The House Alinsky Built

Saul Alinsky is probably the single-biggest influence on Barack Hussein Obama's fundamental philosophy.

NRO takes a fantastic, and enlightening look, at Saul Alinsky and how Team Obama are tearing down, and rebuilding, the foundational fabric of our society. All in the name of 'Change.'

Moderates thought they were electing a moderate; liberals thought they were electing a liberal. Both camps were wrong. Ideology does not have the final say in Obama’s decision-making; an Alinskyite’s core principle is to take any action that expands his power and to avoid any action that risks his power.

As conservatives size up their new foe, they ought to remember: It’s not about liberalism. It’s about power. Obama will jettison anything that costs him power, and do anything that enhances it — including invite Rick Warren to give the benediction at his inauguration, dine with conservative columnists, and dismiss an appointee at the White House Military Office to ensure the perception of accountability.

In Alinsky's book "Rules for Radicals" - he penned the dedication to Satan. He wrote that Satan did what he (Alinsky) was trying to do: agitate in order to scrape out a section of Heaven for himself. It was a power grab.

It is worrisome that Obama was so enthralled with Alinsky. It shows that he'll do whatever it takes to get and maintain power, at any cost.

America is not an ideal to be maintained, but a tool to be exploited so that Michelle can afford those $545 sneaks.

The shoes worn by the First lady only proves more than ever the Obamas are part of the corrupt capitalist system. He no more wants "true" Socialism than the other phony rich liberals in Congress..

P.S. Someone told me that there was a thread over at SCC which attacked me in a thread. I was attacked because they said I criticized officers who shot an offender. I have not posted there in over a year, and have only visited it twice in months. I suspect it is someone with an agenda. Things are pretty bad when they bring up my philosophy.

Yes things are pretty bad. You love Obama, voted for him, supported him, and now you lie - denying that you support him.

Like all liberals you are a liar. Take your comments about SCC. "Someone told me..." - a lie. "I have not posted there in over year" - another lie.

Things are bad because you leftist liberals got your wish. You put a clueless, ignorant, untested, self-serving Anti-American in the White House. You wept when he was inaugurated, all while congratulating yourself that you showed the world "See, I'm a GOOD white man, I voted for a black man." Patronizing fool!

Your philosophy is the typical leftist liberal credo: Believe in nothing, so you will fall for anything.

Don't respond by bringing up anything about Bush. That's what you dumbass libs always do - never offer a solution, only lots of blame.

Things ARE bad. And they are going to get much, much worse. Your support of the left has brought you a pyrrhic victory from which we may not recover. Even morons like you are starting to discover how bad things are getting.

First off, I did not vote for Obama. Rue-y here will tell you that. in fact, during the campaign Coldtype and myself took to task those on the left who supported him. Look it up.

We both supported Nader. Was on this site, publicly.

Secondly, I have not posted on SCC in over a year. He banned me there. Even SCC can tell you that.

Finally, you think this economy was not in the tilet when Obama took over? You are the one to have to look at reality, not I.

Clearly you’re delusional my friend.

@ Always Right

Please get a clue. If you're going to attack those you identify as the "left" have the self-respect not to embarrass yourself about where the Authentic Left actually stands in regards to Obama. As Lefty stated, our views on the Barockstar ain't hard to find.

Where's the gun ban Obama promised? We need a full ban on those assault style weapons now. Outlaw semi-auto pistols for all. Let the police carry revolvers like their daddies did. How about having range folks who can pass the power test?

I got news for you, you guys are not the Authentic Left, you are the "ABSENTMINDED LEFT."

Ralph Nader - Darth Vader - what's the difference? You leftists exist in a latte-driven fantasy world! (But thanks for the laughs!)

Alright Kids - If I have to pull this blog over you're all in trouble!

Lefty and ColdType were backing Nader/Gonzalez during the election.

Although I find much fault with their philosophy - they're outright Marxists - I suspect that Lefty is telling the truth on this one.

Coldtype: Thanks for the link. It proves my point; BrandObama is nothing more than a thinly veiled marketing tool. He says the right things, dresses nice, is articulate and stays away from things that may get him in trouble (no responsibilities for his actions). The reason why I make the case that Alinsky is his foundational philosopher is that you only have to look at what Obama is doing to the hedgefund managers at Chrysler to recognize the Machiavellian hand of Saul Alinsky. The President of the United States actually threatened private citizens to conform or else he'd release his Press Corps Hounds on to them....they'd be "denounced" (To use Stalin's tactic against his enemies.)

Rue, the hedge fund hell-hounds who don't want to eat the shit-sandwich the American taxpayers are being fed, i.e socialize the losses of speculators at public expense, is exactly what is supposed to happen when you gamble on the wrong horse.

Chrysler, the company Ceribus owned, is BANKRUPT. Is it the taxpayer's responsibility to bail these fuckers out so that they may sail on to dismember and devour yet another company after picking its carcass clean? My argument has always been that the cram-down forced on the Chrysler bondholders is precisely what Obama should have done to the bondholders of the Big Five Wall Street investment banks and the AIG counter-parties (largely one and the same). Had he done so the US taxpayer would not be on the hook for 13 trillion dollars in debt that we have no hope of ever paying off.
