Dear Tyrant

Ignorance is the curse of God; knowledge is the wing wherewith we fly to heaven.
~~William Shakespeare

Dear Saddam,

This letter will reach you, I fear, too late as the Crimes Against Humanity tribunal ruled that you are to die by hanging sometime before Saturday. As of this writing, it is being reported that you are dead. Some reports stated that you looked scared, others say you were physically restrained after you panicked and tried to run from the gallows.

It is my largest regret that no one truly understands the man that stood beneath the Bowler. The one seen firing a Winchester rifle into the air before thousands of adulating supporters.

Men like you are rare. You ruled your kingdom with an iron-fisted domination that ensured your enemies were fearful and your friends were safe. You could do whatever you wanted ; if you saw a beautiful woman on the street, why not have your security detail sweep her up into the limousine and take her back to your palace for a little "afternoon delight"? You could do that. Indeed you did. Those beautiful rape rooms that you constructed ensured that you and your sons could enjoy the fruits of womanhood whenever you wanted. And what woman or prepubescent teenage girl wouldn't jump at the chance of enjoying your hot, sexy dictator antics? You could torture, inflict pain, cut off limbs - anything you wanted - with just a guttural grunt and a gesture of your hand. The absolute power is liberating, isn't it? It can be intoxicating. Knowing that any whim or urge can be satisfied at a moments notice, with no repercussions, is heady. One of the many perks about being Absolute Supreme Leader is that you don't have to worry about petty niceties - you can speak over subordinates at meetings, you can scream at them, throw things at them, hit them in the face....hell, you can even take them outside and shoot them in the kneecap. How many of us are simply jealous that we don't have that kind of power? I'm sure the number is in the millions. Like the millions of power-hungry traitors that you eliminated.

You stand in good company. You are literally in the pantheon of world tyrants. And I'm not just talking about the Big Ones - Hitler, Stalin, Ceausescu - oh, no. With the likes of Omar al-Bashir of Sudan, Kim Jong-il of North Korea, Than Shwe of Burma (now Myanmar), Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan, Hu Jintao of China, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Saparmurat Niyazov of Turkmenistan, and Teodoro Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea as your compatriots in terror, you're a shining star emblazoned in the firmament of narcissus. You are, without a doubt, a stalwart example of pure unadulterated Manhood. Women adore you, men want to be like you.

Sure your tactics were brutal - they had to be. At an early age you took the Roman emperor's motto of Oderint Dum Metuant to heart. And indeed they did hate you, and fear you. But you took it all in stride. Just like the Caesars of Rome, you brought in your own version of the Praetorian Guard (You wanted to be original so you called your Republican guards - how cheeky!). It's not easy to build up an empire. It takes energy, a thirst for power, brokering deals, making pacts, killing people, torturing people, and the hyper-vigilance of a mongoose on caffeine. You knew that the only way to build a stable empire was on the skulls and bones of your defeated enemies. Only by instilling fear would you truly be respected. You learned your Uncle Joe lore very well. Stalin would have been proud of you since you emulated everyone of his political tactics. Freedom for you, oppression for everyone else. Could it have been any other way? Definitely not. In your narcissistic world, there was only you. You were your own sun, moon and stars.

Like Lucifer, you brought light to the world of darkness. We cannot know what good is if we don't see evil. Good and evil are just two sides of the same coin. Who is righteous enough to judge you? Who can possibly have the moral authority to condemn such a one as you? You were right when you said, "No one but Allah." People always cast Lucifer as a bad guy. Most don't understand that such a one was necessary to our development. He was even central to creating mankind. Lucifer "mucked up" the whole works in order that we could have free-will. Otherwise we'd all be living in some utopian garden, never knowing the bitter side of life. And what fun would that be?

You were evil but a necessary one. Who's going to miss all those Kurds that you killed? Almost no one. They were just a bunch of goat-herders, anyway. Was there an Einstein among them? Hardly. Maybe another Marconi or James Joyce? I know, I know...don't make you laugh, right? You, of all people, knew that they were one step above mole rats on the evolutionary ladder.

