It still amazes me the MSM hasn't put it together yet that Barack Hussein Obama is a closet Marxist radical. They certainly don't want to advertise that fact since it would hurt "The Messiah" in the polls. The LibTard, Democratic journalists are too busy fawning over him to do the job they were hired to do: Investigate him!

So what is a person to do? Turn to the Bloggers and to the Op-ed writers at authentic venues of journalism. This from Investors Business Daily.

Obama is focused on this idea of "economic justice". Sitting in the pews at Trinity Church for those two decades really inculcated the idea that there is a "fixed pie" of wealth in society and that all you have to do to get "justice" is to redistribute it. Gee that sounds like Communism????

"Economic justice" simply means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It's a euphemism for socialism. In the past, such rhetoric was just that — rhetoric. But Obama's positioning himself with alarming stealth to put that rhetoric into action on a scale not seen since the birth of the welfare state. In his latest memoir he shares that he'd like to "recast" the welfare net that FDR and LBJ cast while rolling back what he derisively calls the "winner-take-all" market economy that Ronald Reagan reignited (with record gains in living standards for all). Obama also talks about "restoring fairness to the economy," code for soaking the "rich" — a segment of society he fails to understand that includes mom-and-pop businesses filing individual tax returns. It's clear from a close reading of his two books that he's a firm believer in class envy. He assumes the economy is a fixed pie, whereby the successful only get rich at the expense of the poor. Following this discredited Marxist model, he believes government must step in and redistribute pieces of the pie. That requires massive transfers of wealth through government taxing and spending, a return to the entitlement days of old. Of course, Obama is too smart to try to smuggle such hoary collectivist garbage through the front door. He's disguising the wealth transfers as "investments" — "to make America more competitive," he says, or "that give us a fighting chance," whatever that means. Among his proposed "investments": • "Universal," "guaranteed" health care. • "Free" college tuition. • "Universal national service" (a la Havana). • "Universal 401(k)s" (in which the government would match contributions made by "low- and moderate-income families"). • "Free" job training (even for criminals). • "Wage insurance" (to supplement dislocated union workers' old income levels). • "Free" child care and "universal" preschool. • More subsidized public housing. • A fatter earned income tax credit for "working poor." • And even a Global Poverty Act that amounts to a Marshall Plan for the Third World, first and foremost Africa. His new New Deal also guarantees a "living wage," with a $10 minimum wage indexed to inflation; and "fair trade" and "fair labor practices," with breaks for "patriot employers" who cow-tow to unions, and sticks for "nonpatriot" companies that don't. That's just for starters — first-term stuff.

Articles like this should be front page on periodicals like the NYTimes, LATimes and Chicago Tribune. It is painfully obvious by now that "Barry" isn't being truthful and honest with anyone about how deeply indoctrinated he is in Marxist rhetoric. He sat at the knee of radical leftists and imbibed their bitter poison about class rivalries, racial divisions and economic redistribution of wealth (socialism) and not one journalist out there dares to call a spade a spade?!!?!?

Man we're in trouble when a guy like this can get so close to the White House.

No more Michael Savage

I'm officially deleting Michael Savage from my blog.

I quit listening to him months ago but recently heard his scandalous remarks about Autism, and then had the audacity to try to spin what he said.

While Autism hasn't effected me or my family, I still didn't like his remarks.

I also got tired of his constant whining about his CAIR lawsuit, and the continual pleadings for money in order to fund his legal expenses.

I know he makes millions per year, and yet he can't cough up $50,000 to fund his own legal initiative against CAIR? Give me a break.

The constant talk about his past, his favorite restaurants, his Mom's meatball recipe, and his meanderings about other talkshow hosts finally pushed me over the edge.

I think he's got some personal issues that are bleeding over into his show and making him less and less attractive as a radio host.

I want a fast paced show that is full of facts and interactions. Savage's show has none of that. It's all about him and his latest money making scheme.

John McCain for president

My wife is going to kill me but I just bought a front yard sign from John McCain's website.

When I see what the Democrats are fielding, I have no choice but to back and support John McCain. As bad as McCain is with supporting illegal immigration and his absolutely blatant pandering to hispanic groups, I'm getting behind him but with serious reservations.

Another issue that McCain is missing on is Global Warming. If he really knew what he was talking about, he'd publicly say that man-made Global Warming is a hoax. The science is finally catching up to rhetoric and, time will show that man-made green house gases do little or nothing to affect world-wide median temperatures.

From reading the article, it seems that Obama's Dad had quite a checkered past. He never met a woman that he didn't knock up, it seems.

This just reminds me of all the hullabaloo surrounding Bill Clinton's "hero" single mother who fought every disadvantage to raise her two boys up "right." We all see how that turned out, and now we can see where Obama's big character flaw lies.

