Dear Tyrant

Ignorance is the curse of God; knowledge is the wing wherewith we fly to heaven.
~~William Shakespeare

Dear Saddam,

This letter will reach you, I fear, too late as the Crimes Against Humanity tribunal ruled that you are to die by hanging sometime before Saturday. As of this writing, it is being reported that you are dead. Some reports stated that you looked scared, others say you were physically restrained after you panicked and tried to run from the gallows.

It is my largest regret that no one truly understands the man that stood beneath the Bowler. The one seen firing a Winchester rifle into the air before thousands of adulating supporters.

Men like you are rare. You ruled your kingdom with an iron-fisted domination that ensured your enemies were fearful and your friends were safe. You could do whatever you wanted ; if you saw a beautiful woman on the street, why not have your security detail sweep her up into the limousine and take her back to your palace for a little "afternoon delight"? You could do that. Indeed you did. Those beautiful rape rooms that you constructed ensured that you and your sons could enjoy the fruits of womanhood whenever you wanted. And what woman or prepubescent teenage girl wouldn't jump at the chance of enjoying your hot, sexy dictator antics? You could torture, inflict pain, cut off limbs - anything you wanted - with just a guttural grunt and a gesture of your hand. The absolute power is liberating, isn't it? It can be intoxicating. Knowing that any whim or urge can be satisfied at a moments notice, with no repercussions, is heady. One of the many perks about being Absolute Supreme Leader is that you don't have to worry about petty niceties - you can speak over subordinates at meetings, you can scream at them, throw things at them, hit them in the face....hell, you can even take them outside and shoot them in the kneecap. How many of us are simply jealous that we don't have that kind of power? I'm sure the number is in the millions. Like the millions of power-hungry traitors that you eliminated.

You stand in good company. You are literally in the pantheon of world tyrants. And I'm not just talking about the Big Ones - Hitler, Stalin, Ceausescu - oh, no. With the likes of Omar al-Bashir of Sudan, Kim Jong-il of North Korea, Than Shwe of Burma (now Myanmar), Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan, Hu Jintao of China, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Saparmurat Niyazov of Turkmenistan, and Teodoro Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea as your compatriots in terror, you're a shining star emblazoned in the firmament of narcissus. You are, without a doubt, a stalwart example of pure unadulterated Manhood. Women adore you, men want to be like you.

Sure your tactics were brutal - they had to be. At an early age you took the Roman emperor's motto of Oderint Dum Metuant to heart. And indeed they did hate you, and fear you. But you took it all in stride. Just like the Caesars of Rome, you brought in your own version of the Praetorian Guard (You wanted to be original so you called your Republican guards - how cheeky!). It's not easy to build up an empire. It takes energy, a thirst for power, brokering deals, making pacts, killing people, torturing people, and the hyper-vigilance of a mongoose on caffeine. You knew that the only way to build a stable empire was on the skulls and bones of your defeated enemies. Only by instilling fear would you truly be respected. You learned your Uncle Joe lore very well. Stalin would have been proud of you since you emulated everyone of his political tactics. Freedom for you, oppression for everyone else. Could it have been any other way? Definitely not. In your narcissistic world, there was only you. You were your own sun, moon and stars.

Like Lucifer, you brought light to the world of darkness. We cannot know what good is if we don't see evil. Good and evil are just two sides of the same coin. Who is righteous enough to judge you? Who can possibly have the moral authority to condemn such a one as you? You were right when you said, "No one but Allah." People always cast Lucifer as a bad guy. Most don't understand that such a one was necessary to our development. He was even central to creating mankind. Lucifer "mucked up" the whole works in order that we could have free-will. Otherwise we'd all be living in some utopian garden, never knowing the bitter side of life. And what fun would that be?

You were evil but a necessary one. Who's going to miss all those Kurds that you killed? Almost no one. They were just a bunch of goat-herders, anyway. Was there an Einstein among them? Hardly. Maybe another Marconi or James Joyce? I know, I know...don't make you laugh, right? You, of all people, knew that they were one step above mole rats on the evolutionary ladder.

