Corruption, Igorance, Recklessness and Arrogance

Despite some well-known political pundits claiming that the CIRA (comprehensive immigration reform act) is a civilized and well-thought-through piece of legislation, I'm not convinced.

Neither is John Derbyshire over at National Review.

When, exactly, did the U.S. people ask for this huge burden to be placed on their local services & tax base?  When did we ask our lawmakers to open the nation's doors to tens of millions of low-skilled immigrants, paying low levels of tax, and making big demands on our welfare services?  When did we insist that people who have come into our country illegally, and stolen the Social Security numbers of citizens in order to get work, be eligible for Social Security benefits based on those stolen numbers?  (Yes, that is actually in CIRA.)  And that, just as the social security funding system is heading into major crisis?  When did we ask for legal immigration numbers to be tripled?   When?

This bill is just not good for us. It is an attempt at pandering to the hispanic vote in our country because, our PollCrazy politicians see that the demographics for hispanics is arching upward over the next 50 years. Allowing a flood of unskilled labor into our country is going to cost us billions more than what we're going to benefit. The unabashed lack of courage on the floor of the senate was appalling. While these senatorial bombasts hobnob at cocktail parties and swagger around in their elitist circles, Joe Workingstiff is getting the congressional Soapy Finger prostate exam. The WH hired Tony Snow as press secretary in order to try to placate the Republican rank and file. But, with Snow likening illegal immigration to a speeding ticket, the festering rage among conservatives is anything but abated.

Some days I feel like Travis Bickle - watching the sea of bust-outs, winos, gangbangers, the drug addicts, the whores - you start to believe that the whole world is awash in misery, disease and crime. There are no rules. The only rule that exists is that you are always wrong. You get blamed for everything under the sun: You pick on people, you profile, you are in favor of legal immigration and you are a racist, you just stop people for no reason, "you writing me for DWB!" You don't speak spanish and the illegals who dialed 911 want to know why not. You arrest a domestic battery offender who fights you and, later, the wife sues you and the city for doing your job. If you don't arrest the offender and you get screamed at by your do-nothing sergeant for having the audicity to decide that the wife is lying. You see your discretion and your rights slowly being etched away, like the ocean eating away at a cliff face. Some "pillar of the community" gets gunned down and no one sees a thing. You walk down the street with an orange parking ticket book in your hand and dozens come streaming out of their homes to tell you why they didn't have time to buy a city sticker. You see how much anguish and suffering that drugs and gangs inflict on a place and all you can hope for is the rain - the hard cold rain that will clean the streets, keep the gangbangers on their porches and off the corners - the rain that pummels the concrete and cools the heat of a society that is no longer rational. You see simple courtesies are no longer practiced. Drivers cut each other off and blame each other. One driver does a U-turn, almost causing an accident, and when the other driver beeps his horn, the offending driver flips him the bird. It's all about me out there - fuck everyone else. Music gets blasted until all hours of the night. The constant drumming of Bass Cannons vibrating the windows of your house at 3am sends your blood pressure up over 200. Your wife and kids start to see you in a different light - you're quicker to lose your temper, you seeth, you sit and stare at the wall on your days off - not knowing or caring about what happens during the next 6 hours. Just numb. You see our wonderful illegal immigrants proudly displaying flags of Mexico - and you know all they care about is making money and having more babies and sending more US money down to their pitiful cesspool of corruption. You see our president and our senators flushing our sovereignty down the toilet. People don't care about anything except their things and themselves. Well versed in what their rights are but completely ignorant of their obligations. Men of vice are elevated, men of virtue are denigrated. Hope is obscured by a dark cloud. Political grandstanding and political correctness have bleached all color from our landscape. Uneducated delinquent Punks run the streets - beating, robbing and thieving. They get away with dozens of crimes and then whine about how "good" they are when you catch them. They wonder why the police hate them. All of a sudden bias became a one-way street. If you are a "person of color" you can say whatever you want, no matter how outrageous or inflammatory, and you are listened to. If you hate Bush then you're a hero. If you stand for this country and support its troops, you are a brainwashed neanderthal. History gets revised, text books get whitewashed. Kids are taught that Washington was a terrorist and Jefferson raped his black slaves and had children with them. Murder is no big deal. Jimmy Hoffa won't be found because his murderers were thorough. Murderers are labeled as 'misunderstood' and are allowed a seemingly never-ending appeal process. The murderer who killed Officer Camp was convicted of Disarming a Police Officer and PSMV - both together carry a sentence of 60 years but he'll be out in 15 on good behavior. He'll get cable tv, 4 meals a day, a well lit clean cell and yard privileges. All Camp's family and friends get is a folded US flag and tears on every missed birthday, Christmas and wedding Anniversary. You see everyday how people who rob, rape and murder get every consideration while their victims rot in the soil. The criminals get everything - good people get nothing except death and taxes.