And that was a minor bump on the highway to success. There were golden palaces to build, executions to videotape and parades to organize. Remember pushing all those dissidents off that three story building? Watching them up there; crying, wetting their pants, their wives and children at the bottom looking up at their loved ones about to fall to their deaths - it was priceless! I'll bet you still get a little chubby in your trousers just thinking about that. Of course who can forget the public whippings. Your chief torturer knew his trade inside and out. Remember how he would continually whip the infidel on the same side, on the exact same spot? It ensured that the infidel pig would feel maximum pain. Man you couldn't BUY entertainment like that!!!

People will remember you for all the atrocities that you committed but I, for one, will remember you for being a "stabilizing" force in your region of the world. They can criticize and deride your actions and policies but let's not judge you too hastily. Who can judge a man who hasn't walked a mile in that man's moccassins? Until your critics can say they have 10 golden palaces, $700 million in various world banks, and millions murdered for their own selfish political gain - let them keep their mouths shut!

We all know that George Bush and his cronies exaggerated many of your "crimes" in order to remove you from power so that they could get their greedy little hands on Iraqi oil reserves. Bush will be executed for his "war crimes" very soon, I can tell you that. I've seen the banter in the internet blogs. Centers of deep political thought and commentary like The Huffington Post and the DailyKOS all say that Bush is a war criminal; that he's even worse than you! Well Bush and Cheney's greed will be their undoing. There are countless lies and distortions circulating around the world. I found this one over at the Times of London website. What offal !

Saddam Hussein was a tyrant whose actions brought down unimaginable catastrophe on Iraq and its peoples. From an early age, he had enjoyed inflicted suffering on those around him and, when he came to positions of political power, those whom he could not force or corrupt into submitting to his will, he maimed, murdered or made to flee. He started two major international wars - one against Iran, the second as a result of aggression against Kuwait - which cost an estimated one million lives. He instituted genocidal campaigns against the Kurds in the north of Iraq and the Marsh Arabs in the south. Ruling through the Sunni minority of which he was a member, he ignored the claims of the country's majority Shia population.
The third war in the region - which brought him and his regime down - was not directly begun by him, but by apparent American - and British - fears of a perceived threat his arsenal of weapons posed to international security. This time Saddam misjudged the event - and certainly the American mood.
~ Times of London Obit

Well, that's all for now Chief of the Iraqi Mujahid Armed Forces and Supreme Leader and Commander Saddam Hussein al-Majid al-Tikriti. You are now a martyr and since you uttered the word "jihad" at your public execution, Alllah (may His Name be praised and exhalted for All time) will see fit to provide you with 72 virgins, to do with what you will. That doesn't seem like much since a Man like you could go through 72 virgins in about 5 days. But maybe Allah will sweeten the deal a little and take your title and position while on earth in to account.

Ever yours,
Rue St. Michel

Another Warren Commission lackey, dead at 93

Former president Gerald R. Ford is dead.

Ford_to_City

Although he'll be remembered as the guy who pardoned Richard M. Nixon, I'll always remember him as the person, while on the 3 man Warren Commission team sent to Dallas, who sat on his hands and refused to get Jack Ruby out of town where Ruby could be debriefed. Ruby was the keystone to that entire operation. He was the juncture where all the points of JFK's assassination came together. Ford, just like the rest of the Warren Commission, was seemingly uninterested in digging beneath the surface.

Ruby practically begged to be taken somewhere "safe" where he could shed light on the assassination. Ruby murdered Oswald in order to keep Oswald's mouth shut.

Years later it was revealed that Ford had fed top-secret Warren Commission documents over to the FBI in order to help bolster the FBI's view that Oswald was the sole assassin (see Plausible Denial by Mark Lane, pg. 43)

Ford was also eventually forced to admit that the Warren Report was fictionalized.

Back in that era, Politics was the operative word. Earl Warren, a congressman from California, had helped JFK on an election and was promised a spot on the Supreme Court as "payment" for his help. When the chief justice position opened up unexpectedly, Warren pushed JFK and Bobby Kennedy into appointing him as chief justice. Ford kept his mouth shut, played ball and joined in with his fellow commission members in making up the bullshit fantasy that Oswald was the lone gunman. For towing the "company" line and for being a good boy he was awarded the Vice-presidency. He eventually became president after Nixon was impeached.