And that was a minor bump on the highway to success. There were golden palaces to build, executions to videotape and parades to organize. Remember pushing all those dissidents off that three story building? Watching them up there; crying, wetting their pants, their wives and children at the bottom looking up at their loved ones about to fall to their deaths - it was priceless! I'll bet you still get a little chubby in your trousers just thinking about that. Of course who can forget the public whippings. Your chief torturer knew his trade inside and out. Remember how he would continually whip the infidel on the same side, on the exact same spot? It ensured that the infidel pig would feel maximum pain. Man you couldn't BUY entertainment like that!!!

People will remember you for all the atrocities that you committed but I, for one, will remember you for being a "stabilizing" force in your region of the world. They can criticize and deride your actions and policies but let's not judge you too hastily. Who can judge a man who hasn't walked a mile in that man's moccassins? Until your critics can say they have 10 golden palaces, $700 million in various world banks, and millions murdered for their own selfish political gain - let them keep their mouths shut!

We all know that George Bush and his cronies exaggerated many of your "crimes" in order to remove you from power so that they could get their greedy little hands on Iraqi oil reserves. Bush will be executed for his "war crimes" very soon, I can tell you that. I've seen the banter in the internet blogs. Centers of deep political thought and commentary like The Huffington Post and the DailyKOS all say that Bush is a war criminal; that he's even worse than you! Well Bush and Cheney's greed will be their undoing. There are countless lies and distortions circulating around the world. I found this one over at the Times of London website. What offal !

Saddam Hussein was a tyrant whose actions brought down unimaginable catastrophe on Iraq and its peoples. From an early age, he had enjoyed inflicted suffering on those around him and, when he came to positions of political power, those whom he could not force or corrupt into submitting to his will, he maimed, murdered or made to flee. He started two major international wars - one against Iran, the second as a result of aggression against Kuwait - which cost an estimated one million lives. He instituted genocidal campaigns against the Kurds in the north of Iraq and the Marsh Arabs in the south. Ruling through the Sunni minority of which he was a member, he ignored the claims of the country's majority Shia population.
The third war in the region - which brought him and his regime down - was not directly begun by him, but by apparent American - and British - fears of a perceived threat his arsenal of weapons posed to international security. This time Saddam misjudged the event - and certainly the American mood.
~ Times of London Obit

Well, that's all for now Chief of the Iraqi Mujahid Armed Forces and Supreme Leader and Commander Saddam Hussein al-Majid al-Tikriti. You are now a martyr and since you uttered the word "jihad" at your public execution, Alllah (may His Name be praised and exhalted for All time) will see fit to provide you with 72 virgins, to do with what you will. That doesn't seem like much since a Man like you could go through 72 virgins in about 5 days. But maybe Allah will sweeten the deal a little and take your title and position while on earth in to account.

Ever yours,
Rue St. Michel

Another Warren Commission lackey, dead at 93

Former president Gerald R. Ford is dead.

Ford_to_City

Although he'll be remembered as the guy who pardoned Richard M. Nixon, I'll always remember him as the person, while on the 3 man Warren Commission team sent to Dallas, who sat on his hands and refused to get Jack Ruby out of town where Ruby could be debriefed. Ruby was the keystone to that entire operation. He was the juncture where all the points of JFK's assassination came together. Ford, just like the rest of the Warren Commission, was seemingly uninterested in digging beneath the surface.

Ruby practically begged to be taken somewhere "safe" where he could shed light on the assassination. Ruby murdered Oswald in order to keep Oswald's mouth shut.

Years later it was revealed that Ford had fed top-secret Warren Commission documents over to the FBI in order to help bolster the FBI's view that Oswald was the sole assassin (see Plausible Denial by Mark Lane, pg. 43)

Ford was also eventually forced to admit that the Warren Report was fictionalized.

Back in that era, Politics was the operative word. Earl Warren, a congressman from California, had helped JFK on an election and was promised a spot on the Supreme Court as "payment" for his help. When the chief justice position opened up unexpectedly, Warren pushed JFK and Bobby Kennedy into appointing him as chief justice. Ford kept his mouth shut, played ball and joined in with his fellow commission members in making up the bullshit fantasy that Oswald was the lone gunman. For towing the "company" line and for being a good boy he was awarded the Vice-presidency. He eventually became president after Nixon was impeached.