McCain says America "heartless"

McCain said yesterday on the Senate floor that he getting "tired of hearing the word amnesty." He also said that if you're not in favor of building a fence on the Southern American border, then you "don't know the conditions of the human heart."

I'm getting tired of being called a racist, a zenophobe and a protectionist. Those labels are tiresome and inappropriate.

McCain and Bush say that we can't track illegals nor stop illegals. Bush says that "there is a demand" for these immigrants. Who is demanding a quintupling of illegal immigration? Does he think that we need 25% of our population to be foreign-born within 20 years?  “There is no precedent for that level of immigration at any time in U.S. history,” observes Rector. He projects increased government spending of $46 billion per year or more. The Senate immigration plan "would be the largest expansion of the welfare state in 35 years," concludes Rector. Almost 50% of illegal immigrants are high school dropouts and will undoubtedly further burden our already over-stressed social security programs.

Not that I would ever defend his views, his right to have them and not bepunished for having them is an entirely different matter. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of professors and high school teachers whose views are on the radical left and are just as, if not more offensive, than Dr. McCuen's. Many teachers completely deny the existence of the Holocaust. Many consider the United States the greatest terrorist state on Earth. Many think the death of U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan is a good thing. Many think we got what we deserved on 9-11. It's interesting that the NEA will defend the leftist radicals but not the conservative ones. May I suggest an agenda?!? ~ Cory

Whenever I come across a story like this I strive for accuracy. I'm sure many readers found it offensive to their nature. But people get offended for many different reasons and, sometimes, over mere trivialities. It is interesting that this teacher is vilified for expressing his views while people like Louis Farrakhan can make similar comments and he continues to get support and a somewhat positive media glow.

"Cory's" comment was right on point. People who call Americans terrorists, who say we got we deserved on 9/11 - and other such drivel all get a warm welcome in the MSM. Remember when Ward Churchill called the WTC victims "technocrats" and "little Eichmanns". He even went on to say that American soldiers in battle should kill their commanding officers. The MSM barely uttered a peep about this guy's comments. It was only through bloggers and talk radio that his outrageous views were brought to the light of day. His own university just concluded that Churchill was guilty of research misconduct, which include plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification. The university has yet to determine if Churchill will be even suspended for such remarks - let alone fired.

Still think that there is no agenda in the MSM?

Keilor Konfesses Krimes

Garrison Keillor, the liberal-Left's paunchy, 'touchy-feely' Lake Woebegone icon - finally did it. He finally admited that he is ignorant. He says that when it comes to Catholicism he is blissfully unaware of what it's all about.

Blissfully ignorant seems to be Keillor's constant state of being.

His piece at salon.com tries to come off as a mea culpa regarding an appearance at a high school that he backed out of. But the article quickly devolves into a passive-aggressive slam at the Catholic Mass, the Pope and - last but not least - Republicans. (ooooohh ... those evil republicans! shiver!!!)

Having been called names, one looks back at one's own angry outbursts over the years, and I recall having once referred to Republicans as "hairy-backed swamp developers, fundamentalist bullies, freelance racists, hobby cops, sweatshop tycoons, line jumpers, marsupial moms and aluminum-siding salesmen, misanthropic frat boys, ninja dittoheads, shrieking midgets, tax cheats, cheese merchants, cat stranglers, pill pushers, nihilists in golf pants, backed-up Baptists, the grand pooh-bahs of Percodan, mouth breathers, testosterone junkies and brownshirts in pinstripes." I look at those words now, and "cat stranglers" seems excessive to me. The number of cat stranglers in the ranks of the Republican Party is surely low, and that reference was hurtful to Republicans and to cat owners. I feel sheepish about it.

Oh the wit! Oh the stinging jabs! Wait -- I need to get a Kleenex and catch my breath from laughing so hard. Another example at how "tolerant" the Left is when you don't agree with them.

I am a low-church Episcopalian, and all you can smell in our midst is a medley of deodorants and some hairspray and a faint aroma of baking croissants for the fellowship hour. In the Catholic Church, as often as not, you have the priest whipping around a censer on a long chain, emitting clouds of repellent smoke like burning tires that all are required to inhale, a censer that could easily come loose and fly willy-nilly into the congregation and brain somebody and perhaps come apart and spew red-hot coals among small children, scarring them forever and requiring years of therapy. If this isn't a public safety issue, then I am Catherine of Aragon.

Of course you can see that he's trying to be tongue-in-cheek. But from this small article you can deduce what type of person you're dealing with. He agrees to do an appearance on behalf of a group doing a benefit for a historic preservation group, but, he writes, "I failed to read the invitation carefully. The benefit, it turned out, was to raise money to go to court to stop DeLaSalle High School from building a football field on Nicollet Island, a historic neighborhood of Minneapolis, which may be a fine and noble purpose (the friends who asked me to do the benefit think so), but it's not my neighborhood, so I withdrew. Neighborhood disputes are ferocious, like marital ones, and if an outsider steps in, it only exacerbates the situation."

So he commits to the appearance but then backs out because he didn't understand why he was going? Hmm. How does he go from doing a benefit for a local high school to believing that he's going to get accused of being anti-catholic? And he pulls out under the pretense of not wanting to get involved in a different neighborhood? Come on - is he kidding me? Liberal activists like Keillor get involved in other neighborhoods all the time. They don't even need a good excuse to go poking around some neighborhood if their Liberal agenda is threatened.

What if a Muslim community center in South Dakota was being picketed by people who were demanding that mainstream Muslims issue a fatwa condemning the beheading and murder of non-Muslims? What if these demostrators were pro-War?
Do you think Keillor would be "in a different" neighborhood to speak on behalf of Muslim? You bet.

Keillor wouldn't pass up an opportunity to say something nice and positive about the "religion of peace"- the religion that is fueling hatred and intolerance worldwide. He wouldn't "waste" his time condemning truly horrific events in the world - the wholesale slaughter of Christians in Sudan, the suicide bombers in Israel, the wave of Islamic facism that is spreading like fire across the world ... Oh no! Catholicism is the issue that is worthy of Keillor's scorn.

He writes that one of his complaints is the use of the censor during the Catholic Mass. As a Protestant, I can't be too harsh on him since he deserves more pity than derision. The atmosphere of a Protestant church service is more of a community meeting than a ceremony. The Protestants stress 'community' and not the rites involved in a ceremonial gathering. The Protestant services are bland and sterile. The pastor typically speaks to the congregation like a kind neighbor - using scripture to teach, enlighten and admonish. As Joseph Campbell once remarked, "In a Protestant service, there is no God in the House."

The Catholic priest is the carrier of the secret symbols. He uses the tools of his trade to invoke a direct meeting of God and Man. During the Mass, there is to be a transubstantiation of the bread and wine into the flesh and blood of Jesus. The bells sound the chimes at the exact moment when that is occuring. The censor fills the air with woodsy scented smoke that flows throughout the pews like the holy spirit, or Angel of Death, flowed through the streets of Egypt during passover. The Catholic Mass offers its congregation a chance to experience the mythic symbols of God directly using the 5 senses. The church is usually shaped like a cross and is designed to propel the participant beyond the confines of time and space and to experience communion with God (the thing that is beyond all pairs of opposites).

Keillor can't be bothered to dig down into such "trivialities". Why learn rudimentary Catholic doctrines when it is so much more salacious, and easy, to slam the whole thing and dismiss it as some hokey religion?

Keillor and his audience of Liberal-leaning Leftists are accustomed to elevating the Men of Vice and denigrating the Men of Virtue. It just shows how truly ignorant they are and why the Left is to be rightly scorned for its abject apathy.

NSA going after Journalists: Finally!

Tim Grieve, an irksome, petty personality over at salon.com - writes that an anonymous "law enforcement" official told ABC news reporters that the NSA program is tracking journalists' phone-calls in order to identify the confidential news sources that reporters employ. As usual the Leftists at salon.com employ cheap propaganda tricks in order to lull their liberal sheeple readership.

Hysteria, thy name is Mainstream Media.

You have to look closely at the story and read the final paragraph to understand what is going on here.

Ross and Esposito say there's no indication that the content of their calls is being monitored. As they note, however, "a pattern of phone calls from a reporter" could reveal the identity of confidential sources.

They raise the hue and cry over, yet another NSA scandal but - suddenly - there is no scandal. Huh? The reporters say that there is "no indication" that they are, in actuality, being monitored. So they can just make up some anonymous official, claim that the government is targeting journalists, print the story, send an email blast to hundreds of thousands of email accounts, then say that there is no real proof that the government is targeting journalists.

Welcome to the dark, dismal, Orwellian society that is our mainstream media. All hype - no fact.

If any of this is true then you have to ask, "So what?" What would the government do with the info? Say they identified a phone number that called Maureen Dowd 28 times last year. Let's say Maureed Dowd wrote a scathing column about Karl Rove that said that Rove was seen canoeing on a river in Connecticut the weekend that Valeria Plame was "outed". So what?
What can the Federal government do - station guards outside the home of the tipster? Sift through his garbage? Ideally maybe the Feds could find some evidence that the tipster broke the law but, realistically, law enforcement can't do much.

With the constant tidal wave of unhinged moonbat invective being thrown around, it might be a good idea for the government to start digging into where these Leftists in the news media are getting their information. It would make things alot clearer and would lessen the amount of hysteria that we see coming out of the MSM.

Personally I 'd like to see them going after journalists. Why stop at tracking them? Charge them with sedition, treason and giving aid and comfort to the enemy - then hang them.

Bush: "Bend over and take it!"

The internet ether is alive and crackling with fire from pundit commenataries over GW's continued pandering to pro-Illegal immigration mobs - "The Amnesty That Dare Not Be Named."

As usual, Bush shoves it down our throats while giving us the soapy finger of a Temporary Guest Work program. Michelle Malkin correctly points out that there is nothing "temporary" about allowing a flood of unskilled labor into your country. Just imagine 5 years from now when Jose and his family of 5 are asked to leave the country because Jose's Guest Worker pass is expired. Some reporter for ABC News will interview a tearful Juanita, who will say that Jose can't be deported because 3 of their 4 babies were born in the US and are now citizens. Juanita will go on to say (with the help of a spanish interpretor) that Jose's landscaping job and their welfare LINK card were the only thing supporting them. A grave and serious reporter will face the camera and ask, "How can you send this hardworking father, husband and immigrant back to his native country?" The media will have a field day over this. There is no such thing (realistically) as a temporary worker plan. In a Zogby poll, only 13% of Americans are in favor of Bush's "No Illegal Left Behind" plan.

Unintentional laugh line: Most illegal aliens "live in the shadows of our society." Unintentional laugh line #2: "We are a nation of laws. And we must enforce our laws." Cites border security funding increase. "The men and women of our Border Patrol are doing a fine job under difficult circumstances." That I agree with 100 percent. 807 Message to Vicente Fox: "The United States is not going to militarize the border." But you go ahead and militarize yours, Vicente. Addresses catch-and-release problem. Detention bed shortage. We'll end catch and release at the southern border once and for all. ~ Michelle Malkin

What about the costs to us? The Washington Times estimates that within 20 years, this guest worker plan will allow almost 200 million more people (most unskilled) into our country. The burden on the taxpayers will be high and unbearable.

The guest worker program will bring 325,000 workers into the US every year. Again, mostly unskilled.

The Senate immigration reform bill would allow for up to 193 million new legal immigrants -- a number greater than 60 percent of the current U.S. population -- in the next 20 years, according to a study released yesterday.     "The magnitude of changes that are entailed in this bill -- and are largely unknown -- rival the impact of the creation of Social Security or the creation of the Medicare program," said Robert Rector, senior policy analyst at the Heritage Foundation who conducted the study.     Although the legislation would permit 193 million new immigrants in the next two decades, Mr. Rector estimated that it is more likely that about 103 million new immigrants actually would arrive in the next 20 years.     Sen. Jeff Sessions, Alabama Republican who conducted a separate analysis that reached similar results, said Congress is "blissfully ignorant of the scope and impact" of the bill, which has bipartisan support in the Senate and has been praised by President Bush.

Anyway you look at it, this Guest Worker plan is an abomination. And while the President of Mexico is upset that we are stationing our military at the border to help the Border Patrol agents do a more effective job, Vicente Fox doesn't have a problem using Mexican Army Regulars patroling the Mexico/Guatemala border to keep Guatemalan immigrants from coming across. Doesn't it seem like more and more Mexico is dictating US immigration policy? WTF?!?!?!!?!?

Don't think that turning to the Democrats in the fall is the answer either - they're even more clueless.

It used to be that homosexuality was considered a 'deviant' lifestyle. Deviant simply means "Differing from a norm or from the accepted standards of a society." In fact, until recently, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, published by the American Psychiatric Association, classified homosexuality as a mental illness. I believe that it should be considered a mental illness in that many of the people that I know who consider themselves 'gay' - got 'gay' by being abused. They could definitely be helped by some psychiatric treatment.

About 2%-6% of the US population consider themselves 'gay'. Although this google writer claims that homosexuality is a genetic trait - not a chosen lifestyle. That which we do not understand becomes a genetic trait, in our current politically correct social environment.



Since feelings are primary in our culture now, it cannot be broadcast that homosexuals have a 'choice' - that would mean that they have the ability to choose. That would remove the thin veneer of victimhood off of their shoulders. No...no...no -- we can't have that. We have to continue to pander to the idea that gays are being beaten up, assaulted and discriminated against. The film industry caters to this idea with such blockbusters as The Bird Cage, Torchlight Trilogy and BrokeBack Mountain.