He's just a little kid, looking for a father figure, who never grew up. Just like Slick Willy.

John Edwards has Mistress & Love child

Well the appalling double standard and media bias continues unchecked.

John Edwards, the erst-while presidential candidate, was caught in a posh Beverly Hills hotel with his mistress. The little weasel was chased into a Mens' room and, cowered ashen-faced while pleading to the security guard, "What are they saying about me?"

You may not have heard this story because the media decidedly buried the story.

If he'd been a conservative, MSNBC and CNN would have run the footage ad nauseum. I'm waiting to see when he's going to invoke the hallowed, time-honored Democratic excuse of a "vast RightWing conspiracy" as the cause for this controversy.

Now you see why no one trusts the Drive-By Media. They only cover the stories that support their world-view.

So the lesson here, kids? Be a Democrat and you can get away with almost anything. $90,000 worth of brides in your freezer? Don't resign, have a press conference and say you're going to "fight for justice."

Fort Mount Greenwood under seige

For decades now Mt. Greenwood has been an island unto itself. Composed mostly of white, middle class families - many of whom are police and firemen - the neighborhood has enjoyed being relatively free from crime.

Now that is all changing.

Since May 1, 2008 beats 2211 and 2212 have had an inordinate number of robberies - armed and strong arm. All have been committed by a group of black men. These offenders are probably from the east end of the district.

These types of situations could be prevented by having a trained and armed group of citizens. If the criminals thought for one second that the victim that they've targeted had a gun, they'd certainly think twice about doing the crime.

If you live in Beverly or Mt. Greenwood, make sure you stay aware of your surroundings. If you're licensed to conceal and carry, regardless of what state you're certified in, I'd recommend that you begin carrying your weapon on your person when in these neighborhoods.

City of Chicago Ignores Constitution

Today's Chicago Tribune reports that "Da Mayor" and his cronies are going to continue to violate the US Constitution.

City Corporation Counsel Mara Georges told a City Council committee Thursday that she's prepared to fight those lawsuits all the way to the Supreme Court. "Chicago's gun ordinance was not invalidated by the . . . decision. Three prior Supreme Court decisions have found that the Second Amendment does not apply to states and municipalities," Georges said. "The decision did not change that case law." Georges said she's confident that the U.S. District Court will dismiss the gun lobby lawsuit challenging Chicago's existing laws.

So your city leaders are vowing to keep legal gun ownership out of reach; a direct contravention of the Second Amendment.

Even though the supreme court upheld the rights of citizens to legally own a gun, the city knows better than you. The city, in all its faux-wisdom, has decided that you don't have a right to defend your home, your family, or your own life. You are just alittle cog in the wheel of Socialist Chicago and you must abide by what the Politburo at 121 N. Lasalle decides is good for you.

I wonder if Mayor Daley's sycophant, Mara Georges, even lives in Chicago? Out of curiosity I ran her name through ZabaSearch and found this record. I don't know if this is the same Mara Georges that works for Da Mayor but it wouldn't surprise me to find that she gets to live in the suburbs. The rest of us are required to live in this louse-ridden city, but apparently if you're a civilian apparatchik for "Da Mayor" you can live where ever you want.



Oh, and the "Da Mayor" can continue to shield illegal aliens - again in violation of Federal Laws.

It is just the latest gaffe, in a long line of them, from "Barry" The Messiah Obama.

Wow! What a goof. If you notice, whenever Obama is not reading from a teleprompter he stutters and meanders aimlessly.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say: He is obviously not very bright. His handlers are working overtime to keep from improvising. They won't let him talk in a townhall setting. He won't debate McCain or anyone.

He has no knowledge about foreign policy and the more he opens his mouth; the more it becomes clear that he isn't qualified to be our President.

The Tribune company is laying off people left and right in order to allow their new leader the luxury of paying off his $13 billion debt load.

In fact, one disgruntled employee is now blogging about the behind-the-scenes drama on his own website. The site is TellZell.com.

I have little love for the MSM. They just aren't doing much reporting these days. Much of what I read (online) is so much agenda driven drivel.

When it comes to crime reporting, they can't even be bothered to write up a decent description of the offender. We all know why that is - the journalists are the standard bearers of Political Correctness.

But, for those of us who came from a corporate background, I kinda feel for these guys.

Sure they've brought it on themselves but I remember all too well working in a multinational corporation and just how sterile and lifeless it was. The hours, the asshole bosses, the pointless meetings that were set up so some mid-level goof could spew his non-sense about the cost of clay pottery in Costa Rica...it was brutal.

And when they were downsizing, it was just like the scenes out of Office Space. The rumors, the innuendo, the water cooler huddles and the wild speculation. No one feels good about being let go and the boss always take the hit from the little people for the top-down decisions.

One interesting tidbit I read there was this. They're going to use universal copy desk software to be able to publish news stories from all over the place. A reporter in Orlando, Florida can log in and publish a story and it will appear in the LATimes and Chicago Tribune simultaneously. I don't know all the in and outs about what the papers do but this seems pretty efficient.

Doing more with less....sounds like the Mayor's idea of law enforcement.

For decades now the Leftists who are buried in our media and courts have waged a relentless campaign to win the "hearts and minds" of you - the American citizen.

What they so desperately want to do is convince you that their highest priority is your personal safety and freedoms. Meanwhile they're working like devils to dismantle the family unit; pushing the explosion of big government to run its 'nanny-state' welfare programs, and the pumping Political Correctness into our collective unconcious so that they can impose their warped Utopian fantasies on us.

In order to do this they've had to rely on activist judges to by-pass the ballot boxes you so, dear reader, won't have any say-so on laws that govern your life and conduct.

Even though it is a complete and utter hoax, we still hear how the "evil republicans" are only concerned about "big oil", corporate profits, and stripping away the rights of citizens. Republicans are portrayed as racist, tobacco chewing thugs who love NASCAR, country music and lynching black people.

So that brings me to the crux of today's post. In Great Britain right now there are 1,043 laws that give the government the right to kick your door in without a warrant.

The march of the Big Brother state under Labour was highlighted last night as it was revealed that there are now 1,043 laws that give the authorities the power to enter a home or business. Nearly half have been introduced since Labour came to power 11 years ago. They include the right to: • Invade your home to see if your pot plants have pests or do not have a 'plant passport' (Plant Health England Order 2005). • Survey your home and garden to see if your hedge is too high (Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003). • Check that accommodation given to asylum seekers is not being lived in by non-asylum seekers (Immigration and Asylum Act 1999). • Raid a house to check if unlicensed gambling is taking place (Gambling Act 2005 Inspection Regulations 2007). • Seize fridges without the correct energy rating (Energy Information Household Refrigerators and Freezers Regulations 2004). The rise in clipboard-wielding state inspectors flies in the face of repeated pledges by Ministers to curb the power of bureaucrats. The full extent of the state's 'powers of entry' is revealed in documents slipped out quietly by the Government last week. The information was posted on the Home Office website, but in a highly unusual move, the computer file was locked to prevent it being copied or printed. A secret Home Office password was required to access the file.

How did they get to this point? It is due to the policies and initiatives of The Labor Party (Britain's variant of The Democrat Party).

They have even gone after our Constitution and are attempting to 'soften' the hard, fast rules which have made America the greatest social experiment in freedom that the world has ever known. To be clear: our Constitution is not a "living, breathing document."

If you signed a contract with someone, would you want the courts to interpret your contract as a "living, breathing document?" Hell no! I would want the court to read it exactly as it is and enforce its mandates as written. The same holds true for our national document.

Ultimately is comes down to the fact that elitist, condescending snobs rule the roost within the ranks of the Democratic Party. They believe in their hearts that you are too stupid to run your own lives.

So the next time some Liberal do-gooder envokes "Orwell" in a conversation about RightWing extremists, try to suppress your laughter. You're obviously in the presence of someone with limited mental capacities.

Cop fired over free Starbucks

Well the Old Grey Lady does it again.

With Islamofacists ramping up operations in Afghanistan and trying to get a foothold in the United States, with an avowed America-hating doofus running for president, and hundreds of other pressing National issues, the NYTimes decides to focus its energies on a story of a police officer who is accused of accepting free Starbucks coffee in exchange "for his services."

On one side, employees of a Starbucks in Daytona Beach, Fla., have accused a police officer of offering his services on the condition of “free passion tea and coffee laced with white chocolate mocha syrup,” according to The Daytona Beach News-Journal. On the other, Lt. Major Garvin, a 15-year veteran of the force who challenges “the veracity of the accuser.” It’s the coffee chain that people love to hate versus a cop allegedly trading the public’s trust for its fancy drinks. Is he a hero for refusing to cave to absurdly high prices at Starbucks? Or even more of a rogue for preferring the store in the first place — why not scam a mom-and-pop shop? The possibilities are endlessly ridiculous. His superiors have already decided their part, firing Mr. Garvin after he failed a lie detector test on the accusations. .

Some shops give the police a free drink on the assumption that the officer will stay in the store and drink it. Sometimes having a uniformed officer standing there for 10 minutes will dissuade criminal activities.



Something just doesn't add up on this one. The story says that this Lieutenant visited the Starbucks store upwards of 6 times per tour. But the Starbucks manager claims that this cop said if he didn't get his froo-froo drink he'd be able to affect the response time to the store in the case of an emergency.