So at a time when the truth about one of our nation's worst political events desperately needed to be uncovered, Ford and the others just laid over and did nothing to solve the crime that had occured.

And his most famous quip? -- "Our long national nightmare is now over." That was, of course, before Jimmy Carter was president. THAT was a 4 year nightmare that we're still paying the price for.

Police officer deaths up over 2005

AP reports that traffic related police officer deaths are up 16% for 2006. The report also notes that officers killed by gunfire are down 9%.

Police officers who can ticket you for not wearing a seat belt sometimes ditch their own restraints, a factor that may have contributed to a double-digit jump this year in law enforcement traffic fatalities, according to a new study.

According to preliminary statistics compiled through Monday, traffic fatalities claimed the lives of 73 of the 151 officers killed in 2006. This compares to 63 officers killed in traffic accidents in 2005, the groups said.

We've all worked with someone who doesn't wear his seatbelt. I always wear mine.

It always annoyed me when my partner wouldn't put his belt on. I would have to explain it to him that during a car accident in which we were hit from the side, the unbelted passenger would become a projectile.

A car accident, even at low speeds, could ruin your life. Why take the chance? You're more likely to be in a car accident as a police officer, than in a shooting.

If you're haphazard about wearing your belt, make it a New Years resolution to do so. There is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing your fellow officers being pulled out of a car wreck. If they were wearing their seatbelts, you can bet that they'll just be checked out at the hospital and released.

Stay safe!

Merry Christmas

To my devoted readers; my hard-working fellow Officers, and my dearest friends - I want to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Prosperous New Year for you and your families.

Like most of you, we'll be busy with family tonight at family get-togethers. So no blogging. For those of you who care, I'll be drinking two Cabernet Sauvignons tonight. One from Cellar8 (2003 California), and the other, an old standby in the Rue St. Michel cave: Valley of the Moon (2003 California).

It'll be followed up with an Acid blondie cigar about 10 O'clock.

Merry Christmas!

Dems have a lock on "Culture of Corruption"

Judicial Watch just announced its list of Washington's "Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians" for 2006.

Interesting to note, of these allegedly 16 Corrupt Officials listed, 5 out of 6 REPUBLICANS listed are no longer in office and are not in a position of power.

Of the DEMOCRATS listed, 8 out of 9 are still in Elected Office and are still in positions of power.

That scores the GOP with an 88.9% Removal rate. The Democrats have a dismal 11.1% Removal rate. Also suspect - Jack Abramoff, a Democrat, was not even named as one in the list.

Here is the list:

1. Jack Abramoff, Former Lobbyist – Abramoff is at the center of a massive public corruption investigation by the Department of Justice that, in the end, could involve as many as a dozen members of Congress. Abramoff pleaded guilty to conspiracy, fraud and a host of other charges on January 3, 2006, and was sent to prison in November to serve a five-year, 10-month sentence for defrauding banks of $23 million in Florida in 2000.

2. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) – In January 2006, Hillary Clinton's fundraising operation was fined $35,000 by the Federal Election Commission for failing to accurately report more than $700,000 in contributions to Clinton's Senate 2000 campaign. New information also surfaced in 2006 raising more questions about Hillary and her brother Anthony Rodham's connection to the Clinton Pardongate scandal, where presidential pardons were allegedly traded in exchange for cash and other favors.

3. Former Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-CA) – In November 2005, Cunningham pleaded guilty to federal charges of conspiracy to commit bribery, mail fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion. He was sentenced to 8 years, four months in prison and ordered to pay $1.8 million in restitution in March 2006.

4. Former Rep. Tom Delay (R-TX) – Tom DeLay, who was forced to step down from his position as House Majority Leader and then resign from Congress, decided in 2006 not to run for re-election. Congressman DeLay has been embroiled in a series of scandals from bribery to influence peddling, and was indicted twice by grand juries in Texas.