Another side to this ridiculous fantasia of sexual orientation being a sacred Cow, people are now using their sexual identity as their primary identity. In the academy we had an instructor who was openly gay. It was a big 'So What?' - he was a great instructor and had, obviously been a good coppper when out on the street. None of us cared that he was gay.

Unfortunately many gays are looking for reassurances. They want you to bend over backwards and oooh and aahhh over their lifestyle so that you 'prove' that you are accepting of homosexuality.

I personally don't want to interfere with people's choices. This is a free society, afterall. If people want to fall in love, live together and have sex - then by all means, go ahead. I don't think it is the governement's business to interfere.

Likewise, I don't think that Gay Marriage should be ENDORSED by the government. I think that government should be neutral towards it. Neither supporting nor inhibiting. The Federal Marriage Amendment seeks to define marriage as a union between a Man and a Woman.

We have to stop the mewling special interest groups from taking over because this is still a majority-governed populace. Homosexuality was considered deviant for a very good reason. If you are a 6'2" 300 lb man who wants to dress like Celine Dion, then don't you think there are some issues in your life that need to be examined?

Unfortunately the Left thinks No. There is no problem there - just keep telling yourselves that all is well and ~ voila~ it is!

Where will it all end? When we see states supporting marriage between a Man and his Hamster?

Extra TB, hold the Hysteria

On 11-May, Michelle Malkin posted an article which talked about the influx of illegals who are spreading contagious diseases.

A social worker tracked down the illegal alien's friends and family. They all tested positive for TB and, get this, were all working "behind the scenes" in local restaurants. How appetizing. No word on whether the illegal workers' employers or local public health officials were informed.

According to this study, 84 hospitals in California are closing their doors due to illegals racking up medical bills into the $300,000's and never paying a dime. And according to the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons (Spring '05), illegals are re-introducing contagions that were thought to be eliminated - plague, TB, and leprosy. Even they realize that anchor babies are the issue that keeps the illegal immigrants hanging on - spreading disease and milking the medical system.

Rescind the citizenship of anchor babies.We must overturn the misinterpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution grants citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States. An illegal alien mother is subject to the jurisdiction of her country. The baby of an illegal alien mother also is subject to that home country's jurisdiction. When the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified, its purpose was to assure rights of freedom and citizenship to newly emancipated Negro citizens. American Indians, however, were excluded from American citizenship because of their tribal jurisdiction. Also not subject to American jurisdiction were foreign visitors, ambassadors, consuls, and their babies born here. For citizenship, the person was required to submit to complete, exclusive American jurisdiction, owing allegiance to no other nation.

What is unseen is their free medical care that has degraded and closed some of Americaís finest emergency medical facilities, and caused hospital bankruptcies: 84 California hospitals are closing their doors. ìAnchor babiesî born to illegal aliens instantly qualify as citizens for welfare benefits and have caused enormous rises in Medicaid costs and stipends under Supplemental Security Income and Disability Income. What is seen is the illegal alien who with strong back may cough, sweat, and bleed, but is assumed healthy even though he and his illegal alien wife and children were never examined for contagious diseases. By default, we grant health passes to illegal aliens. Yet many illegal aliens harbor fatal diseases that American medicine fought and vanquished long ago, such as drug-resistant tuberculosis, malaria, leprosy, plague, polio, dengue, and Chagas disease.

I work near Our Lady of Resurrection hospital. Many prisoners who pretend to be ill while in custody get treated in the ER there.
On 3 separate occasions I tried to get hard numbers on exactly how much the hospital spends on treating prisoners and on illegals who are uninsured. I have yet to get any calls returned nor have any of the staff been forthcoming with information. I continue to get stonewalled. Do you know why they guard this information so agressively? It is due to the fact that if it became common knowledge that illegals were bankrupting our medical system, there would be a hue and cry all over the nation and the hospitals that released the information would be targeted by pro-Illegal groups. They'd stand in front of the hospital with their Mexican flags and point the finger and scream "Viva la Raza!"



So get out there and Work! Millions of illegals on welfare are counting on you!

Tracking device planted in Police badges

With Big Brother forever trying to find a way to monitor everyone and everything on the planet, we just got a little closer to having a 24 hour telescreen that watches your every move. It is bad enough that they're using Red-Light cameras to 'catch' cops going through intersections without their emergency equipment activated.

H-e-l-l-o! Sometimes we don't activate our equipment to go 2 blocks in order to back up another car that is on a traffic stop! If the intersection is clear and traffic is light, then where is our discretion?!?!?!! I don't know where our discretion is but, I'll tell you where it is going - right out the fucking window!