Come on! This is a bit of an exaggeration as the Lieutenant doesn't have control over "response times" from the officers on his watch.

On the other hand, it would fit that some pompous ass white shirt could go into a Starbucks and demand free service. It wouldn't take too much of a strain on the imagination to see that one coming.

We all know someone who abuses the "free drink" courtesy at some shops. I've even written about it myself. We had this guy in our district who'd spend upwards of 3 hours on-duty eating soup at a local White Hen. He ate so much of it (three 16 ounce containers) that they were thinking of changing their free-soup courtesy for police officers. Coppers always find a way to ruin a good thing when it comes their way.

Border violence escalating

Well, somewhat south of the border - to be exact. I was watching my local Univision affilitate when they discussed this story (Yes, I speak Spanish fluently.)

The Houston Chronicle reports that running gun battles between rival gang factions are escalating. Gangs are now targeting innocent civilians in their campaigns of terror.

What the article didn't mention that Univision covered is that within the first 10 days of July, 147 people were murdered - 43 of them in Sinaloa alone.

It is precisely this type of mind-set; comfortable with corruption and willing to look the other way when confronted with evil - that is turning our own Hispanic enclaves into violent, crime-ridden cesspools.

This should be a warning to us all that we need to get that border fence erected immediately.

Right now almost 5,000 people are crossing the border daily. What percentage are gang-members, violent criminals or drug dealers? As I've stated before, my friends at NAGIS confirm that almost 95% of their narcotraficantes targets are Mexicans.

Twice convicted of felonies, James Francis Barton Jr. faces charges of violating a federal law barring felons from owning guns after police found seven pistols, three shotguns and five rifles at his home south of Pittsburgh. As a defense, Barton and several other defendants in federal gun cases argue that last month's Supreme Court ruling allows them to keep loaded handguns at home for self-defense. "Felons, such as Barton, have the need and the right to protect themselves and their families by keeping firearms in their home," says David Chontos, Barton's court-appointed lawyer.

Leave it to some slip&fall lawyer to come up with this one...what next? Pedophiles will sue saying that they "need" to have kiddy porn because it's the only thing that keeps them happy?

Gee, how refreshing! A Democrat blaming a "vast Right Wing conspiracy" for the criticisms of his outspoken wife.

Where did I hear this one before ? Hhhhmmmmmm....it's right on the tip of my tongue.

He sat in a church for 20 years and heard rant after rant about how America is to blame for the world's ills, how the government was to blame for creating crack cocaine and implanting it into the black ghettos, and how Black Liberation Theology - a racist philosophy that is NO DIFFERENT from Christian Identity - is the true path to spiritual redemption.

He stopped wearing a flag lapel because he "wanted to show his patriotism in other ways." I'm still waiting to see him display any sort of patriotism.

He stopped putting his hand over his heart because this skinny weasel decided that he wanted to "show his patriotism in other ways" yet again. Could it be that he didn't want to make a pledge of allegiance that he, deep down, doesn't believe in? I'd put money on the latter.

Recently it came to light that Obama won't release his medical records. All he's presented is a one page letter from his doctor saying he's in good health. We can't look at his office documents because Obama says he "threw his senate records out." He won't release his application to the state bar, never released information on his law clients, and he won't release his billing hours with his work for Tony Rezko. Doesn't it bother you that this presidential candidate has no paper trail????

Obama's wife, Michelle, has said, "For the first time I'm proud of my country." If we take what she said at face value, wasn't she proud when we won WWII? When we landed on the moon? When we've done the thousands of charitable deeds around the world whether it's delivering tons of food to Shrilanka or helping tsunami hit asian countries. I guess not. Most Americans were offended by her comment(s) and with very good reason. Listening to Jeremiah Wright must have fit perfectly the already demented world view of these two miscreants.

Illegal alien Voting Block?

National Review has a great article on the tremendous impact of illegal aliens who are being allowed to vote. Allowed to vote, you say? You might be thinking - Illegal immigrants aren't allowed to vote, Rue.

Au contraire!

After a grand-jury investigation of the 1982 Illinois governor’s race resulted in the conviction of aliens for illegally registering and voting, the U.S. Attorney estimated that there were 80,000 non-citizens registered to vote in Chicago.

In 1985, the district director of the Immigration and Naturalization Services testified in the Illinois legislature that 25,000 illegal and 40,000 legal aliens remained registered in Chicago.

The grand jury found that aliens registered so they could “obtain documents identifying them as U.S. citizens” and had used their voter registration cards “to obtain a myriad of benefits, from social security to jobs with the Defense Department.” More recently, Bexar County, Texas, found hundreds of aliens registered to vote, some of whom had voted in a dozen local, state, and federal elections, and Harris County found a Norwegian citizen who had voted in a state legislative race decided by only 33 votes. Similar accounts from other states such as Utah and Arizona demonstrate that this is a widespread phenomena.

