Her boyfriend, Ricardo Morrison, was convicted of murdering the girl - but get this. Under British sentencing standards, Morrison faces a maximum of 24 years in jail. He'll be 40ish when released.

He must serve a MINIMUM of 24 years before he MAY be considered for parole. If he is considered too dangerous to be released he stays inside. Once released he is on a life sentence ie. Offend again and you are liableto be returned to prison to serve out your original sentence (life imprisonment)
