and take off their uniforms and safety equipment, a decision that could cost the city millions of dollars in back pay and higher salaries.
In a 39-page ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Gary Feess found that the several minutes it takes an officer to dress for duty is a vital part of the job because "police uniforms convey and legitimize officers' authority, increase officer safety, and help deter crime."
The dress time, which is generally thought to be between five and 15 minutes on each end of a shift, Feess decided, falls under the compensation rules of the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act, a long-standing law that requires employers to pay their employees for all hours worked.
I didn't post this to bring out the 'police haters' but only to highlight that the ruling is correct. It does take time to get that 35 pounds of equipment on, and to make sure it all works. Some can do it quickly, some slowly - but all of it is important because your equipment may save your life, or a citizens' life.
Granted this case may seem like nitpicking, but the police are so used to being demonized, it is refreshing to see a court case that takes the police side of the equation as valid.

I was working that night too. I didn't get a chance to interact with any suburban departments but the sporadic violence, and multiple shots fired calls definitely got down played by the media. The MSM would have no negative news about "Obama supporters" getting out of hand. Oh no, it was "historic!"
Naperville gets some good natured ribbing from CPD for the obvious reasons....they patrol in areas that are light-years away from what Chicago police deal with. But still, they're a good group of cops and - this one - is a pretty good writer...
Here's the whole article. Enjoy...
"Two Uses for a Sharpie"
By Mike Zegadlo
Having worked Monday night, I decided I would get a couple hours of sleep and let the lines at the polls diminish a bit before venturing out to cast my vote. My decision paid off, as I approached the election judge with no waiting. After confirming my identification, I was handed a "Sharpie" permanent marker and my blank ballot. I wielded my Sharpie with the determination of an 11th grader driving for the 95th percentile on his ACT, skillfully shading the bubbles next to my candidates of choice. With the beep of the electronic confirmation verifying my ballot had been counted, I returned home to catch a few more hours of sleep before embarking on my election night adventure.
Our designated ILEAS (Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System) Region 4 West rally point was Berwyn PD. We loaded our three unmarked "tac" cars, dialed in the GPS, and made our way east on Ogden Avenue. The trip passed quickly, mainly because I was fascinated by the opportunity to not only ride in, but actually drive an unmarked squad. Who knew the Impalas had CD changers and a jack for my media player? Betrayed by the "random" setting on my iPod, I found myself explaining to McLean why tracks by Modonna and Michael Jackson kept popping up between Incubus and Korn.
We were to stage at Berwyn PD, awaiting a possible, but unlikely call-out by Chicago. Berwyn looks a lot more like Chicago than Naperville does, but at least we were still technically in the "suburbs." Chicago was expecting a million people at the downtown rally. They cancelled leave for all 13,000 Officers and invoked the City's mutual aid agreement with suburban departments via ILEAS. They were clearly preparing for the worst while hoping for the best.
Ideally, we'd eat pizza and watch the election results on CNN, passing the night with our group of 163 comrades from various western suburban departments. McLean and I shared our mixed feelings of excitement and apprehension and confessed our common conundrum of wives wishing we had not accepted the assignment. We were, simply, excited to be part of something bigger than us. And if eating pizza with our brethren in blue was our way to contribute, then by golly, we were up for the challenge.
Berwyn's Chief Kushner, a Chicago styled cop, who minced no words and made no secret of his loyalty to and concern for his troops, was at the microphone as we arrived in the community room. There was no pizza. "Chicago PD has called for ILEAS to deploy immediately…two potential threats have already been intercepted…Get in your teams, grab your radios and saddle up…We're heading to Area 4 Headquarters at Harrison and Kedzie."
This was not the welcome any of us had anticipated. After the briefest of briefings, each team was handed a roll of duct tape and instructed to apply the versatile problem solver to the windows of each squad. "This'll help when they start throwin' rocks and bottles," - a certainly unanticipated precaution. Once again, I found myself being handed a "Sharpie."