ICE refuses to cooperate with election officials in verifying prospective voters. Isn't that nice - your Tax Dollars hard at work.

And you know the old game: The race-baiters and their cohorts, the LibTard politicians who pander to these immigrant groups, accuse everyone who challenges the enforcement of our voting laws of being racist xenophobes who just 'hate hispanic people.'

So the Feds curl up and quit asking, and the deaf, dumb and blind among us either don't care or don't understand the seriousness of this issue.

I personally spoke to an alderman's representative last year who told me that when they were doing walk-arounds in an unnamed neighborhood on the near-north side, that every home was owned by an "undocumented workers".

It is astounding that these law-breakers are hiding in plain sight and our government refuses to do a damn thing about it. Worse yet, our President and President-To-Be are open border scoundrels themselves.

Be Very Afraid

Mark Levin covered this topic in depth on his radio show the other day and I'm borrowing liberally from his discussion on this topic. It is truly frightening and shows just how the Liberal agenda has eroded not just the social fabric on our society but also the underlying financial structure.

Most of you don't know anything about Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and Fannie Mae and, to be honest neither do I.

But just a cursory perusal of the issues shows that, financially, we may be about to plunge into a deep stack of Doo-Doo.

Years ago these entities were created to help homeowners purchase and finance their home purchases. Initially there wasn't a "government backed" aspect to the plans. They were set up by the government but they're publicly traded. Ginnie Mae is a government owned entity and they are backed 100% by government insurance. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are exempt from state/local taxes and they're also exempt from SCC scrutiny.

But it changed when some of our Liberal senators decided that you and I should be on the hook to "back" all 3 of these plans. Congress then authorized an assumptive backing to the plans - kind of like the FDIC (eventhough right now the FDIC has liquidity of about $1.80 per $100.00 in reserves!)

This week the Fannie Mae troika has lost about 40% of their collective value.

That little gimmick by congress now has you and I exposed to $5 Trillion in losses! Consider that our gross domestic product is currently $14 Trillion dollars.
Congress even took these loans off the US Treasury balance sheet so that you and I wouldn't be privvy to knowing the shell game they're playing with our money.

As opposed to GM or Ford, most Americans have never heard of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Yet the insolvency of either mortgage giant would have far more profound consequences for every American taxpayer than the bankruptcy of those car companies. It's time Americans understood the price they could soon pay for the Beltway's confidence game with these high-risk" government-sponsored enterprises." These columns have warned about Fannie and Freddie going back to 2002, and our fate has been to climb a wall of denial and hostility. This week reality began to set in. The duo's share prices tanked nearly 20% on Monday on fears that their capital levels may not be adequate. They rallied on Tuesday as their regulator played cheerleader, but they sank again yesterday to prices in the teens, compared to more than $60 a share last October. Investors are saying that a Bear Stearns-like run on the companies is a real possibility, and they're right.

Shares in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae plunged in frantic trading yesterday in spite of attempts by US regulators to provide reassurance that the two government-sponsored mortgage financiers remained on a solid footing. Shares in Freddie were down 22.03 per cent to $8 and Fannie's were off 13.78 per cent to $13.30 at the close in New York, their lowest levels since 1991. Other participants in the mortgage market, including Lehman Brothers, also suffered steep falls, although the overall stock market climbed. Investors were unnerved by a warning from Bill Poole, former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis, that the chances that a bail-out of Fannie and Freddie might be needed were increasing. Mr Poole said Freddie Mac owed $5.2bn (£2.6bn) more than its assets were worth in the first quarter, making it insolvent under fair value accounting rules. Freddie Mac argues that such a measure does not reflect the economics of the company, which holds mortgages to maturity but has to account for them at today's market prices. Fannie and Freddie account for nearly three-quarters of new US mortgages, and their difficulties add to worries about the US economy.

What can you do? Our politicians have gotten us into this mess but you must call your elected representatives and tell them to not support the $120 Billion bailout for these 3 companies in the sub-prime mortgage market. Fannie and Freddie Mac are on their collective backs already and the $120 Billion will just be funneled through these almost defunct entities.

Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and their Liberal Ilk are touting these entities as virtually 'risk-free' investments to world wide investors. As the WSJ writes, "They're the arsonists posing as firemen while putting more dry tinder around the blaze."

This just shows you that we need to be more vigorous in shrinking our Federal Government's size and scope. The Left (Obama) wants to create a National Healthcare initiative (read that as "socialized medicine"). Social security, medicare, retirement funds are just a few of the programs that our Leftist politicians are lining us up to pay for.

As Mark Levin stated on his July 11th show, "We live in a soft-tyranny right now -socialist in nature. They're stealing us blind and picking our pockets the entire time."

Ike Carothers takes on J-Fed

Ike takes Jody to task for not doing enough to stem the violence at The Taste. He also points out Jody's inexperience and tactical blunders; such as pulling 21 out of 25 district commanders. He rightly points out that J-Fed has never been the police and, therefore, doesn't know about manpower deployment, crowd control and troop morale.

The most pathetic part of the interview was when Ike said,"I don't even know who the commander of the 25th district is. I couldn't tell you."

Sadly the troops in 025 couldn't tell you either. They went from having a solid D/C in Juan Rivera for the last 4 years - a D/C who actually went out on the street and made arrests - to a desk jockey from 014 who couldn't be bothered to meet and greet the guys and gals on his watch. The desk jockey is now acting A/5 Deputy Chief and someone else from 014 is now the D/C.

Parole denied for Crowley's killer

Today was the en banque parole hearing for the offender who murdered Chicago Police Officer Patrick J. Crowley



About 40 Chicago Police Officers attended today's hearing. The parole request was DENIED. The offender, Willie C. Lewis, will be up for another review in 3 years.

Lewis (IDOC#C71971) was convicted of murdering Officer Crowley and was sentenced to 500 years on prison for his crimes.

The facts of the case, which are undisputed by both sides are these: On September 13, 1976 Officer Crowley and two other officers were conducting an undercover drug operation in the 6200 block of South Aberdeen. Lewis had a long rap sheet for violent crimes; PSMV, narcotics, gun violations, robberies and batteries. He'd been layed off from his job in 1974 and, presumably turned to selling narcotics in order to supplement his income.

The officers saw a drug buyer bring a stereo to the back of Lewis's home and engage in a conversation. The buyer turned and left. The officers stopped him and told him to go back to Lewis and take whatever offer that he made for the item (the buyer was attempting to exchange the item for drugs.) When the buyer returned, Lewis opened his burglar bars and knelt down to examine the stereo.

At this point, the officer broke cover, announced their office and approached. The buyer got between Lewis and Crowley and when Lewis and the officer were about 4 feet apart, Lewis pulled out a .44 magnum and shot him once between the eyes.

The maddening aspect of attending these hearings is how much the committee has to hear all about the offender and what he has done with his life. There wasn't a mention of the victim or his family. There wasn't a mention of how his children had to grow up without a father, or how a wife had to cope with 2 small children without a loving husband at her side.

Today's hearing was much the same. Jessie Madison is the pro-prisoner liaison. He goes to the prison and interviews the offenders and gathers as much information as he can. Today he attempted to make the case that Lewis deserves to be paroled because, in Lewis's opinion he committed manslaughter.

In Lewis's twisted view of reality, he acknowledges shooting Officer Crowley but claims that Crowley never announced his office. Lewis further believes that when the buyer returned with the stereo, Lewis believed he was being set up to be robbed - thus justifying the acquisition of a .44 magnum.

It was pathetic that this nauseating excuse for a human being (Lewis) is even allowed to come up with some warped rationale for murdering another person, but that is the state of our justice system. They bend over backwards for the offender, and give cursory attention to the victim.

One more detail that bothered me was that liaison brought up that Crowley was thought of as an "aggressive" officer and had accumulated a number of complaints for his tough policing style. A board member, Mr. Diaz, a former police officer himself had to educate the board as to why aggressive officers get more complaints: they are interacting with more people and, therefore more criminals. When caught, criminals will do whatever it takes to beat their charges - including make false allegations against those officers who arrested him.

Well justice was served today. God bless all the officers who attended today's hearing. Rot in Prison, Willie!

Alderman's father facing deportation

The father of Alderman Ricardo Munoz (22nd), admitted to U.S. District Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer that he knew photos taken at his shop were used for bogus driver's licenses, Social Security cards and resident alien cards.

I'd like to know if the fact that they had Latin King gang-members working security at their facility was introduced at the trial?

I'm actually surprised that this Alderman wasn't able to sweep this under the rug. I'm sure his papi is taking a bullet to keep his son's involvement in the "business" off the radar of the Feds.

In my arrogant opinion, manufacturing and selling false identification is akin to treason in that is a destabilizing act and erodes confidence in our system. I'm not surprised though since in Mexico documents of any kind can be fraudulently created and sold. I heard all kinds of stories about false bills of lading and weights and grades when I worked in the Commodities industry.

This is just another example of how destructive unchecked illegal immigration is.

SunTimes comments on Officer Francis

From one of my email contributors, this shows that there are about a dozen SunTimes readers who have IQs at the high end of the Bell Curve.