So at a time when the truth about one of our nation's worst political events desperately needed to be uncovered, Ford and the others just laid over and did nothing to solve the crime that had occured.

And his most famous quip? -- "Our long national nightmare is now over." That was, of course, before Jimmy Carter was president. THAT was a 4 year nightmare that we're still paying the price for.

Police officer deaths up over 2005

AP reports that traffic related police officer deaths are up 16% for 2006. The report also notes that officers killed by gunfire are down 9%.

Police officers who can ticket you for not wearing a seat belt sometimes ditch their own restraints, a factor that may have contributed to a double-digit jump this year in law enforcement traffic fatalities, according to a new study.

According to preliminary statistics compiled through Monday, traffic fatalities claimed the lives of 73 of the 151 officers killed in 2006. This compares to 63 officers killed in traffic accidents in 2005, the groups said.

We've all worked with someone who doesn't wear his seatbelt. I always wear mine.

It always annoyed me when my partner wouldn't put his belt on. I would have to explain it to him that during a car accident in which we were hit from the side, the unbelted passenger would become a projectile.

A car accident, even at low speeds, could ruin your life. Why take the chance? You're more likely to be in a car accident as a police officer, than in a shooting.

If you're haphazard about wearing your belt, make it a New Years resolution to do so. There is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing your fellow officers being pulled out of a car wreck. If they were wearing their seatbelts, you can bet that they'll just be checked out at the hospital and released.

Stay safe!

Merry Christmas

To my devoted readers; my hard-working fellow Officers, and my dearest friends - I want to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Prosperous New Year for you and your families.

Like most of you, we'll be busy with family tonight at family get-togethers. So no blogging. For those of you who care, I'll be drinking two Cabernet Sauvignons tonight. One from Cellar8 (2003 California), and the other, an old standby in the Rue St. Michel cave: Valley of the Moon (2003 California).

It'll be followed up with an Acid blondie cigar about 10 O'clock.

Merry Christmas!

Dems have a lock on "Culture of Corruption"

Judicial Watch just announced its list of Washington's "Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians" for 2006.

Interesting to note, of these allegedly 16 Corrupt Officials listed, 5 out of 6 REPUBLICANS listed are no longer in office and are not in a position of power.

Of the DEMOCRATS listed, 8 out of 9 are still in Elected Office and are still in positions of power.

That scores the GOP with an 88.9% Removal rate. The Democrats have a dismal 11.1% Removal rate. Also suspect - Jack Abramoff, a Democrat, was not even named as one in the list.

Here is the list:

1. Jack Abramoff, Former Lobbyist – Abramoff is at the center of a massive public corruption investigation by the Department of Justice that, in the end, could involve as many as a dozen members of Congress. Abramoff pleaded guilty to conspiracy, fraud and a host of other charges on January 3, 2006, and was sent to prison in November to serve a five-year, 10-month sentence for defrauding banks of $23 million in Florida in 2000.

2. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) – In January 2006, Hillary Clinton's fundraising operation was fined $35,000 by the Federal Election Commission for failing to accurately report more than $700,000 in contributions to Clinton's Senate 2000 campaign. New information also surfaced in 2006 raising more questions about Hillary and her brother Anthony Rodham's connection to the Clinton Pardongate scandal, where presidential pardons were allegedly traded in exchange for cash and other favors.

3. Former Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-CA) – In November 2005, Cunningham pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to commit bribery, mail fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion. He was sentenced to 8 years, four months in prison and ordered to pay $1.8 million in restitution in March 2006.

4. Former Rep. Tom Delay (R-TX) – Tom DeLay, who was forced to step down from his position as House Majority Leader and then resign from Congress, decided in 2006 not to run for re-election. Congressman DeLay has been embroiled in a series of scandals from bribery to influence peddling, and was indicted twice by grand juries in Texas.