"Write your team name and info on one of your hands with the marker…if you're found somewhere, we'll know where to return you," boomed Chief Kushner from the podium. The six of us, plus our two valiant park district cousins, paused for just a moment to share a quizzical glance. None of us were entirely sure what "if you're found" was supposed to mean. Fearing the worst, we didn't inquire. Nervously, I scribbled the letters, "ILEAS west TEAM 2C," the call sign applied to Hochy and me for the next several hours, onto my left hand.
With our windows adequately taped and our hands appropriately labeled we clumsily strapped our gas masks to our legs and reset the GPS for Harrison and Kedzie. Having grown up on the south side, I knew what Harrison and Kedzie looks like. It's a long way from the half million dollar houses on Sassafras Lane. This was not what any of us had expected, but, yet, there was a sense of excitement present within the sheer terror I was experiencing.
What happened next was one of the most amazing things I've seen in my brief career in law enforcement: 163 Officers in half as many squads running "code 2" in a convoy from Berwyn PD to Area 4 HQ via I-290. What must people have been thinking as we virtually took over the interstate? That's when the magnitude of the event began to hit me. I was small part of a magnificent and amazing thing. On a night when history would be made, I had the privilege of working side by side with this group of intrepid warriors to preserve the peace. I simultaneously felt smaller and larger than I'd ever been before.
With the exhilaration of the caravan code run behind us, our arrival at Area 4 was anti-climactic to say the least. We met our Chicago PD team leader, Lt. Kelenyi, whose first orders to us were, "go get some dinner and we'll see ya in a hour." Instead of charging headlong into the heart of darkness, I found myself munching an egg plant parmesan at Ricobenes at 26th and Canal. Well, if that's what it took to keep the world safe, I was prepared to do it…with or without extra mozzarella.
We were tasked to stage at 69th and Ashland following our high carb, low drag meal break. We'd been reassigned from the west side to the south side which, given my childhood familiarity with the area, served to mitigate my apprehension considerably.
The folks at the strip mall didn't know what hit them as we filed into the lot, filling nearly every parking space. We assembled in our teams. Team 2 was Naperville, Naperville Park District, Roselle, and Westchester. Two hours past with the only mission undertaken, being Krzos and me running a recon excursion to locate the nearest Dunkin Donuts for a cup. (MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, by the way).
Then came the announcement of Obama having accumulated sufficient electoral votes to secure the presidency. As a former history and political science teacher, my mind momentarily wandered, considering how future historians would reflect on this event. I was jolted abruptly back to the here-and-now by what would be the first of many volleys of automatic gunfire. The CPD radio I'd been issued erupted in a cacophony of chatter. "Shots fired…foot pursuit…man with a gun…burglary in progress…criminal damage in progress…man down!" It was as if our dispatchers had pulled tape of every significant incident they would broadcast in an entire year, edited them together in a sequence and looped the tape to run in a 15 minute cycle. As we listened to CPD officers responding on the radio and watched as their cool blue LED lights whizzed by our strip mall, we realized that a "shots fired" call in Chicago doesn't mean 5 teenage kids with a pack a fire crackers. Suddenly those dorky looking Kevlar helmets we'd packed didn't seem like such a bad idea.
Our casual conversation turned to nervous discussions about when best to chamber a round in our rifles or how many pairs of "flex-cuffs" we had. I suddenly found myself trying to remember exactly what Chief Kushner (Mike Kushner, formerly of 025) had said about use of force rules at our briefing. Then, ILEAS Team 1 was deployed. We were on deck. Within a minute of Team 1 hitting the streets our number was up.
"ILEAS west Team 2, we need you at 67th and Ashland to secure that area." I remember the twinge in my neck as I whacked my helmet covered cranium on the door frame getting into the Impala. Now the CD player seemed inconsequential in lieu of the wider door opening on the Crown Vic. We filed into the eight unit caravan and headed north on Ashland, Code 2, to lay siege to our assigned intersection.
