Obama to pursue criminal charges against Bush

The Democrats never cease to amaze....

Joe Biden stated publicly that Barack Hussein Obama, if elected president, will pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration.

Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden said earlier this week that he and running mate Barack Obama could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration if they are elected in November.

Biden's comments, first reported by ABC news, attracted little notice on a day dominated by the drama surrounding his Republican counterpart, Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

But his statements represent the Democrats' strongest vow so far this year to investigate alleged misdeeds committed during the Bush years.

When asked during a campaign event in Deerfield Beach, Florida, whether he would "pursue the violations that have been made against our Constitution by the present administration", Biden answered in the affirmative.

"We will not be stopped from pursuing any criminal offence that's occurred," he continued, going on to praise congressional committees for the deliberate pace of their inquiries into alleged Bush administration misdeeds.

Members of Congress are "doing the right thing, they're not making false accusations about anything … they're collecting data, subpoenaing records, they're building a file", Biden said.

This is typical of Liberal Democrats. Is this what the country needs? More Stalinist show-trials?

Give me a fucking break. The only light at the end of the tunnel is that Biden/Obama continue to shoot themselves in the foot. As of this posting, Rasmussen is showing McCain and Obama almost dead tied. 8 weeks to go.

Here's my entry for a new LogObama:

The "Evil Rue" over at my blog was a nice touch my man. To ensure that my answer doesn't get lost in the wash I'm reposting it here:

Rue it shouldn't be difficult to understand. McCain represents more of Team Bush, the very worst administration in the history of the republic, and one that has brought unprecedented misery not only to the world at large but to the imperial heartland itself. Even amongst elites this is the general consensus, thus the overwhelming support for Obama from the nation's power centers (i.e Wall Street, Big Pharma, the insurance giants, etc).

As far as Biden's threats to hold Team Bush accountable I'd suggest you not take them too seriously. Let's put it this way, the Democrats have had the political capital to impeach this motherfucker since they captured both houses of Congress following the mid-term elections of November 2006 amid a wave of ant-war fervor from the public, and they didn't do jack. In fact, they steadfastly REFUSED to act (recall Nancy Pelosi's immediate declaration that impeachment would be "off the table" after her historic promotion to House Speaker). You see Rue, the Democrats cannot indict Team Bush for crimes in which they themselves share responsibility. In fact, as Chris Floyd details here, Obama has all but co-opted the Team Bush agenda on the greatest war crime of the 21st century.

Rue, you should be sophisticated enough by now to recognize pandering bullshit when you see it. The crimes of Team Bush were a thoroughly bipartisan affair from start to finish. Who gave Bush political cover for the illegal warrantless wiretapping of American citizens prior to the 2004 elections and them helped draft legislation that would provide retroactive immunity to the telecom giants that enabled this crime? That’s right, the Democrats. Let’s get real.

"Anti-war" fervor I meant of course.

Oh well, since you brought the matter up we may as well explore it, so let’s...start... here...

PS: Wouldn't it be cool if we had a MSM that actually did its job? I wonder how many Iraqis and American cannon-fodder would still be alive today if that were so. Do you?

"Obama to pursue criminal criminal charges against Bush.

He's a bit late, Dennis Kininich has tried for months. Where was Obama then? Where was Obama when Kininich tried to introduce an impeachment article?

Oh yea. I'll be willing to sign the complaints. I won't even put in a slip for the court date!

Hey Rue-y!

When the revolution comes about, and the re-education camps spring up, don't worry. I'll make sure you get a nice clean room all to yourself.