5. Former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) – Foley left the House in disgrace after news broke that he had been sending predatory homosexual emails to a House page. A recent House Ethics Committee report indicated that Republican leaders knew about Foley's dangerous behavior, but failed to take action. Democrats, meanwhile, shopped the story to the press to influence the elections. Outrageously, the Committee recommended no punishment for those involved.

6. Rep. Denny Hastert (R-IL) – In addition to mishandling the Foley scandal, outgoing House Speaker Dennis Hastert allowed House ethics process to ground to a halt on his watch. Gary Condit, Cynthia McKinney, William Jefferson, John Conyers, Tom Delay, Duke Cunningham, Jim McDermott, Patrick Kennedy are examples of alleged wrongdoers who faced little-to-no ethics enforcement in the House.

7. Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) – Hastings is one of only six federal judges to be removed from office through impeachment and has accumulated staggering liabilities ranging from $2,130,006 to $7,350,000. Hastings was "next in line" for Chairmanship of the House Select Committee on Intelligence until a wave of protest forced Nancy Pelosi to select another candidate. Nonetheless, Hastings is expected to continue to serve on the Intelligence Committee.

8. Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) – Jefferson is alleged to have accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes to help broker high-tech business deals in Nigeria. According to press reports, he was also caught on tape discussing the deals, while an FBI search of his home uncovered $90,000 in cash stuffed in his freezer.

9. Former Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH) – Ohio Republican Congressman Bob Ney resigned in early November 2006, three weeks after pleading guilty for accepting bribes from an Indian casino in exchange for legislative favors. Ney was the first congressman to be convicted of a crime in the web of scandals involving former lobbyist Jack Abramoff and is expected to serve a jail sentence.

10. Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) – Senator Reid came under fire in 2006 for failing to properly report to Congress a $700,000 land deal. Reid also accepted more than $30,000 of Abramoff-tainted money allegedly in return for his ''cooperation'' in matters related Nevada Indian gaming.

Dishonorable Mentions include:
1. Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) –
According to complaints released by the House Ethics Committee recently, aides to Representative John Conyers (D-MI) alleged their former boss repeatedly violated House ethics rules, forcing them to serve as his personal servants, valets, and as campaign staff while on the government payroll.

2. Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) – In May 2006, Kennedy crashed his car into a Capitol Hill barricade at nearly 3 a.m. in the morning. Kennedy blamed the incident on a reaction to prescription pills, but officers at the scene said he smelled of alcohol. Nonetheless, they escorted him home rather than arresting him.

3. Former Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) –
McKinney assaulted a Capitol Hill police officer in April after refusing to go through a metal detector. While McKinney was never forced to answer in a court of law for her behavior, she lost her bid for re-election in 2006.

4. Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) – Iraq war critic John Murtha was incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's first choice for House Majority Leader despite the ethical skeletons in his closet. Murtha is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1980 "Abscam" scandal, which included the arrest and convictions of a senator and six congressmen. Murtha, whose current ethics continue to be questioned, lost his bid for Majority Leader to Maryland Democrat Steny Hoyer.

5. Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) – News reports surfaced in 2006 that Illinois Senator Barak Obama entered into an unusual land deal with a now-indicted political fundraiser, Tony Rezko. The complicated real estate transaction occurred when it was widely known that Rezko was under federal investigation in a political corruption scandal.

6. David Safavian Former Bush Admin Official - Safavian, the former White House Chief of Procurement and former Chief of Staff for the General Services Administration, was indicted on September 19, 2006 on five counts of lying about his dealings with former lobbyist Jack Abramoff and obstructing a Senate investigation of his dealings. Safavian resigned from his White House position three days prior to his arrest.
"This list shows public corruption is endemic to our nation's capital and that the anti-corruption work of Judicial Watch is needed more than ever," stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "The list could be much longer, as there are far too many politicians who abuse the public trust and place themselves above the law."

Fat, drunk and lesbian is no way to go through life

Rosie O'donnell is finally getting a dose of her own medicine. After her recent criticisms of Donald Trump resulted in a verbal "bitch-slap" from The Donald, the "Queen of Nice" is being shown as anything but.

She said Trump's news conference with Conner, whose title was in jeopardy because of underage drinking, had annoyed her "on a multitude of levels" and that the twice-divorced Donald had no right to be a "moral compass" for the beauty queen.
"He inherited a lot of money," she said. "Wait a minute, and he's been bankrupt so many times where he didn't have to pay. ... I just think that this man is sort of like one of those, you know, snake oil salesmen in 'Little House on the Prairie.'"

~ Rosie O'donnell (formerly the 'Queen of Nice')

It's about time that someone stood up to this big-mouthed, liberal, know-nothing, gun-grabbing Hag. She is a slob. She is a loser and she deserves everything that's coming her way because she is absolutely uninformed about anything but her faded, homosexual agenda.

During the last September 11th rememberances, she made the statement that "radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America." Nobody ever calls her on her outrageous statements. Someone should have asked her how many "radical Christians" have murdered someone in the name of Jesus in the last 100 years? Answer: Zero. I'm still waiting to hear from her exactly how "radical Christianity" is more threatening to anyone, anywhere.

Most people know that she is one of the naive throng of Liberals who think that Guns Cause Crime and, if we just "got rid of all the guns" everything would be wonderful and we could sing songs together while holding hands and life would be happy and joyful and the birds would sing again and there would be no crime and ... blah....blah...blah.....

If you read the transcript of the Tom Selleck/Rosie interview, you can't help but understand that she is pitifully uneducated on what the real basis of crime is. She doesn't get it that registering handguns only helps if the person who registered the weapon actually committed the crime. She also doesn't understand that banning guns only helps the criminals - it disempowers the victims and increases crime. She cites a statistic that 500 children per year are killed with guns. That number is false. According to the the US Govt., the second leading cause of death of kids 5 and under are swimming pools (the number one cause are car accidents).

I'm happy to see that Trump is telling her like it is and not conforming to the nauseating PC fest that usually pervades the media.

I hope that the next time Trump comments publicly on her he looks directly into the camera and says,"Rosie .... Go fuck yourself."

Another Black Politician Victimized!

[hat tip: Michelle Malkin]

Marion Barry was arrested again. Story here.
He was stopped and arrested for driving on a suspended license. Of course, he's blaming the US Park Police of racial profiling and the DMV in D.C. of making a "clerical error" in suspending his license.

Uh, note to Mayor Barry: When you're arrested for DUI, they suspend your drivers license. What a complete ass this guy is. What I thought much more interesting was the list of articles on NBC4's website related to Marion Barry.

* November 14, 2006: Barry Pleads Not Guilty To DUI
* September 11, 2006: Marion Barry Detained By Police
* August 7, 2006: Barry Facing More Legal Woes
* May 12, 2006: Police: Former Mayor Fails Field Sobriety Test
* March 9, 2006: Marion Barry Sentenced On Tax Charges
* February 27, 2006: Barry Shows Off Gasifier Machine
* February 8, 2006: Federal Judge Postpones Barry Sentencing
* February 7, 2006: Marion Barry Heads Back To Court
* January 11, 2006: Marion Barry Fails Drug Test
* January 3, 2006: Marion Barry Robbed At Gunpoint
* November 11, 2005: Gasification Machine Removed From Anacostia Parking Lot
* November 10, 2005: Energy Machine Demonstration Held Without Fireworks
* November 10, 2005: D.C. Leaders Almost Go Toe-To-Toe
* October 28, 2005: Marion Barry Pleads Guilty To Tax Charges
* October 5, 2005: Mayor Offers Words Of Support For Barry
* October 4, 2005: Barry To Plead Guilty For Failing To File Tax Returns

Just another politician who can't take responsibility for his actions and, true to form, blames everyone and everything else for his miserable existence.

Here are some noteworthy Marion Barry-isms that he's spouted to the press over the years:
* "If you take out the killings, Washington actually has a very very low crime rate."
* "First, it was not a strip bar, it was an erotic club. And second, what can I say? I'm a night owl."
* "The brave men who died in Vietnam, more than 100% of which were black, were the ultimate sacrifice."
* "I am a great mayor; I am an upstanding Christian man; I am an intelligent man; I am a deeply educated man; I am a humble man."

You're a drug addicted libertine who has no business being in a leadership role.

Bending over for Illegals - Ignoring our own

This just in from the Rue Hot Desk: I couldn't resist posting this email.
I changed the number of illegals from "12 million" - which is extremely conservative - to 20 million. The 20 figure is generally considered more accurate.

medicare part D

5 million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan------they are old and confused. We are NOT going to grant them an extension.

However, 20 million illegal aliens are in our country and we are going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, have our teachers take 300 hours of ESL(English as a Second Language)
training at our expense, etc.

WE MUST REALLY DISLIKE OUR OLD PEOPLE......
OR WE MUST REALLY LOVE TACOS!!!

Don't forget to pay your taxes......20 million illegal aliens are depending on you!

Don't forget to tell your congressman how angry this makes you....oh what! That's right! They don't care....I keep forgetting that...

12 Days of Christmas

Remember how fresh and naive you were in 5th grade? Well thanks to Six Meat Buffet, you can revisit those halcyon days of yore - and - act just like a Dhimmicrat defeatist by playing the new Liberal Stratego. Makes a great gift for all your unhinged, Moonbat friends....

Well, we’ve got the new Stratego for Democrats - fight the War on Terror in the Dim-O-Crack tradition of undercutting, faux “supporting the troops” and a turncoat mainstream press! It worked in Vietnam, it can work in the War on Terror!

Appease, appease, blame your own troops, seek to understand your enemy, pull out, redeploy and self-destruct! It's so much fun!

Christmas greetings to the ACLU

Can you think of a more insidious and ruthless organization than the ACLU? Al-qaida comes to mind but they have AK-47s.

What the lickspittle totalitarian busybodies over at the ACLU are doing is nothing less than tear and rend the very fabric of our society. They'd like nothing better than to emasculate us into a "brave new world" - one in which religion and family have been exorcised and obliterated.

In the ensuing vacuum, they'd make sure that The State stepped in to take care of our every need. If Big Brother ever had a Legal Death Squad, it's the American Civill Liberties Union.

Since the ACLU's main mission is to blindly eliminate every Christian symbol and artifice from our everyday life, I think it would be an excellent idea to send them a Christmas card this year.

Here's their address:

ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York, NY 10004

Other sites are suggesting that you don't be rude or offensive but, I'd never censor you. Let loose! Express yourself! Tell them exactly how you feel (they won't read it anyway but it will sure make you feel good!).

And I hope someone like Joe Jackson gets an itchy trigger finger and goes down to personally deliver his Christmas card.

How Stupid is this?

How idiotic does this guy look? More lunacy from the followers of the Religion of Peace.

muslim photo op

Can you imagine if Muslim women are allowed to have their Identification photos taken while wearing the hajib, and walking around completely covered? Sounds like one big security risk to me.....

Romney gives cops a boost in immigration fight

Governor Mitt Romney signed a deal with the INS (ICE) which gives Massachusetts State Troopers training in arresting and deporting illegal aliens without a warrant.

Sadly it is being reported that the deal with be rescinded by incoming governor Deval Patrick.

With ICE sweeps netting almost 1,300 suspected illegals in North Dakota, Utah, Colorado, Minnesota and Iowa, it seems that Bush & Company are attempting to soften us up for Bush's big "Amnesty Initiative" (ie. No Illegal Left Behind) that he's likely to push through congress when the legislators reconvene in January of 2007.

It's being reported that a suburban police department arrested an illegal alien this week for identity theft after the victim made a report that his social security number had been used by the offender over a two year period. The victim discovered the problem when he was notified by the IRS that he owed $58,000 in back taxes.

The offender is being charged with a felony. It's about time that arrests are made in cases like this. Anyone who uses a false social security number should be arrested, charged and deported (if they're illegal).

It is heartening to see that illegals are finally getting the notoriety that they so richly deserve.

Obama's Ears are Off Limits

Poor, empty-skirt, Barack Obama .... he just can't get the RightWing intellectuals to understand him and his vapidly non-existent political platforms. In fact, the one thing he's being vocal about is ... of all things ... his ears.