It was reminiscent of so much CNN coverage I'd seen of GIs in conveys barreling through the streets of Falujah. We were awkward in our combat gear as we peered through the taped windows. Angry locals jeered and gestured from the roadside as we passed, some leaping out into the street, lunging at our cars. An officer from a different team learned the hard way that windows-up was the safest way to pass after catching a random fist in the face from a reveler.
As we screeched into our destination, the crowd dispersed, presumably in response to our display of force. We found a man in his fifties bleeding from the head, lying in a parking lot, unconscious and unresponsive. Witnesses simply said some guy beat him up and ran off. CPD arrived quickly and took over the scene, calling for an ambulance. With the scene stabilized, we were promptly redeployed. Our job tonight was not to investigate or linger. We were being used as shock and awe to bring overwhelming force quickly and decisively to restore order and move on. There was no time for pens and notebooks, recording names and dates of birth, or interviewing witnesses as we're all programmed to do.
We moved on from location to location in this manner for about 2 hours; charging in, looking menacing. CPD were in standard patrol uniforms, no helmets or gas masks. When we showed up, geared up, the reaction commonly was, "Uh Oh, they called out the SWAT team!" Until, of course, some curious onlooker would wander close enough to read the shoulder patch. "Naperville, they brought Naperville up in here?" Then the hoax was up.
After a few small skirmishes including a street fight between two homeless females over a 40 ounce of "Bud," CPD command released all mutual aid units at about 0030 hrs. We broke to return to Berwyn.
On the ride back we reflected on our experience. It was awesome to be part of such a significant event. More importantly, it was awesome none of us got hurt. I was amazed at the amount of planning, collaboration and coordination that went into to pulling off something of such magnitude. From the miniscule logistics of making sure there were enough radios and providing parking, to the command and control structure; the entire mechanism ran smoothly, safely and effectively.
The opportunity to see how the other half lives was very enlightening. I'll never quite see my job the same. On one hand, I'm grateful that as an NPD officer, I have the time to talk to people, to stop and lend a hand, to ask a few extra questions. Conversely, I'll be looking through a different lens the next time I take a report of a damaged mailbox or missing campaign sign. I'll stop at that moment and wonder, just for a minute, what call our brothers and sisters in Chicago are heading to and if they'll be safe when they get there.
As I write this, I can still faintly see the shadow of the letters, "ILEAS" on the back of my left hand; a subtle reminder of my participation in this amazing event.
I'll never look at a Sharpie the same way again.

NRO takes a fantastic, and enlightening look, at Saul Alinsky and how Team Obama are tearing down, and rebuilding, the foundational fabric of our society. All in the name of 'Change.'
Moderates thought they were electing a moderate; liberals thought they were electing a liberal. Both camps were wrong. Ideology does not have the final say in Obama’s decision-making; an Alinskyite’s core principle is to take any action that expands his power and to avoid any action that risks his power.
As conservatives size up their new foe, they ought to remember: It’s not about liberalism. It’s about power. Obama will jettison anything that costs him power, and do anything that enhances it — including invite Rick Warren to give the benediction at his inauguration, dine with conservative columnists, and dismiss an appointee at the White House Military Office to ensure the perception of accountability.
In Alinsky's book "Rules for Radicals" - he penned the dedication to Satan. He wrote that Satan did what he (Alinsky) was trying to do: agitate in order to scrape out a section of Heaven for himself. It was a power grab.
It is worrisome that Obama was so enthralled with Alinsky. It shows that he'll do whatever it takes to get and maintain power, at any cost.
America is not an ideal to be maintained, but a tool to be exploited so that Michelle can afford those $545 sneaks.
The reason? Because they gave up on real - unbiased investigative - journalism decades ago.
Tribune ad revenue is down 20% already this year and they're laying off employees all over. Any connection between the two? I say yes.
Case in point: From last Sunday's Tribune Magazine. "Gorman vs. Goliath - The Guantanamo Labyrinth."