5. Former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) – Foley left the House in disgrace after news broke that he had been sending predatory homosexual emails to a House page. A recent House Ethics Committee report indicated that Republican leaders knew about Foley's dangerous behavior, but failed to take action. Democrats, meanwhile, shopped the story to the press to influence the elections. Outrageously, the Committee recommended no punishment for those involved.

6. Rep. Denny Hastert (R-IL) – In addition to mishandling the Foley scandal, outgoing House Speaker Dennis Hastert allowed House ethics process to ground to a halt on his watch. Gary Condit, Cynthia McKinney, William Jefferson, John Conyers, Tom Delay, Duke Cunningham, Jim McDermott, Patrick Kennedy are examples of alleged wrongdoers who faced little-to-no ethics enforcement in the House.

7. Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) – Hastings is one of only six federal judges to be removed from office through impeachment and has accumulated staggering liabilities ranging from $2,130,006 to $7,350,000. Hastings was "next in line" for Chairmanship of the House Select Committee on Intelligence until a wave of protest forced Nancy Pelosi to select another candidate. Nonetheless, Hastings is expected to continue to serve on the Intelligence Committee.

8. Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) – Jefferson is alleged to have accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes to help broker high-tech business deals in Nigeria. According to press reports, he was also caught on tape discussing the deals, while an FBI search of his home uncovered $90,000 in cash stuffed in his freezer.

9. Former Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH) – Ohio Republican Congressman Bob Ney resigned in early November 2006, three weeks after pleading guilty for accepting bribes from an Indian casino in exchange for legislative favors. Ney was the first congressman to be convicted of a crime in the web of scandals involving former lobbyist Jack Abramoff and is expected to serve a jail sentence.

10. Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) – Senator Reid came under fire in 2006 for failing to properly report to Congress a $700,000 land deal. Reid also accepted more than $30,000 of Abramoff-tainted money allegedly in return for his ''cooperation'' in matters related Nevada Indian gaming.

Dishonorable Mentions include:
1. Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) –
According to complaints released by the House Ethics Committee recently, aides to Representative John Conyers (D-MI) alleged their former boss repeatedly violated House ethics rules, forcing them to serve as his personal servants, valets, and as campaign staff while on the government payroll.

2. Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) – In May 2006, Kennedy crashed his car into a Capitol Hill barricade at nearly 3 a.m. in the morning. Kennedy blamed the incident on a reaction to prescription pills, but officers at the scene said he smelled of alcohol. Nonetheless, they escorted him home rather than arresting him.

3. Former Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) –
McKinney assaulted a Capitol Hill police officer in April after refusing to go through a metal detector. While McKinney was never forced to answer in a court of law for her behavior, she lost her bid for re-election in 2006.

4. Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) – Iraq war critic John Murtha was incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's first choice for House Majority Leader despite the ethical skeletons in his closet. Murtha is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1980 "Abscam" scandal, which included the arrest and convictions of a senator and six congressmen. Murtha, whose current ethics continue to be questioned, lost his bid for Majority Leader to Maryland Democrat Steny Hoyer.

5. Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) – News reports surfaced in 2006 that Illinois Senator Barak Obama entered into an unusual land deal with a now-indicted political fundraiser, Tony Rezko. The complicated real estate transaction occurred when it was widely known that Rezko was under federal investigation in a political corruption scandal.

6. David Safavian Former Bush Admin Official - Safavian, the former White House Chief of Procurement and former Chief of Staff for the General Services Administration, was indicted on September 19, 2006 on five counts of lying about his dealings with former lobbyist Jack Abramoff and obstructing a Senate investigation of his dealings. Safavian resigned from his White House position three days prior to his arrest.
"This list shows public corruption is endemic to our nation's capital and that the anti-corruption work of Judicial Watch is needed more than ever," stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "The list could be much longer, as there are far too many politicians who abuse the public trust and place themselves above the law."

Fat, drunk and lesbian is no way to go through life

Rosie O'donnell is finally getting a dose of her own medicine. After her recent criticisms of Donald Trump resulted in a verbal "bitch-slap" from The Donald, the "Queen of Nice" is being shown as anything but.