They are already loading up some cars with GPS tracking and surveillance (audio and video) hardware. They claim it is for 'officer safety' but really it is to see where you are at all times and how many times during the tour you utter an ethnic slur. That way it makes it easier to weed out the 'bad' cops - see how it works?

Ignorance is strength, Freedom is slavery and War is Peace.

V.H. Blackinton & Co. Inc. has developed a badge for law enforcement and government agencies with an embedded radio frequency identification (RFID) chip it plans to launch in August, company officials said Friday. The SmartShield system validates badges and verifies the wearer. The package comprises Blackinton metal badges equipped with RFID chips, and Enforcement Identification (Eid) software that tracks information on each badge in a department’s inventory.

After all this time I finally understand, viscerally, why people hate President Bush. To clarify, I should say that I can empathize with some of their vitriol.

On the 5th of May, YahooNews reported that Bush's approval ratings are at an all-time low. The fact that his numbers are in the basement is nothing new, nor is that the truly pathetic part. The truly shocking part is that 45% of 'self-described' Republicans disapprove of this president and his policies.

Wow....just let that sink in.

The people that 'got him to The Dance' are the ones that disapprove of his performance by an almost 2 to 1 margin.



Has Bush jumped the shark? I say Yes. Although the political base of any politician is fickle by its very nature, Bush is on a downturn because so many of us have seen how little he thinks of the people who voted him into his office. When Bush first floated his "No Illegal Left Behind" plan, I called the White House to voice my displeasure with this self-destructive initiative. The switchboard operator listened patiently to my harangue then calmly said, "Mr. St. Michel, we are sorry to lose your vote" then he hung up on me. It was representative of what this administration's position is when it comes to its critics: Shut up, we're right. Bush and his team figured that they were on a roll - with 9/11 and the battles in Iraq and Afghanistan, they could just steamroll around without consideration of the US People. The fact is, Bush doesn't want to listen to his base. The vast majority of Americans want our borders secured and the illegals deported.

It is maddening to watch him set aside our National interests in order to appease an imaginary, monolithic "latino" voter block. This doofus got into office and then right after he was elected for a second term he began his Amnesty push.

Well the cut from a friend is the unkindest of all. We thought that Bush would step up and represent us with strong principles, strong convictions and, with values that are cemented in our National culture. After 8 years of Slick Willy Clinton and his Cirque de Sex at the White House, we all thought Bush was a welcome change. He'd be a strong leader who wouldn't get caught in a bathroom with his pants down.

Ah .... you'd be wrong. Bush is in the White House giving oral favors to his Asshole-Buddy Vicente Fox. All Bush is concerned with is pandering and appeasing the Illegal Immigration groups. Period.

2008 will be a GOP bloodbath. We have no one to blame but Bush and his selective hearing skills.

Baseball panders to Mexican celebrations

Michelle Malkin reports this morning that during the Texas Rangers-NY Yankees baseball game last night at Texas Stadium, the Rangers had their uniforms changed to read "Los" Rangers. This in apparent homage to the Cinco de Mayo celebration.


This outright pandering is getting out of hand.

As Michelle correctly points out, what if the Rangers changed their jerseys to reflect Confederate Heroes Day? The Left and the pampered minority special interest groups would throw accusations of racism around like hogs at a feeding. It is now acceptable to celebrate other culture's wars and battles but, when it comes to our own national pride, any celebrations are considered to be endorsing imperialism and oppression.

The double standard is appalling.

This is the reason that blogging and talk radio media outlets are important. MLB let this happen, with the assent of the Texas Rangers team, and no major media outlet made an issue of it. If they had, you can believe that the spokesmen for La Raza would be up in arms. So last night's game went quietly along with the uniform change. The political correctness crowd is subtle and subversive. You can count on them being forever servile and patient. They hope and count on the distracted masses being unaware and ignorant so that, over an extended period of time, as they etch away at our sensibilities, they can come back 5 years from now and say, "Look! We've changed the Rangers' uniforms every year of the last five and no one said a peep about it!"

So much for the great American pasttime being a celebration of American culture.
Where will it end? Will all American sports teams begin to celebrate Mexican historical milestones?

Arizona sends out posse to arrest illegals

That's what I'm talking about.

The infamous Sheriff Joe Arpaio said today that he will deploy 1,000 to 3,000 law enforcement personnel to arrest illegals on sight.

Most of the group will likely be deployed across Maricopa County.

"It's important to send the message out to stay in Mexico and don't come roaming around here hoping you're going to get amnesty," said Arpaio, who in years past gained notoriety for putting inmates on chain gangs and issuing them striped uniforms and pink underwear. Arpaio's deputies have already arrested about 120 illegal immigrants using a new state smuggling law.