I was looking through the reader comments on the Sun-Times web site concerning the murder of Police Officer Francis. I guess I'm not surprised, but I am so dissapointed to see some of the stuff on there bashing P.O. Francis and the police in general. I did not know him personally, but I've been choking back tears all day thinking about how he died and how his family will have to move on. I look at the pictures of my own family on my desk and just think how in a split second, everything can be so different. Please be careful out there. It seems like things are really getting crazy, between the streets being out of control and the uncertainty our own Department/City makes us face. Back to the Sun-Times comments: this one really stood out to me, thank you to whoever it was who made it! "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. RIP PO Francis. To the people of Chicago, my son is CPD, and know this: if your officers had Tasers, if they didn't have to work one-man cars, if they were not worried about losing their jobs every time they tried to help you, most likely Officer Francis would be alive and the offender would not have been shot. You pay the highest taxes in the nation but you have the most undermanned, underequipped police force of any large city. Your media has overplayed the actions of a few bad cops to the point where you hate and despise your own police. Your city is descending into anarchy. Shootings at police officers have skyrocketed and when they shoot back your priests and reverends go to police HQ and protest. Your police have been working without a contract for over a year, and you people think you are going to get the Olympics!!? I'm glad I moved out of your city long ago. It's all downhill for you from here. Officer Francis gave his life for you - try to wake up before it's too late!"

Good news for Gun Owners

More happy news for gun owners, a Dallas court has cleared charges against the homeowner who shot 2 home invaders.

A suburban Houston homeowner was cleared by a grand jury Monday for fatally shooting two men he suspected of burglarizing his neighbor's home. Joe Horn, 62, shot the men in November after he saw them crawling out the windows of a neighbor's house in the Houston suburb of Pasadena, carrying bags of the neighbor's possessions. Mr. Horn, a retired grandfather, called 911 and told the dispatcher he had a shotgun and was going to kill them. The dispatcher pleaded with him not to go outside, but Mr. Horn confronted the men with a 12-gauge shotgun and shot both in the back. "The message we're trying to send today is the criminal-justice system works," Harris County District Attorney Kenneth Magidson said.

The funniest and most poignant aspect to the story is that the two suspected burglars, Hernando Riascos Torres, 38, and Diego Ortiz, 30, were unemployed illegal immigrants from Colombia. Mr. Torres was deported to Colombia in 1999 after a 1994 cocaine-related conviction.

Can you say, "Ha-ha-ha-Ha-ha-ha-Ha-ha-ha-Ha-ha-ha-Ha-ha-ha!"

Now THAT is justice.

Coulter to McCain: Pump This!

Ann Coulter, the hottest hottie on the Right, continues her unabashed assault on the poseur en chef John McCain. This time it's all about the drilling.

John McCain opposed drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge because he polled soccer moms and found out they were against drilling. They thought it sounded too much like going to the dentist. McCain wanted to ensure that he remained beloved by the two pillars of his base: "centrists" and New York Times reporters. Even Sen. Chuck Hagel voted for drilling in ANWR. But John McCain, "our" candidate, voted against it. I guess we're beginning to see the problem of basing a political platform on the passing fancies of "centrists." These are people who have no opinions because they know nothing about national issues. They're the ones who check the "not sure/no opinion" box on polls regarding the legalization of cannibalism.

Good for you Annie! This guy is a disgrace.

Oh and by the way, "F" Obama! As much as I can't stand McCain's "conservative lite" stance, he's infinitely better than that bigoted fraud Obama.

Illegal aliens are throwing in the towel and heading back to Mexico, the Dallas News is reporting.

According to Mexican consulate officials in Dallas, some 400 immigrant families have told them so far this year that they're going back to Mexico and asked for transfer documents to enroll their children in Mexican schools. Enrique Hubbard Urrea, Mexican consul general in Dallas, said it is impossible to track every Mexican who leaves the area. But he said the number asking for transfer documents at the consulate is on the rise. In 2005, the consulate issued 162 such documents; in 2006 it was 199; and last year it was 270. At the current rate, more than twice as many people will leave this year as last, he said. "There is no doubt the trend indicates that the number is growing," Mr. Hubbard said.

We're a long way away from Illegals self-managing their stays and self-deporting. But this was a nice tidbit on the Illegal Immigration front.

Fare thee well, Senator Helms

Senator Jesse Helms has passed away at the age of 86. Helms was a stalwart conservative, back when there was no money in the job. He was a take-no-bullshit straight talker and the libs had a field day whenever he offered his opinion on matters of state, society, culture or history.

"It's just incredible that he would die on July 4, the same day of the Declaration of Independence and the same day that Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died, and he certainly is a patriot in the mold of those great men," said former North Carolina GOP Rep. Bill Cobey, the chairman of The Jesse Helms Center in Wingate, N.C.

