Right now one-third of this country do not pay taxes. So who is going to pay the lion-share of these new socialist "income redistribution" boondoggles?
Here's a nice breakdown on who exactly is funding our government. From Andy Swan:
|I’ve heard a lot of “$3500 per person” nonsense lately about this bailout plan. But let’s get one thing straight: Not everyone will be chipping in equally. If the $700 billion plan goes through….The people who earn over $153k/year will chip in 60%, or $420 billion. That’s 5% of the population paying 60% of the solution. The people who earn over $388k will chip in 40%… $280 billion….all by themselves. Yep, 1% of the population putting in for 40% of the solution. The bottom 50% of taxpayers will chip in $21 billion. 3% of the total comes from half the population. It might also be worth mentioning that since the “tax cuts for the rich”, the % of taxes paid by the top 1% has grown from 33% to 40%.|
If you and your spouse earn $153,000 per year, you're going to get soaked by the upcoming Obama administration. A Chicago Police officer, married to a Chicago school teacher - both with 20 years on the job - earn about $148,000 per year.
In that world, Obama considers you one of "the rich." Obama wants the tax burden for those wage earners to double.
And while we're discussing income redistribution, what ever happened to the $152 Billion that was injected into the economy back in May? Nothing!
As this economist correctly points out, "These problems were caused by the government," said Walter E. Williams, an economist at George Mason University. "If you see a building on fire, you don't call the arsonist who caused the fire." Here is a list of 31 economists who signed a petition to get congress to, at least, slow down and examine the bailout proposal.
Our GDP is about $17 Trillion. Now we're going to peel more of your money away and give it out as social programs. Now the governor of California wants $7 billion dollars for their budget crisis. Over the next 12 months we're going to see more and more municipalities crying "poor" and demanding more of your money from Uncle Sam. These cities and counties (Like Chicago and Cook) aren't interested in streamlining their spending excesses and wasteful patronage programs. Oh no! Let's just take more and more from the taxpayers.
You think Obama is going to help reign in government spending? Don't make me laugh! He's devious. He and his idiotic cohort Biden are pathological liars. Obama is a big-spending socialist with an ideology steeped in closeted Marxism.
Just check out the dozens of programs he wants to establish -- all to the tune of $1.238 Trillion of YOUR dollars.
Obama's Energy Plan Will Cost $150 Billion Over 10 Years, Equal To $15 Billion Annually And $60 Billion Over Four Years. Check it out - truly mind-boggling that this no talent asshat is dead even in polls with a decorated war hero.
And on that note, here is my latest bumper sticker idea:
