Black Panthers are painters

There is a price to pay for NOT having cable or satellite television in your home. I have neither, thus I'm at the beck and whim of the local television affiliates.

There are some stellar examples of bad tv on nowadays. The Mary Tyler Moore show, Good Times, Sanford & Son, and King of Queens were bad enough during prime time but to rehash them is an injustice. I had the misfortune of landing on the Tavis Smiley show. You'd think that that was bad enough. This guy has an agenda that is about as hidden as a missile silo in a corn field.

Tonight's guest was an eloquent professor from the State University of New York at Stonybrook. He wrote a book about black activism in the 1960's. So far, so good. My jaw dropped when he made this comment about the Black Panthers: "So when you have somebody like Stokely Carmichael saying hell, no, we won’t go. And remember, the Panthers are like surrealist painters, actually trying to will a world that they don’t see in existence into being."

Oh I see. The panthers weren't violent anarchists with a penchant for murder. Silly me. They were just, well like, painters. Sure - they enjoyed painting the streets of Chicago, St. Paul and New York with the blood of innocent victims. They killed police officers and relished in the power and greed that their viscious natures caused in the news media and elsewhere. With their black berets and camouflage uniforms, they made a mockery of real heroes - the Green Berets.

Just another apologist for the Left who's using race to line his own pockets. And why not? It has worked wonders for Louie Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and other race-baiting miscreants. I wonder how these people sleep at night. This guy is banking on the fact that no one will remember, nor care, what the groups like the Panthers were really all about. The old-time coppers can tell you the real story.

And it ain't pretty.

The REAL story of Thanksgiving

This year we all have much to be thankful for ... both in our homes and in the public arena. It's a busy time for everyone - shopping, cooking, travelling, and all the attendant obligations. Take a moment to breath a prayer of thanks to your version of God for your loved ones, for our troops, our police officers and for our country.

thanksgiving

Chris Hitney 'crashed' another party! At least she wore green to match the ensemble of her hosts.

Here's the real story of Thanksgiving ... courtesy of Rush Limbaugh.

From the sublime to the absurd, check out this goof.

Teacher Bill Morgan walks into his third-grade class wearing a black Pilgrim hat made of construction paper and begins snatching up pencils, backpacks and glue sticks from his pupils. He tells them the items now belong to him because he "discovered" them.
The reaction is exactly what Morgan expects: The kids get angry and want their things back.
Morgan is among elementary school teachers who have ditched the traditional Thanksgiving lesson, in which children dress up like Indians and Pilgrims and act out a romanticized version of their first meetings.
He has replaced it with a more realistic look at the complex relationship between Indians and white settlers.

Another LibTard teacher brainwashing your kids into the liberal paradigm of "White=Bad, Minority=Good." Our educational system is full of these nauseating birkenstock-wearing idiots. The lesson he's putting through is white men arrived, stole everything, murdered and claimed the land for themselves.

Now is that exactly accurate? Not really. What about the atrocities on the Indian's side? Why doesn't he dress like an Indian and while the little kids take their naps, he could drag 7 or 8 of them silently out of the room so that when the others woke up they could recognize that the Indians decimated the ranks of settlers through murder and wholesale slaughter. Up until about the 1890's, Indians in Minnesota and the Dakotas were actively murdering white settlers in those regions. The US Post Office was intercepting outbound letters from settlers back to their homeland and censoring any mention of Indian massacres because the US gov't didn't want to hinder european immigration.

On to a sunnier topic: My wine suggestion this year. It is a delicious pinot blanc from Valley of the Moon winery (Sonoma, CA)

Slante!

Obama illusion syndrome

OIS. It sounds like a new acronym for erectile dysfuntion. It really sucks if your name happens to be ED.

What it stands for is Obama Illusion Syndrome. It is the disease that affects more "sensitive" or "liberal" types. The insidious disease begins by destowing the afflicted with high levels of euphoria. As the disease progresses, the person's higher brain functions begin to deteriorate - eventually leading to higher taxes, activist courts bypassing the majority's desires and, overall bigger government.

But I digress.

Barack Obama's freefall into the national political limelight - all for having nothing more than write two books about himself, and by voting for almost every left-of-center center issue in the US Senate - is really a reflection of the Democratic National Committee's collective anxiety.