She said Trump's news conference with Conner, whose title was in jeopardy because of underage drinking, had annoyed her "on a multitude of levels" and that the twice-divorced Donald had no right to be a "moral compass" for the beauty queen.
"He inherited a lot of money," she said. "Wait a minute, and he's been bankrupt so many times where he didn't have to pay. ... I just think that this man is sort of like one of those, you know, snake oil salesmen in 'Little House on the Prairie.'"

~ Rosie O'donnell (formerly the 'Queen of Nice')

It's about time that someone stood up to this big-mouthed, liberal, know-nothing, gun-grabbing Hag. She is a slob. She is a loser and she deserves everything that's coming her way because she is absolutely uninformed about anything but her faded, homosexual agenda.

During the last September 11th rememberances, she made the statement that "radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America." Nobody ever calls her on her outrageous statements. Someone should have asked her how many "radical Christians" have murdered someone in the name of Jesus in the last 100 years? Answer: Zero. I'm still waiting to hear from her exactly how "radical Christianity" is more threatening to anyone, anywhere.

Most people know that she is one of the naive throng of Liberals who think that Guns Cause Crime and, if we just "got rid of all the guns" everything would be wonderful and we could sing songs together while holding hands and life would be happy and joyful and the birds would sing again and there would be no crime and ... blah....blah...blah.....

If you read the transcript of the Tom Selleck/Rosie interview, you can't help but understand that she is pitifully uneducated on what the real basis of crime is. She doesn't get it that registering handguns only helps if the person who registered the weapon actually committed the crime. She also doesn't understand that banning guns only helps the criminals - it disempowers the victims and increases crime. She cites a statistic that 500 children per year are killed with guns. That number is false. According to the the US Govt., the second leading cause of death of kids 5 and under are swimming pools (the number one cause are car accidents).

I'm happy to see that Trump is telling her like it is and not conforming to the nauseating PC fest that usually pervades the media.

I hope that the next time Trump comments publicly on her he looks directly into the camera and says,"Rosie .... Go fuck yourself."

Another Black Politician Victimized!

[hat tip: Michelle Malkin]

Marion Barry was arrested again. Story here.
He was stopped and arrested for driving on a suspended license. Of course, he's blaming the US Park Police of racial profiling and the DMV in D.C. of making a "clerical error" in suspending his license.

Uh, note to Mayor Barry: When you're arrested for DUI, they suspend your drivers license. What a complete ass this guy is. What I thought much more interesting was the list of articles on NBC4's website related to Marion Barry.

* November 14, 2006: Barry Pleads Not Guilty To DUI
* September 11, 2006: Marion Barry Detained By Police
* August 7, 2006: Barry Facing More Legal Woes
* May 12, 2006: Police: Former Mayor Fails Field Sobriety Test
* March 9, 2006: Marion Barry Sentenced On Tax Charges
* February 27, 2006: Barry Shows Off Gasifier Machine
* February 8, 2006: Federal Judge Postpones Barry Sentencing
* February 7, 2006: Marion Barry Heads Back To Court
* January 11, 2006: Marion Barry Fails Drug Test
* January 3, 2006: Marion Barry Robbed At Gunpoint
* November 11, 2005: Gasification Machine Removed From Anacostia Parking Lot
* November 10, 2005: Energy Machine Demonstration Held Without Fireworks
* November 10, 2005: D.C. Leaders Almost Go Toe-To-Toe
* October 28, 2005: Marion Barry Pleads Guilty To Tax Charges
* October 5, 2005: Mayor Offers Words Of Support For Barry
* October 4, 2005: Barry To Plead Guilty For Failing To File Tax Returns

Just another politician who can't take responsibility for his actions and, true to form, blames everyone and everything else for his miserable existence.

Here are some noteworthy Marion Barry-isms that he's spouted to the press over the years:
* "If you take out the killings, Washington actually has a very very low crime rate."
* "First, it was not a strip bar, it was an erotic club. And second, what can I say? I'm a night owl."
* "The brave men who died in Vietnam, more than 100% of which were black, were the ultimate sacrifice."
* "I am a great mayor; I am an upstanding Christian man; I am an intelligent man; I am a deeply educated man; I am a humble man."

You're a drug addicted libertine who has no business being in a leadership role.

Bending over for Illegals - Ignoring our own

This just in from the Rue Hot Desk: I couldn't resist posting this email.
I changed the number of illegals from "12 million" - which is extremely conservative - to 20 million. The 20 figure is generally considered more accurate.

medicare part D

5 million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan------they are old and confused. We are NOT going to grant them an extension.

However, 20 million illegal aliens are in our country and we are going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, have our teachers take 300 hours of ESL(English as a Second Language)
training at our expense, etc.

WE MUST REALLY DISLIKE OUR OLD PEOPLE......
OR WE MUST REALLY LOVE TACOS!!!

Don't forget to pay your taxes......20 million illegal aliens are depending on you!

Don't forget to tell your congressman how angry this makes you....oh what! That's right! They don't care....I keep forgetting that...

12 Days of Christmas

Remember how fresh and naive you were in 5th grade? Well thanks to Six Meat Buffet, you can revisit those halcyon days of yore - and - act just like a Dhimmicrat defeatist by playing the new Liberal Stratego. Makes a great gift for all your unhinged, Moonbat friends....

Well, we’ve got the new Stratego for Democrats - fight the War on Terror in the Dim-O-Crack tradition of undercutting, faux “supporting the troops” and a turncoat mainstream press! It worked in Vietnam, it can work in the War on Terror!

Appease, appease, blame your own troops, seek to understand your enemy, pull out, redeploy and self-destruct! It's so much fun!

Christmas greetings to the ACLU

Can you think of a more insidious and ruthless organization than the ACLU? Al-qaida comes to mind but they have AK-47s.

What the lickspittle totalitarian busybodies over at the ACLU are doing is nothing less than tear and rend the very fabric of our society. They'd like nothing better than to emasculate us into a "brave new world" - one in which religion and family have been exorcised and obliterated.

In the ensuing vacuum, they'd make sure that The State stepped in to take care of our every need. If Big Brother ever had a Legal Death Squad, it's the American Civill Liberties Union.

Since the ACLU's main mission is to blindly eliminate every Christian symbol and artifice from our everyday life, I think it would be an excellent idea to send them a Christmas card this year.

Here's their address:

ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York, NY 10004

Other sites are suggesting that you don't be rude or offensive but, I'd never censor you. Let loose! Express yourself! Tell them exactly how you feel (they won't read it anyway but it will sure make you feel good!).

And I hope someone like Joe Jackson gets an itchy trigger finger and goes down to personally deliver his Christmas card.

How Stupid is this?

How idiotic does this guy look? More lunacy from the followers of the Religion of Peace.

muslim photo op

Can you imagine if Muslim women are allowed to have their Identification photos taken while wearing the hajib, and walking around completely covered? Sounds like one big security risk to me.....

Romney gives cops a boost in immigration fight

Governor Mitt Romney signed a deal with the INS (ICE) which gives Massachusetts State Troopers training in arresting and deporting illegal aliens without a warrant.

Sadly it is being reported that the deal with be rescinded by incoming governor Deval Patrick.

With ICE sweeps netting almost 1,300 suspected illegals in North Dakota, Utah, Colorado, Minnesota and Iowa, it seems that Bush & Company are attempting to soften us up for Bush's big "Amnesty Initiative" (ie. No Illegal Left Behind) that he's likely to push through congress when the legislators reconvene in January of 2007.

It's being reported that a suburban police department arrested an illegal alien this week for identity theft after the victim made a report that his social security number had been used by the offender over a two year period. The victim discovered the problem when he was notified by the IRS that he owed $58,000 in back taxes.

The offender is being charged with a felony. It's about time that arrests are made in cases like this. Anyone who uses a false social security number should be arrested, charged and deported (if they're illegal).

It is heartening to see that illegals are finally getting the notoriety that they so richly deserve.