The article, written by Tom Hundley, is inaccurate on so many levels that I suspect it was written with a 6th grade audience in mind. That doesn't seem to bother the editorial board over at the Tribune though. As long as it undermines our war effort, emboldens our enemies, points a bloody finger at Bush & Co., and bestows United States constitutional rights on foreign combatants, they're more than willing to overlook the facts. Here's an excerpt:
In the months after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the highest-ranking officials in the Bush administration -- Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Colin Powell, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Atty. Gen. John Ashcroft, CIA Director George Tenet and National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice -- met in the White House and quietly agreed to override some of the basic provisions of the U.S. Constitution that protect individual rights. They also decided to disregard the Geneva Conventions and to sanction the use of torture, which they renamed "enhanced interrogation techniques." All of this they did in the name of national security.
To provide legal cover for these activities (and to immunize themselves against future prosecution), they enlisted a cadre of government lawyers to draft opinions that cloaked what many believe to be war crimes in an aura of respectability. Ashcroft, a man of ponderous public piety, reportedly warned the group that "history will not judge us kindly."
Restoring the rule of law has been a long, tough slog for a disparate and dedicated group of lawyers, including a large contingent from Chicago.
The article descends into Unhinged Leftist pabulum from there. The fact is that the Bush administration didn't have to "quietly agree to override some of the basic provisions of the U.S. constitution that protect individual rights" because the "rights" do not extend to foreigners fighters captured during war. There is plenty of precedent regarding that but the Left conveniently forgets many things that are still relevant.
Second, the precious Geneva Conventions that the LibTards are so enamored with apply in the following situations ONLY (with respect to POWs)
* 4.1.1 Members of the armed forces of a Party to the conflict and members of militias of such armed forces
* 4.1.2 Members of other militias and members of other volunteer corps, including those of organized resistance movements, provided that they fulfill all of the following conditions:
o that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates;
o that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance;
o that of carrying arms openly;
o that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.
* 4.1.3 Members of regular armed forces who profess allegiance to a government or an authority not recognized by the Detaining Power.
* 4.1.4 Civilians who have non-combat support roles with the military and who carry a valid identity card issued by the military they support.
* 4.1.5 Merchant marine and the crews of civil aircraft of the Parties to the conflict, who do not benefit by more favourable treatment under any other provisions of international law.
* 4.1.6 Inhabitants of a non-occupied territory, who on the approach of the enemy spontaneously take up arms to resist the invading forces, without having had time to form themselves into regular armed units, provided they carry arms openly and respect the laws and customs of war.
* 4.3 makes explicit that Article 33 takes precedence for the treatment of medical personnel of the enemy and chaplains of the enemy.
(Article 5 specifies that prisoners of war (as defined in article 4) are protected from the time of their capture until their final repatriation. It also specifies that when there is any doubt whether a combatant belongs to the categories in article 4, they should be treated as such until their status has been determined by a competent tribunal.)
So, cherished reader, straight from the Geneva Protocols themselves - you can plainly read that AQ Terrorists aren't protected combatants. You wouldn't know that if you just read the headlines at the NYTimes, LATimes and ChiCom Tribune.
And the word Torture has been so dummied down over the last 10 years that the following are now considered "torture" by our unenlightened Liberal handlers:
* exposure to loud music
* exposure to cold
* exposure to female nudity
* exposure to furry caterpillars
* sleep deprivation
* simulated drowning (waterboarding)
You call that torture??!?!!? Al-Qaeda and other genuine terrorists know how to "really" torture. Here is an image from their official, unofficial guide to infidel torture by Al-Qaeda:
I used to know a Tribune reporter. His name was Ernie and he spent alot of time in the Middle East. He was in Egypt right after the Luxor massacre. He witnessed first-hand how the Eqyptian government handled the incident. Their secret police scooped up almost 2,500 people and shoved them into jails. One by one they interrogated them until they found about 2 dozen who were probably involved.
Most countries have real world common sense initiatives when it comes to Jihadi violence.
Not the United States apparently. Not with Leftist idiots part of the Fifth Column.

Full story here.