Go get 'em, Joe! My kind of guy.

"It's the guilt, stupid!"

You ever have one of those huge 10,000 piece jigsaw puzzles when you were a kid? It would take up an entire dining room table. Usually they were pictures of landscapes or of major architectural exhibits - The Eiffel Tower, The Pyramids, or London's Big Ben.

And with the bigger jigsaw kits, the pieces were always tiny.

Sometimes I'd spend days searching for just one piece. It could be maddening.

But then there were times when I'd find just the right one and ~ Voiå! ~ that one piece, so elusive, so buried - would spring a chain reaction of discovery into motion and I'd quickly string together 100 pieces.

I draw this analogy to a piece published in the WSJ op-ed pages on May 2. It's entitled "White Guilt and the Western Past" and was written by Shelby Steele. He is a research fellow at the Hoover Institute.

After World War II, revolutions across the globe, from India to Algeria and from Indonesia to the American civil rights revolution, defeated the authority inherent in white supremacy, if not the idea itself. And this defeat exacted a price: the West was left stigmatized by its sins. Today, the white West--like Germany after the Nazi defeat--lives in a kind of secular penitence in which the slightest echo of past sins brings down withering condemnation. There is now a cloud over white skin where there once was unquestioned authority.

Shelby's article identifies guilt as the primary mechanism of social manipulation. I mean manipulation in its pejorative use - as a manner of coercion. The Left, immediately after Stalin became an "ism", began to use this technique in its political discourse. The Leftists, especially during the 1960's, recognized that using collective guilt assuaged the feelings of the 'victims' while pushing the 'offenders' into a defensive stance. It also had the added benefit of adding legitimacy to one side, and disenfranchising the other. Thus today, we still see the images of Che Guevara emblazened upon t-shirts and bumper stickers. We still hear Leftist tools mouthing the faded slogans from a faded manifesto - "Imperialists!", "America - No Blood For Oil!" In the 60's, the mouthpieces of socialism, intent on establishing a communist utopia, stepped up and pointed a damning finger at white people and got the liberal media to amplify their messages of condemnation. All as a ploy to destabilize our nation. To a major extent it worked. And we see how white males no longer have a voice. If you are white and express your opinions you are automatically considered suspect. You don't have legitimacy.


Shelby Steele is black. The fact that the writer is black makes a difference in people's perceptions. Should it?

No.

If he was white and wrote this article, then the NAACP and every other media whore would be up in arms and demanding the the WSJ quit using him for their op-ed section. Mr. Steele is a research fellow on race relations. Do you think that the Hoover Institue would hire a white man as a fellow in their race relations department? No. You have to be a member of an 'oppressed' minority group to have such a distinguished position.

In Iraq, America is fighting as much for the legitimacy of its war effort as for victory in war. In fact, legitimacy may be the more important goal. If a military victory makes us look like an imperialist nation bent on occupying and raping the resources of a poor brown nation, then victory would mean less because it would have no legitimacy.

We did make major inroads into equality - the Civil Rights Act was passed, segregation was eliminated and educational opportunities were opened.

So here we are now. Dare I say we have evolved? We are enlightened and emboldened. America is a different than the rest of the world in that we aren't a nation of Swedes, or Nigerians or Irish - we can't unify ourselves by embracing an ethnic or racial identity. Our cohesion and identity are founded in our Constitution, in our Democracy, in our American Flag, in our American History and in our National English Language. America was, and is, the Great Experiment.

It is time to release ourselves from the bondage of guilt and illegitimacy. We are all here together and we need to work together to make this a better world. But let's start with our country first and then worry about helping everyone else.

No more guilt - no more excuses.



UPDATE: Here's what I'm talking about. At the time of this post, Zacarias Moussaoui was exonerated from the Death Penalty and given life in prison. He gets a life sentence for murdering 2,700 people. He was spared because he "had an abusive father" and because he was of Moroccan (African) descent.
Now, look what happened to Timothy McVeigh who was convicted of murdering 168 people in Oklahoma City. Timothy McVeigh was put to death on June 11, 2001. Moussaoui should die but won't because our justice system is rife with cowardice, moral confusion ~ and guilt.

Police Officer's Bullet Lodges in Offender's Gun During Shootout

Seattle Police Officers were involved in a shooting with a man who was pointing a gun at them. Both officers fired their .40cal Glocks at the suspect and killed him. One round from the officers ended up jammed into the cylinder of the offender's revolver.