One of the funniest moments I remember about Jesse Helms was when he guest-starred on The McLaughlin Group. The moderator asked him about his recent heart-bypass surgery. Doctors had used an artery from a pig to replace the diseased one in Helms's chest. McLaughlin asked the question somewhat tongue-in-cheek.

Helms, without missing a beat and with dread solemnity said,"Yup - everytime I pass a pig farm, I get teared up a little."

RIP Senator Helms. The world shall not see your like again for many years to come. God bless you for taking a stand when everyone else was turning on, tuning in , and dropping out.

A Special Fourth of July

Let's remember that this Fourth of July celebrates the founding of the United States of America. Our founding fathers came here to escape tyranny. They were tired of being enslaved by despot kings and held hostage by rogue church clergy.

When Thomas Jefferson and his collaborators signed the Declaration of Independence, those men were signing their own death warrant. If we hadn't succeeded in routing the British forces from our shores, those men - those patriots - would have been murdered.

This great experiment in unadulterated democracy continues. We still struggle against tyrants but not those that our founding fathers faced.

Our tyrants now where headscarves and murder, butcher and maim in the name of Allah. Our tyrants now live here and teach college students that America is the greatest threat to the world, that our President is a liar and a war criminal. Our tyrants have jobs such as journalists for the New York Times, or have a 30 minute "news" show on MSNBC. Some of our tyrants wear black robes and sit on our own supreme court. There they can ignore the will of The People and install their own warp, twisted social engineering causes and make them into Law.

Yes folks we're still fighting tyranny here in America but it's now coming from the Collective Left. The Left which has been hijacked by Marxists who want to further breakdown the family unit and replace it with the 'all knowing - all powerful' State.

The Left is seductive. They have eloquent spokespeople like Barack Hussein Obama. He sat in the pews at Trinity Church for 20 years and never heard his pastor say anything negative about the United States of America. So why does he refuse to wear an American flag lapel pin? Or hold his hand over his heart when the National Anthem is sung? One wonders whether he even knows the words to the National Anthem. He's certainly not an intelligent man, that much is obvious.

He wants our big, overblown government to get even bigger! He wants more laws passed, more taxes raised and more government programs. Wow! What a change THAT would make!

So this is a very special Fourth of July - now that we've elected someone who is so anti-American, so divisive, so bigoted, a criminal drug user and such an out-of-touch elist; it truly makes me appreciate all the great things that this country stands for and has stood for in the past.

Barack Hussein Obama is used to hearing his pastor say,"God damn America!" His friend, domestic terrorist William Ayres, tried to murder US citizens with his Weathermen cohorts. I do question Barry Obama's patriotism - you'd have to be a fool NOT to!

Well all you unrepentant Liberal goofs who voted for BHO, out of some sick sentiment of white guilt, should be ashamed of yourselves. Your penitance is to go fly the US Flag this weekend and watch 30 minutes of William F. Buckley on youtube!

CPD Officer Murdered

As SCC and the mainstream news reported, Chicago Police Officer Richard Francis was murdered by a black female offender in front of A/3 headquarters last night. Apparently the offender is from Detroit and was here for some god-knows-what nefarious reason.

My thoughts and deepest prayers go out to his friends and family. This is a terrible, senseless loss and one which always tears me up whenever an officer is killed in the line of duty.

This tragic story shows that all officers need to be keenly aware that anytime, anywhere danger can be lurking.

The Dept of Justice keeps track of Law Enforcement officers killed LOD. Here is a list of situations in which POs were killed...all are from 2006.

In the 10-year span of 1997 through 2006, 562 officers were feloniously killed in the line of duty.

* 38 years old—the average age of the officers who died from felonious attacks.
* 11 years—the slain officers’ average length of law enforcement service.
* 45 of the officers killed were male.
* 38 of the victim officers were white; 5 were black; 1 was Asian/Pacific Islander;
and 1 was an American Indian/Alaskan Native.

* 12 officers died in 2006 as a result of felonious attacks during arrest situations.
* 10 officers were fatally assaulted when ambushed.
* 8 officers were killed when responding to disturbance calls (e.g., bar fights,
family quarrels), and 8 officers were killed while conducting traffic pursuits or
stops.

From 1997 to 2006, there were 633 known assailants to law enforcement. I just noticed that of the 633; 355 were White and 260 were Black. It's interesting to note that the FBI appears to be obfuscating the fact that Hispanics commit crimes. Hispanic offender data is being commingled with Whites so that it appears that Whites commit just as much crimes as Blacks. You can view the table here.

Well this is no time for a rant on the leaching political correctness that is endemic to our culture and government. That is for another time.