Justice was finally served. I just hope that the case for the prosecution is strong. It seems that the evidence recently "found" in an ISP patrol car was the catalyst for this speedy arrest. The evidence allegedly shows that police knew where Peterson was at almost the exact moment when Stacey Peterson went missing. I don't know all the details but this will be an interesting case to watch.

....The sources, who represent creditors to Chrysler, say they were taken aback by the hardball tactics that the Obama administration employed to cajole them into acquiescing to plans to restructure Chrysler. One person described the administration as the most shocking "end justifies the means" group they have ever encountered. Another characterized Obama was "the most dangerous smooth talker on the planet- and I knew Kissinger." Both were voters for Obama in the last election.....
The story at Business Insider doesn't address this but I heard an interview with one of the attorneys who represent the hedge fund that is part of the Chrysler restructuring. This man said that the Obama administration told his client that if he "didn't play ball" the Obama administration would "unleash the press corps" against him.
This is unbelievable - but not entirely a surprise.
Obama came out of nowhere, and out of the swamps of Illinois-Crook County politics. He knows how to play bare-knuckle politics. His handlers will do anything to consolidate their power base - absolutely anything.
This is just a taste of what's to come from this confused young man who shouldn't be president.

Although not a true "Reagan Soldier" - Kemp did his best to foment conservative principles when Reagan was around. Sadly I'd say he could have done alot more to promote conservationism.
He'll be missed.
One thing I'll remember is Kemp-Roth. 25% across the board tax cuts helped fuel the boom and recovery of the United States economy well into the late 1990s.
As Reagan so eloquently put it, "A rising tide lifts all boats."

While the Leftists and Obama-Drones are writhing in orgasmic ecstasy over Barack Obama's first 100 days in office, those of us who pay attention to the details are understandably upset at this outrageous wholesale theft of public resources.
A few of my recent commentators have suggested that we Republicans are upset because we lost. The aspersion cast is that we're acting like "cry-babies."
I can only speak for myself, but I'm upset for a number of reasons - none of which has anything to do with which party won the last election. We now have a radical Marxist in office, someone who doesn't like America. Now we can see that those 20 years of lessons sitting at the knee of Jeremiah Wright really DID sink in. While Obama is going overseas and sucking up to third-world despots like Hugo Chavez, Raul and Fidel Castro, and Daniel Noriega - he is agreeing with our enemies and apologizing for the United States of America. What do we have to apologize for? Should we apologize for leading the world in life saving drugs? Technological innovations driven by a fast-fading free market economy? Should we apologize for going overseas to national disasters and spending billions on rescue operations? Maybe we should apologize for promising $50 billion to Aid to Africa?
Back to my point: I am angry at seeing a government growing increasingly hostile and out of control. So while the Lickspittles in the media do what their Handler tells them to do, let's take a look at some facts on Obama's First 100 days. I watched his press conference on Wednesday and was appalled at the lies that this guy spewed.
Let's look at three for now (I don't really have time today to get to all of them):
Lie #1 - "Obama inherited the deficit from Bush" - This is a big one. While BHO was a back-bencher state senator, and as a US senator - he voted for every one of the Bush administration's big government spending plan. He wanted government programs to grow and grow. On top of that, BHO has quadrupled Federal government spending. We're going to have $1 trillion of deficits every year for the next 10 years. The Congressional Budget office says that Obama's budget is "unsustainable" - which is as stringent a term as they could use short of "fucking retarded." Obama's plan will only make things much worse in the long term. We're already seeing that our GDP shrank 6.1% last year. That is the worst performance in 51 years. The CSMonitor reports that what's contributing to this is the fall in exports, private inventory investment, equipment and software sales, fixed investment in nonresidential structures, and residential fixed investment. This is exactly why Obama's plans won't work: He's draining the private sector through taxation and over-regulation to pay for his social programs.