As Byron York points out in the November 20 issue of National Review [subscription required], the Democrats are pushing Barack Obama because they're "really, really nervous about Hillary Clinton."

Time's Joe Klein called him [Obama] "the political equivalent of a rainbow - a sudden preternatural event inspiring awe and ecstasy."
~ Byron York National Review;

That is with good reason. Even with all of Hillary's "branding", money, enormous organizational structure and name recognition - there's no getting around it; She's going to have some very big branches blocking her climb up to the US presidency in '08.

As I wrote in a prior posting on Obama this guy is doing nothing but putting his face out in the media but giving and taking no positions that would be considered "controversial." No one in the MSM is interested in asking him any tough or complex questions, no one is playing hardball with him and no one seems to notice that he's just a cookie-cutter of Bill Clinton from the 1992 campaigns. Look how they're setting you up with the same non-sense and empty rhetoric that Bill Clinton fed us after he got elected:

Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us -- the spin masters, the negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of "anything goes." Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America -- there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America -- there's the United States of America.
~ Barack Obama, keynote address 2004

Tonight every one of you knows deep in your heart that we are too divided. It is time to heal America. And so we must say to every American: Look beyond the stereotypes that blind us. We need each other - all of us - we need each other. We don’t have a person to waste, and yet for too long politicians have told the most of us that are doing all right that what’s really wrong with America is the rest of us- them. Them, the minorities. Them, the liberals. Them, the poor. Them, the homeless. Them, the people with disabilities. Them, the gays. We’ve gotten to where we’ve nearly them'ed ourselves to death. Them, and them, and them. But this is America. There is no them. There is only us.
~ Bill Clinton acceptance speech, 1992

In short he [Obama] has done nothing at all. His only qualifications for the White House are his skin and the fact that he is not a rapper. Americans yearn to vote for such a person: The Colin Powell boomlet of 1995 wsa fueled by little else, although he had been chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. America's obsession with race is odd, and opportunists manipulate it for this own advantage.
~~ National Review "The Week"

"Obamaniacs" like to say that Obama has a "compelling life story" but his biography is anything but compelling. He didn't have to overcome any great obstacles. In fact, growing up in Hawaii, he eventually attended an elite prep school. The guy over at RealClearPolitics writes - I cheer also because Obama is an African-American -- an African father, an American mother. For someone like him to be a presidential candidate -- maybe even president -- says oodles about this country.

I think it speaks volumes that his black father ditched him and Obama's mother when Obama was 2 years old. A black man abandoning his family? Gee that hardly ever happens. And why is it that being black is an important element to being a good president? So that he take point at getting reparations for his constituents?

As York points out, Obama has never had to endure a political crucible of fire. He walked into the legislature and it's been easy street ever since. He'd be a stronger candidate if he had. If he stays in the race, it is a sure thing that the Republicans in '08 are going to slice him up like a block of deli meat.

He better be ready because the straw man is ready to burn.

Avatar

While I wait for the watch commander on days to return the Christmas tree to its position of preeminence in the 025 lobby, enjoy this funny avatar that I found over at www.gwally.com

I call this the D Young StormTrooper...

God bless Danny! Anyone that can fill the hallowed halls of the district station with the strains of Scotland The Brave is alright by me...

Political Correctness hits the Chicago Police

A confidential source informed me of some holiday controversy over at Grand & Central.

The rank and file patrol officers who work in the 25th district were abuzz yesterday when they started to notice that the Christmas tree in the lobby was gone. In its place was a hand-written placard pleading for the return of the "holiday tree".

The Christmas tree was placed in the lobby to support a children's charity. Paper stars on the tree could be picked up by officers or court personnel and a donation in the child's name could be made. There was never any mention of "Christmas" in or around the tree.

Why is this tree being selected for removal? Who knows. Every year an inflatable Santa is erected in the lobby, complete with Christmas lights and decorations. None of that was ever contested, nor removed.

But yesterday a 2nd watch supervisor ordered a subordinate to remove the tree, for unknown reasons. The supervisor happens to be of the jewish persuasion. Officers wonder whether a Menorah, placed in the lobby, would have suffered the same ill-treatment.

At a time when New Breed and Gangster Disciple gang members are targeting Chicago Police officers for murder, one wonders where this supervisor's priorities are.

It is a sad day when political correctness run-amok begins to sully the honorable halls of the Chicago Police department.

Cop murderer gets appeal

The scumbag animal who was convicted of murdering Trooper James Gross, has been allowed to have his death sentence reviewed by another court because a judge ruled that a juror had a "bias towards the death penalty."

The good news is that the convicted murderer of Officer Gross is only having his sentence reviewed - so the worst is that he'll do life in prison, or better - he'll be put down like a rabid dog.

Either way this savage killed that officer in 1996 and has had 10 years of writing letters, watching tv, seeing movies, exercising, eating 3 meals a day, playing cards, talking to his loved ones, interacting with other people and walking in the warm sunshine.

The officer's friends and family have had 10 years of loss, pain and grief.

My sincerest wish is that the reconvened jury gives this guy a death sentence - he deserves nothing less.

Here is the link to the news story.

Terrorists, Democrats - Is there a difference?

Al-Qaida's top terrorist, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, claimed in an audio tape that Al-Qaida was directly responsible for the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld and the defeat of the Republicans at the polls.

"We haven't had enough of your blood yet," he taunted in the recorded message. He mocked President Bush as a coward whose conduct of the war was rejected at the polls, challenging him to keep U.S. troops in the country to face more bloodshed.

Just as rightwing bloggers and military experts have been saying, our enemy is sophisticated and follows our news media.

The terrorist leader boasted that al-Qaida in Iraq is moving toward victory faster than expected because of Bush's mistakes.
Al-Muhajir praised the American people for handing victory to the Democrats, saying: "They voted for something reasonable in the last elections."

He also said Bush was "the most stupid president" in U.S. history.
"We call on the lame duck not to hurry his escape the way the defense secretary did," al-Muhajir said in reference to Rumsfeld's resignation as Pentagon chief on Wednesday.

"Remain steadfast on the battlefield, you coward," said al-Muhajir, who took over leadership of al-Qaida in Iraq after Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a U.S. airstrike in June."We will not rest from our jihad (holy war) until we are under the olive trees of Rumieh and we have blown up the filthiest house — which is called the White House," al-Muhajir said.

Al-Muhajir also told Iraqi Sunnis to ally with a shadowy mini-state that militants claim to have established last month under a man identified as Abu Omar al-Baghdadi.

"I vow allegiance to you," he said, addressing al-Baghdadi as the "ruler of believers " and placing al-Qaida in Iraq fighters under his command.

The Democrats don't care that they're playing right into the hands of our enemies because they're so blinded with hate for George Bush that anything that puts a hole in the administration's boat is sanctioned by them. The only problem is that we're all in the same boat and we're all going to sink if we let up in Iraq and let our enemy think that he's winning.

Sadly he already thinks he's winning. All Al-Qaida has to do is read the NYTimes or the LATimes and they'll see that our media is firmly on the side of the "insurgents". According to the Wall Street Journal, our media has been very busy highlighting our troubles and downplaying our successes:

Between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, 2005, nearly 1,400 stories appeared on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening news. More than half focused on the costs and problems of the war, four times as many as those that discussed the successes. About 40% of the stories reported terrorist attacks; scarcely any reported the triumphs of American soldiers and Marines. The few positive stories about progress in Iraq were just a small fraction of all the broadcasts.
When the Center for Media and Public Affairs made a nonpartisan evaluation of network news broadcasts, it found that during the active war against Saddam Hussein, 51% of the reports about the conflict were negative. Six months after the land battle ended, 77% were negative; in the 2004 general election, 89% were negative; by the spring of 2006, 94% were negative. This decline in media support was much faster than during Korea or Vietnam.

It's no wonder that Al-Qaida thinks that all it has to do is sit back and wait. Our very own media is busy fighting on Al-Qaida's behalf.

It seems to be working.

They're just here to work

...savagely murdered by an illegal alien....

God rest her soul. May God keep these animals on the other side of the border where they belong.

231 Spankings for the USMC

Today marks the 231st Birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Happy Birthday to the Corps!

I want to thank every Marine who ever served and shed their blood so that we may enjoy the Peace, Freedom and Liberty that our honored soldiers brought to us. They are what keep our country strong and safe. God bless each and every one of you.