Yes - poor BO was teased incessantly about his large, flappy ears by fellow school children.

obama_ears

The traumatic experiences shaped his early youth and pushed him into politics. The only arena in which his large, winglike appendages could be put to good use.

From El mahaRushBo's website:

OBAMA (off mic): You talked about my ears, and I just want to put you on notice: I'm very sensitive about -- What I told them was, ''I was teased relentlessly when I was a kid about my big ears.'"
DOWD (purring): We're trying to toughen you up.

Poor baby -- but even Achilles had his heel.

A somber Pearl Harbor rememberance

(I travelled to the Pearl Harbor memorial a few years ago. I had to suffer the indignity of being amongst a throng of Japanese while we cruised past the memorial. I wrote this afterwards. A family member of mine went to the memorial a few years later and read this outloud on the observation deck above the USS Arizona.)

USS_Arizona_MemorialPearl

Reply to Toge Sankichi's poem The Shadow (1945)

The boat carries us as it skips across the waves, heading toward
The memorial.

Japanese crowd me, jabbing with their elbows and cameras
Oblivious to the pain.

The ferry transports us to the wheat that is now chaff. I wear black. They wear Red, yellow and happy colors.

The metallic voice is sometimes drowned out by the wind. The breezes
Billowing the 3 flags.

The voice should be a dirge-it is anything but sorrowful. I see sorrow in the Faces of the Americans.

The small ship speaks in different tongues-English, Japanese and French.
…They can speak no longer.

The water sparkles as we speed toward our destination; the land floating by
Our left.

Water is not the proper place for them; the island cries for their flesh, as a mother calls for her children.

I look around as the chattering continues, we are the minority. Smiling, beaming oriental faces.

Click! Snap! They gesture loudly at the white monolith. The box squeals more
Japanese-

"Our hero fighters, claiming first blood against the Imperialistic American swine, sunk their lances deep.

We struck a blow against the round-eye Pacific fleet" - glory, all too
Fleeting.

I fight for a place at the rail. I must be invisible to them. Ghostly apparitions
Never to rise.

I was not there during the Big One. Only the grainy images seen in D-day films Of fallen Dunkirk and bloody beaches.

The white structure beckons all to look; to honor; to meditate on War, on
Futility.

They gawk and chatter like monkeys. Pointing and laughing. Their large teeth
Bared to the sky.

Proud, hawkish and righteous, they. Bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki thus, Leaving shadows.

The murky blue-green water is darkened with a shadow-the remnants of small
Men with small minds.

Who wreaked havoc throughout Asia-murdering, raping and looting. Victims whose voices are sometimes heard.

Tora-tora-tora! This Torii is one they do not recognize. Not a burial shrine but a
Marker for victory.

A sign in Japanese says "Memorial for those who gave their lives on the
Arizona"-

No effect. Their tiny chests swell with pride though mine too, but for a different
Ideal.

The Zeros that day dropped 500's and 1,000's and created Hell. Fire, blast and Heat cremated many. Smoke slowly stifling the majority.

Maybe it's better to be vaporized? A memory of your outline on a red brick wall.
Honored.

"ditat Deus "-does He? Buddhists know different-that we are all gods but this,
Disgrace.

"A plague upon your epileptic visage! Smile you my speeches, as I were a
Fool?"

A submarine breeches the surface and 9 lose their lives, while fishing. We'll
Probably erect a memorial to them now.

Somehow that bothers me, though I know not why. Maybe it's because of the
Laughter.

Maybe it's because of knowing history. Maybe it's the squawking box; it's because actions speak as words.

When I look down in the water, that was no accident. The bombs didn't fall
By mistake.

And not mollified, all I see are samurai without honor.

(May we all learn something to make this world a better place.)

Big Brother gives us a collective Wedgie

I heard this story on Rush today and couldn't believe my ears. Apparently the Federal government discreetly disclosed to the Federal Register a few months ago that they've been actively tracking every traveler in the US and assigning "Risk Assessment" values on each "target" (ie. You.)

