McCain says America "heartless"

McCain said yesterday on the Senate floor that he getting "tired of hearing the word amnesty." He also said that if you're not in favor of building a fence on the Southern American border, then you "don't know the conditions of the human heart."

I'm getting tired of being called a racist, a zenophobe and a protectionist. Those labels are tiresome and inappropriate.

Via Powerline - A list of those who voted against the Fence:

Akaka (D-HI)
Bingaman (D-NM)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Dodd (D-CT)
Durbin (D-IL)
Feingold (D-WI)
Inouye (D-HI)
Jeffords (I-VT)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Lieberman (D-CT)
Menendez (D-NJ)
Murray (D-WA)
Obama (D-IL)
Reed (D-RI)
Sarbanes (D-MD)

McCain and Bush say that we can't track illegals nor stop illegals. Bush says that "there is a demand" for these immigrants. Who is demanding a quintupling of illegal immigration? Does he think that we need 25% of our population to be foreign-born within 20 years?  “There is no precedent for that level of immigration at any time in U.S. history,” observes Rector. He projects increased government spending of $46 billion per year or more. The Senate immigration plan "would be the largest expansion of the welfare state in 35 years," concludes Rector. Heritage Foundation website.

Almost 50% of illegal immigrants are high school dropouts and will undoubtedly further burden our already over-stressed social security programs.

Peggy Noonan compares Bush's speech to a fizzling Da Vinci code movie.

Listened to Hannity last night. Excellent show!!!!! Talking about Reagan and what Reagan would have done. He is also appealing to Bush and others as 19 GOPS have went sideways on The Party. We're gonna lose more than an election if people don't stick to their pricipals on this issue. Durbin...not a surprise. Obama....I'm a little surprised.

To quote Big Worm in Friday:
"It's about principality, Smokey."

Oh, I forgot. Right after Bush's speech, someone at Border Patrol or Homeland Security said..."He said that but, he really doesn't mean we're gonna put up a fence." Is that undermining the Commander in Chief or is there a public-speak and a private agenda?.....

Here's my analogy for when I contact our reps and senators....

You own a nice house. Nice yard. Nice hood. Proud and paid for everything through hard work. You start letting the neighbor kid over to cut the grass. He has no food. No money. You feed him. You pay him. He brings his family over for supper next time. The kids ruin your grass. Rip out your garden. Steal your aluminum siding. Ask you for more. And if you don't they will take you to court and make you. They invite more family and friends in to "work for you" but you are feeding them and paying them. Then they get sick and hurt. No money? They say you must pay for their doctor. They pay you a slim fraction of what you paid them....because they sent the money home for THEIR family. How long could you survive like that?.... Jesus, didn't these politicians go to school?.....

Some folks just don't get it! The Republicans,Democrats,or the President don't care what you the voter at large wants. They are doing the bidding of their REAL constituants big business and the wealthy. they want Juan and Maria here so they don't have to pay native born Americans a living wage. It's all about that top 1% keeping as much of their wealth as possible. As if the tax breaks they enjoy aren't enough. Buckle up! It's gonna be a rough ride

Mentioned was the whole family doin squatter rights on ya, an destroying everything you put into thru labor and sweat. Brings to mind what happened in Panama when we left the canal zone and country. Families that paid the latin's there and shared personal property, clothing gifts etc., on the way out the latin house keeper's sued the American families for loss wages and insurance. That's was their thank you after employing them and gifting them. You American still owe us what we were not entitled to. You owe us, now you have to leave and were out of a job.

The wealthy Pol's who are not vested in SS and who along with their spouses will be even richer when they retire are not being affected only we will be. This nonsense is so wrong and extremly un-democractic and un-just, it's enough frustration to start joining demonstrations to make the point. We know their counting on the ole citizen to keep hush and stay home.