I'm channeling Chesty right now ... wait a minute ... somethings coming through ----- he says, "Oooh-rah!!!"

Special shouts out to Josh, Danien, Dan, Phil and George - "1, 2, 3, 4 - I love the Marine Corps!"

MSM bagmen for DNC

The New York Times finally, albeit inadvertently, admits to being the lickspittle for the Democratic party. While Pelosi, Emanuel and the rest of the DNC moonbat goofs continue to crow and gloat over their victory, you wonder how could such an empty, platitude-rich platform of nothing carry an election? Well we can now see what really pulled the Democrats over the victory line.

On a warm night in mid-September, Representative Rahm Emanuel, the Illinois Democrat leading his party’s campaign to win back the House, stood in front of I Ricchi, a stylish Italian restaurant in downtown Washington, screaming at an aide who happened to be in his sight.
Why, he demanded, had Iraq fallen off the front pages and the evening news, replaced by President Bush’s weeklong commemoration of the Sept. 11 anniversary? How could Democrats win if this unpopular war was fought uncovered? As he headed in for dinner, he pronounced himself as despondent about his party’s hopes as he had been all year.
Two weeks later, the political world had turned, propelled by new bursts of violence in Iraq, new questions about incompetence in the waging of the war in Iraq, and an intelligence report suggesting that the American invasion had actually worsened the terrorist threat.
As Republicans and Democrats reviewed the outcome of a midterm election yesterday that upended political power in Washington, they pointed to this span of time as the most critical period of the campaign.

~NYTimes, "Democrats turn War in ally" 09Nov06

Did you catch that? Emanuel is the puppet-master of the New York Times senior editors. He can call what gets on the front page of the Old Gray Lady. That shows you how embedded the major newspapers are with the Democratic party and the peripheral NutRoots fringe.

This NYTimes story offers us a snapshot, a glimmer, into what's really going on within the Drive-by Media. Whatever the Leftists want to push, gets pushed. Anything that shows Republicans in a favorable light, anything that shows patriotism, nationalism, good stories about the War, or positive aspects to George W. Bush - all get buried or ignored. The media's bias and agenda driven news stories are not passive; theirs is a proactive agenda that seeks to pass its political messages off as objective news.

stretch pelosi

It is frankly outrageous that the news continues to deny that they operate on a blatant liberal agenda -- I wouldn't really mind much if they would just cop to it and quit acting like we don't have eyes to see and ears to hear. It's a slap in the face. The NYTimes slogan should be : "All the bias that we see fit to print." Forget putting clarity and objectivity into their faux-news articles ... it's all about bringing down their enemies and helping their friends.

What is it about the voters of Illinois that they could be so uniformed and gullible to vote into office the likes of Rahm Emanuel, Dick Durbin and Barak Obama? Is it just a function of the Crook county machine? Probably. You can't put it all down to the antics of Cook County Democrats; Downstaters though fell hook-line & sinker for Durbin's outright lies during the senate race against Al Salvi. Durbin even had the audacity to run on a pro-Life platform (he's since "seen the light" and is now and openly avowed "pro-Choicer").

But what are the Democrats really going to do for us? Nothing outside of raising taxes, opening the borders to illegals, expanding their government programs, appointing liberal activist judges and slowly etching away our freedoms through their totalitarian agenda of appeasement, political correctness and cultural diversity. Oh, I forgot - they're going to "restore integrity and honesty" in Washington.

"Democrats promise to work in a bipartisan way for all Americans," Pelosi told an ecstatic crowd. "We are prepared to govern. And we will do so working together with the administration and Republicans in Congress in partnership, not partisanship. Americans voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington, DC, and Democrats intend to lead the most honest, open and ethical Congress in history."
~ Nancy Pelosi, "The Australian news"

This coming from the crowd comprised of such honest and trustworthy folks as William Jefferson (D-La.), Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ.), Senator Torricelli (D-NJ.) and Congressman John Murtha (D-PA.) (an unindicted co-conspirator in the ABSCAM FBI sting operation). The only reason Murtha wasn't indicted was because fellow Pennsylvania Congressman Bailey (D-PA.) "saved his ass" from the Feds by interceding on Murtha's behalf during the investigation.