Without their knowledge, millions of Americans and foreigners crossing US borders in the past four years have been assigned scores generated by US government computers rating the risk that the travellers are terrorists or criminals.
The travellers are not allowed to see or directly challenge these risk assessments, which the government intends to keep on file for 40 years.
The government calls the system critical to national security following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Some privacy advocates call it one of the most intrusive and risky schemes yet mounted in the name of anti-terrorism efforts.

I'm not a libertarian : I certainly prefer order over chaos. I don't mind paying my taxes and putting up with some small inconveniences if those inconveniences enhance my safety. I also don't believe the nonsense of the New World Order, Illuminati, Skull & Bones, Freemasons-are-taking-over-the-world sect. But now this program will monitor email and cellular phone call information and dossiers will be kept on each and every man, woman and child.

The wonderful, all-knowing Federal government took away the ability of our Tac and Gang teams in the 1980's to keep "books" on all the gangbangers that they were tracking ... how come that is wrong and this new program is right? (Sidenote: I wish to God that some day they officially categorize gangmembers as Terrorists ... that would open up a whole new horizon of opportunities in fighting these jagoff gang members.)

I want to know when this new program will begin to track and deport illegal aliens. Let's throw some of the program's resources in that direction. We're already committed to spending upwards of $5 billion on just the fence! Let's put some money into shipping back the illegals who are sapping our economy.

Here's the story, here's the link over at "El MahaRushBo's site.

How to think like a liberal

UPDATE: The link to the LibTard's article is fixed. Thanks SCC! Since there is about 5 inches of snow on the ground, with a sheer layer of underlying ice, don't drive anywhere until the salt trucks make it down your street. Stay warm and hydrate with lots of coffee today!

SCC wrote about this over the summer but I think it is time to readdress the issue.

It is one of the best and, most ridiculous, examples of LibTard behavior that I've ever seen. Here's the link.

I pulled up to the stop light the other night. It was a crisp summer night. I rubbed the side of my head. My finger rested in a small dent and my mind went back to a night many years ago.
I had pulled up to the same stop light and three boys, ages 10 or 11, called to me through the open windows. "Please, we need a ride. We don't know what to do. Our home is just a mile or two down the road."
I was in Oak Park. Just a mile or two down the road was Chicago's Austin neighborhood-not a safe place to be at 11 p.m. on a Friday.
But I looked at the boys-they looked much like my son when he wanted something, with those beautiful, big pleading eyes. What were they doing out so late? Where were the people in their lives who cared?
I invited them into the van, drove on and began chatting. "Tell me your names, boys. How old are you?"
Slowly, I coaxed their stories out. I was excited to hear about the books they liked, the teachers they didn't. I barely noticed where the car was heading.
"Boys, where are your folks? Where are we going?"
My questions were ignored. Red flags went up. But I hoped I was wrong. We arrived at the second address they gave me and the boys got out.
One boy stood near my door. He had a deep scar over his eye running down the side of his face and etched into his left temple. I stroked his close-cropped hair. "Boys, there has to be some adult somewhere where I can take you. We have to find someone who cares and I need to take you there. I have to go home to my boys."
The boy with the scar closed his eyes and leaned into my strokes. At this point, three other boys appeared. Then I knew it was too late. Both the car doors were open and one of the boys leaned into the driver's side. I had already locked my purse into my seat belt-something I do naturally when I get into the car. The boy tried to unlock the seat belt. I looked at him. "Don't do this boys. I know you're good people."
One of the boys looked at the third one in the car. "Don't do her," he said. "She was nice to us. Let her go."
The little boy with the scar reached in and punched the side of my head. It wasn't a hard punch. He looked at me and he looked confused. But with the second punch he forgot sentiment-he threw three more punches at my face. Another boy tried to grab the keys. "Get her car," another boy said. I had one thought: I'm going to die if I stay here.

Her first mistake was calling them "boys" - that sounds so innocent, so playful and, given her surroundings, so idiotic. It's just a shame that there was an opportunity for these poor "boys" from Austin to remove one more LibTard from the planet.

Well when the Libs aren't out endangering their own lives with their naivete, they're enacting laws that put us all at risk.
