The Tentacles of Team Obama

More and more news outlets are picking up and running the story that Obama is doing one thing in public, and then threatening private citizens in private.

....The sources, who represent creditors to Chrysler, say they were taken aback by the hardball tactics that the Obama administration employed to cajole them into acquiescing to plans to restructure Chrysler. One person described the administration as the most shocking "end justifies the means" group they have ever encountered. Another characterized Obama was "the most dangerous smooth talker on the planet- and I knew Kissinger." Both were voters for Obama in the last election.....

The story at Business Insider doesn't address this but I heard an interview with one of the attorneys who represent the hedge fund that is part of the Chrysler restructuring. This man said that the Obama administration told his client that if he "didn't play ball" the Obama administration would "unleash the press corps" against him.

This is unbelievable - but not entirely a surprise.

Obama came out of nowhere, and out of the swamps of Illinois-Crook County politics. He knows how to play bare-knuckle politics. His handlers will do anything to consolidate their power base - absolutely anything.

This is just a taste of what's to come from this confused young man who shouldn't be president.

Buy American. Don't buy those Springfield Armory XD's! They are made in Croatia. Guns built by Poland's unwanted step-kids.

Rue haven't we been having some variant of this conversation for about a year now? What are you still unsure about? Obama is an emissary of our nation's elite. Today that means the financial industry and the major investor class in general. That would explain why an outfit such as Chrysler, representing the real economy (i.e creating things of utility and value--thus REAL WEALTH), is seen as expendable.

Ergo, the "sanctity of contracts" must be honored with regards to the AIG hustlers and their counter-parties to the tune of tens of billions, but workers who bled and sweated on Chrysler assembly lines for thirty years are shit out of luck when in comes to their contractually obligated pension and health care benefits.

Again I'm forced to ask you Rue if you've been paying attention for the past 18 months. There is nothing "confused" about the Obama administration's determined efforts* to sentence the rest of us to generations of debt peonage as the necessary sacrifice for making whole again the reckless speculators and insolvent banking corporations who have destroyed the world economy.

*(nor that of Team Bush before it).

You guys are wussies. After the murderball tactics of the Bush Regime you want to cry foul. Team Obama is the only chance the USA has of making a comeback on the international stage. I am a 30 year veteran of the CPD and believe me I voted for President Obama with relish! I am glad we finally have adult leadership in the White House. I was in Paris during my last furlough prior to retirement and trust me Europeans love Obama. Bush was and is viewed as a swashbuckling renegade. And as far as Supt. Weis. The vitrol you hear about him comes from ony one segment of the CPD. That segment being the same knuckleheads who turned sweaty and pale at the announcement of barrack Hussein Obama's ascension to the White House.