So far, Obama's only proposal for dealing with the funding shortage is a tax increase on high earners, leaving "95% of working families" untouched. But the math doesn't work. In 2006, the latest year for which data are available, the top 5% of families took home a whopping 36% of national taxable income, and paid 20% of that, or around $600 billion, in Federal income tax. But even before the president's ambitious health care plan emerges from the Congressional policy grinder, the CBO estimates that his budget plans to spend an additional $400 billion each year. He's not going to get there with a small, or even a large, tax increase on high earners. For one thing, the share of national income collected by the top 5% has undoubtedly dropped sharply since 2006, because their incomes tend to depend more on capital and business income, and on bonuses, all of which have fallen off. (That's why tax revenues fell off so steeply in 2001.) And work by economists Thomas Piketty and Emmanuel Saez suggests that the deeper the crisis, the longer and deeper the hit to top incomes: the lessening of the gap between rich and poor during the fifties and sixties may in fact have been largely attributable to the deleterious effects of the Great Depression and World War II..
Even the Libs over at the San Francisco Examiner are predicting that Obama's inept economic policies are reminiscent of the Weimer Republic. 1,000% inflation rate anyone?
Lie #2 - "Obama's policies will create or save many jobs" - Don't make me laugh! USAToday reports that the unemployment rate in March was 8.5%, the highest in a quarter-century. The rate of underemployment — part-timers who wanted full-time work or those who had stopped looking for a job — hit a record 15.6%. With small businesses being asked to pay more and more, the entrepreneurs will have less capital to pay or hire employees. The only proven way to create jobs is to cut taxes and reduce government meddling in private enterprise. Sadly our doofus President is blinded by his own arcane ideology to see the rationale. CNN reports that right now 109 US cities have unemployment of 10% or higher.
Lie #3 - "Our Health care system is broken and only nationalizing it will fix it." - We have the best health care system in the world. BHO said the other day that he wants to lower health care costs. Do you understand how he'll do that under a nationalized health care plan? He'll close hospitals, deny services, eliminate MRI/CAT machines, fire nurses, doctors and their staff, and funnel life and death decisions about you and your loved ones to some bureaucratic council.
Obama-Drones love to say that socialized medicine works in the UK. Oh yea? How about this lovely piece published by the Daily Mail (UK)? The story points out that thousands of kidney cancer patients are likely to lose out on life-prolonging drugs because the National Health Service (NHS) is denying them access to 3 out of 4 new life-saving drugs. The NHS has a "rationing" council - ironically named with the acronym NICE - which decides what drugs UK citizens get and don't get. So do you want some faceless bureaucrat making a decision on whether your 7 year old little girl will get an MRI to diagnose a brain tumor? OR whether a new cancer drug will be authorized for your 66 year old father who's fighting for another 6 months of life? Not me, but that is EXACTLY what you'll get with national health care.
Even as I write this, a secret, closed door session of the Finance Committee is meeting to hammer out what our new national health care system will look like. Is this committee bipartisan? No. It is all made up of Democrats.
Do not believe the propaganda that there are 46 million uninsured in this country. That is a flat out lie. As I've posted before, 10 million of that number are illegal aliens. Here is a fantastic and thorough (Healthcare Costs for Illegals is Staggering) breakdown of where we are with illegals and their locust like behavior when it comes to health care. Illegal immigration will bancrupt us - as they are causing hospitals across the country to close because they don't pay their bills.
70% of those uninsured are uninsured for less than one year. 50% of that 46 million number are people who make over $50,000 per year and choose not to pay for coverage. Also, many of them are between the ages of 18 to 34 and don't need coverage right now.
Bottom line: Obama wants to take over (nationalize) the heath care industry, the banks, finance companies, the auto industry and the energy industry. Health care accounts for 16% of our GDP, energy accounts for 7%. The constitution, which he swore to uphold, strictly prohibits the federal government from acting in such an outrageous manner. Federalism is the concept that the Feds get their power from the states - it is now topsy-turvy: The states are now at the beck and call of the Federal government.
While BHO is busy demonizing Justice Department attorneys, kissing the ass of Marxist dictators, and apologizing for the United States - he's also busy enslaving millions of Americans through an unsustainable taxation and entitlement mindset.
God save us from these Charlatans.