The two officers approached the young man near a bus stop. Though the man was suspected of being armed, the officers did not see a weapon, so at first they planned to restrain him. When the man turned to face them, the officers ordered him to get on the ground and show his hands. The warning, Kimerer said, was heard by several witnesses. Instead of complying, "the suspect reached behind his back with both hands," he said. Out came a revolver, police officers said. The officers ordered the man to drop the gun. Instead, police said, he squared up against them. "The officers returned fire in response to that deadly threat," Kimerer said. Both officers, armed with Glock .40 caliber semi-automatic handguns, fired. One fired four shots; the second, three shots. One of those bullets ended up in the gunman's gun -- jammed into the cylinder of his revolver. The department released photos Wednesday showing the cracked brass of a bullet shoved out of the rear of one chamber.

I'm so happy that the officers are fine and one more shithead is off the street. Good job guys!

It's Hard For A PimP To Get Edgemacated

In today's Chicago Tribune an editorial appears entitled "Learning curve for black men and black boys." The first warning flag, for me, began right in the byline. It says "by Tim King, the founder and chief executive officer of Urban Prep Academies, a non-profit education organization that is opening Urban Prep Charter Academy for Young Men."

Oh no.

"Non-profit" in social-liberal-speak means that an organization was set up in order to wheedle funds out of some federal or state fund in order to help people who are deemed to be "disadvantaged." They, in effect, support and continue victimhood. I should know - I worked for a non-profit. It was an eyeopening experience. It was the first time that I directly experienced racial discrimination; as a victim.

But that is for another time, another posting.

Well true to form, Tim King goes right after your heart with these statistics:

A recently released study by the Consortium for Chicago School Research indicates that fewer than 7 percent of freshmen entering Chicago public high schools will earn a college degree by their 25th birthday. This statistic hits African-American and Latino students the hardest since these groups make up more than 85 percent of public school students in Chicago. Dig deeper into the numbers and you find that only 2.5 percent of black male students make it through college--just about 1 in 50.

Gee - is it because there's just not enough money to go around and that is what is keeping these kids from getting an education? My answer is a resounding No!

I see the miscreants streaming out of Steinmetz high school everyday and I have observed that less than 2% have books with them when they leave. That means that they either don't need to study because they're so brilliant, or - and more likely - they'll be called "sissy", "Oreo" or "punk" if they are seen walking home with books. It's just easier to leave the books at school than to confront the Maniac-Imperial-5-Star-Elite-ViceLord gangbangers that sit with you in 4th period "World Reading" class. If they do see you with books then they'll demand to know why you think you're better than them by actually studying when you get home.

Steinmetz performance levels are atrocious. 50% of freshman graduate (I'd love to see how many juniors actually graduate, probably much less than 50%), the average ACT score is 16.2 (Illinois average is almost 20), and they score an abismal 25% on PSAE state standards. To illustrate how pathetic the kids at Steinmetz are doing, their 25% rating puts them in below average.

Predictably Mr. King says that first and foremost we must throw more money at it. That is not working, and has never worked. It is just not true that more spending equals better performance. We're spending tens of thousand per student and not seeing any measurable results.

La Shawn Barber has some interesting and evocative things to say on airing the dirty laundry in the black community. A definite "must-read."

Mr. King is right when he says that black kids need a two parent household - one mom and one dad. It's time for the black community to step up and address the lack of father infuence in their family of origin. Almost every single troubled kid that I've interacted with had either no father or a severely abusive one. The message that life is all about getting "bling", "poppin caps at the niggas up da street" and "fucking bitches" doesn't enamor a young man into dreams of entering John Hopkins Medical School and becoming a doctor.

Liberals are partially to blame. The empty rhetoric and environmental suicide of political correctness and diversity has made it virtually impossible to offer constructive criticism to certain ethnic groups. It is hard to give someone advise on something when the giver is constantly accused of hating the person to whom the advise is offered.

But when is someone going to step up and say that failing schools, homicide and crime among black youths is not a function of systemic racism? I guess never as long as we continue to throw money at the issues effecting the black community.

Can't we all get along - and get educated?

And today across America at all the various Pro-illegal immigration rallies I would give a similar command: "You may fire when you are ready!" I couldn't help the shameless South Park reference in the title.

I never read it but knew some of the most famous lines "Beware the Ides of March", "Et tu Brute?" and "Friends, Romans and Countrymen, lend me your ears. I come to bury Caesar not to praise him."

Also at work today I refuse to speak to anyone in Spanish. I'm boycotting the use of the Spanish language. Anyone that comes over the air looking for a translator is SOL today.

As a segue back into Julius Cesar,Sic semper tyrannis is a Latin phrase meaning "Thus always to tyrants" or "Thus ever be to tyrants". Brutus says that right after he stabs Cesar. Here's my version of that truism.