As a sidebar to how the media handles Democrats and Republicans differently, see this story on the Torricelli scandal. The idiot over at the Daily Kos writes that the AP reporter who covered the Torricelli story is a "partisan fraud", "wingnut" who did a "hatchet job" on the senator. You can only have an agenda if you're a Conservative, a Christian or a Republican. Otherwise you're above such monikers.

So there's little doubt that the next two years are going to be rough. The Democrats are already gloating about initiating impeachment hearings against the president, they're going to try to dismantle the Republican immigration reform plan and they're going to raise your taxes. It's like my buddy Dan Szalkus said, "The American voters who elected the Democrats are like people who forgot how a hangover feels so they go out and drink like a sailor on shore leave." After 6 years of sobriety, the American voters chugged down the Kool-Aid and EverClear like a couple of Appalachian moonshiners. It's going to be all headache, nausea and pain over the upcoming two years. Sadly we won't remember having any fun while we danced.

08 November 2006

The Ides of .... November?

With the midterm bloodbath finally over and the Democrats sweeping to victory, I can only say that I'm not surprised. I'm alittle disappointed but overall I'm glad that the Dems swept. At least some sort of message will get through to the embattled United States President, the Honorable George W. Bush.

"El RushBo" Limbaugh echoes my sentiments on the elections:

The way I feel is this: I feel liberated, and I'm going to tell you as plainly as I can why. I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don't think deserve having their water carried. Now, you might say, "Well, why have you been doing it?" Because the stakes are high. Even though the Republican Party let us down, to me they represent a far better future for my beliefs and therefore the country's than the Democrat Party and liberalism does.

While I can't say that I've been "carrying the water" for Bush and his administration, I can say that in hindsight there were some niggling doubts about where I thought the administration's loyalties were. Yesterday Bush was asked about how he felt now about his immigration policy. He perked up and became excited when he said, "Yes, I think we have a better chance of getting immigration reform now with a Democrat-controlled Congress."

The only thing stopping full fledged amnesty for illegals was a Republican controlled congress. Well you can forget immigration enforcement. This putz just got his ass handed to him in an election and he blindly trudges on into handing our country over to illegal aliens. He apparently doesn't care that they're bankrupting our social programs, medical facilities, social security, and municipalities.

The problem with the Republican leadership is that they ignored and continue to dismiss their bases' views and wishes. Bush moved away from the conservative principles that got him into office. The Big Government, the big spending the out of control social program spending .. spend...spend...spend...spend....This guy is worse than LBJ !

An additional problem which you can lay at Bush's feet is his ineptness in communicating to the public. Besides the southern twang and malapropisms, he just never stepped out and told us what the hell was going on in Iraq. The White House went dark for a long time - even while the Left was hurtling grenades at it and attacking it with all types of asinine accusations. And the White House just sat there and took it all without counter-attacking the idiotic afronts. When we wanted to hear positive stories about Iraq, all we heard was "comprehensive immigration reform". When we wanted to know more about domestic surveillance and the FISA courts, all we heard from Bush was "social security reform."

As a registerd Republican it has been a damn frustrating 6 years.

Maybe Bush will start doing something about his image and begin giving us the information that we need to feel like we, as United States citizens, are just as important as your run-of-the-mill Illegal alien. Bush seems to think that there is no difference.

If you don't vote, the terrorists win

Right after the 9/11 murders, many people used the tragedy to inspire civic action - "If you stay home and don't spend money, the terrorists win!"

It even went to the absurd.

Overheard at a smokey bar one late Friday night:
Man:"Why don't you come home with me?"
Woman:"Uh, I don't think so."
Man:"If you don't sleep with me, the terrorists win."

But tomorrow's midterm vote could, indeed, help the terrorists win if you don't get out there and take 10 minutes to vote.

For every Republican who stays home, it is a vote for the Democrats. And what will we get if they get into office? Here's a list:

* More taxes

* More "rights" for terrorists

* More social security and other welfare benefits for illegals

* More legislating from the bench - more activist judges passing laws that veer farther and farther away from our Constitution.

* Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Dick Durbin, Chuck Schumer, Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton

So just go out there and vote. Your country is depending upon you.