Obama's Ears are Off Limits

Poor, empty-skirt, Barack Obama .... he just can't get the RightWing intellectuals to understand him and his vapidly non-existent political platforms. In fact, the one thing he's being vocal about is ... of all things ... his ears.

Yes - poor BO was teased incessantly about his large, flappy ears by fellow school children.

obama_ears

The traumatic experiences shaped his early youth and pushed him into politics. The only arena in which his large, winglike appendages could be put to good use.

From El mahaRushBo's website:

OBAMA (off mic): You talked about my ears, and I just want to put you on notice: I'm very sensitive about -- What I told them was, ''I was teased relentlessly when I was a kid about my big ears.'"
DOWD (purring): We're trying to toughen you up.

Poor baby -- but even Achilles had his heel.

A somber Pearl Harbor rememberance

(I travelled to the Pearl Harbor memorial a few years ago. I had to suffer the indignity of being amongst a throng of Japanese while we cruised past the memorial. I wrote this afterwards. A family member of mine went to the memorial a few years later and read this outloud on the observation deck above the USS Arizona.)

USS_Arizona_MemorialPearl

Reply to Toge Sankichi's poem The Shadow (1945)

The boat carries us as it skips across the waves, heading toward
The memorial.

Japanese crowd me, jabbing with their elbows and cameras
Oblivious to the pain.

The ferry transports us to the wheat that is now chaff. I wear black. They wear Red, yellow and happy colors.

The metallic voice is sometimes drowned out by the wind. The breezes
Billowing the 3 flags.

The voice should be a dirge-it is anything but sorrowful. I see sorrow in the Faces of the Americans.

The small ship speaks in different tongues-English, Japanese and French.
…They can speak no longer.

The water sparkles as we speed toward our destination; the land floating by
Our left.

Water is not the proper place for them; the island cries for their flesh, as a mother calls for her children.

I look around as the chattering continues, we are the minority. Smiling, beaming oriental faces.

Click! Snap! They gesture loudly at the white monolith. The box squeals more
Japanese-

"Our hero fighters, claiming first blood against the Imperialistic American swine, sunk their lances deep.

We struck a blow against the round-eye Pacific fleet" - glory, all too
Fleeting.

I fight for a place at the rail. I must be invisible to them. Ghostly apparitions
Never to rise.

I was not there during the Big One. Only the grainy images seen in D-day films Of fallen Dunkirk and bloody beaches.

The white structure beckons all to look; to honor; to meditate on War, on
Futility.

They gawk and chatter like monkeys. Pointing and laughing. Their large teeth
Bared to the sky.

Proud, hawkish and righteous, they. Bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki thus, Leaving shadows.

The murky blue-green water is darkened with a shadow-the remnants of small
Men with small minds.

Who wreaked havoc throughout Asia-murdering, raping and looting. Victims whose voices are sometimes heard.

Tora-tora-tora! This Torii is one they do not recognize. Not a burial shrine but a
Marker for victory.

A sign in Japanese says "Memorial for those who gave their lives on the
Arizona"-

No effect. Their tiny chests swell with pride though mine too, but for a different
Ideal.

The Zeros that day dropped 500's and 1,000's and created Hell. Fire, blast and Heat cremated many. Smoke slowly stifling the majority.

Maybe it's better to be vaporized? A memory of your outline on a red brick wall.
Honored.

"ditat Deus "-does He? Buddhists know different-that we are all gods but this,
Disgrace.

"A plague upon your epileptic visage! Smile you my speeches, as I were a
Fool?"

A submarine breeches the surface and 9 lose their lives, while fishing. We'll
Probably erect a memorial to them now.

Big Brother gives us a collective Wedgie

I heard this story on Rush today and couldn't believe my ears. Apparently the Federal government discreetly disclosed to the Federal Register a few months ago that they've been actively tracking every traveler in the US and assigning "Risk Assessment" values on each "target" (ie. You.)

Without their knowledge, millions of Americans and foreigners crossing US borders in the past four years have been assigned scores generated by US government computers rating the risk that the travellers are terrorists or criminals.
The travellers are not allowed to see or directly challenge these risk assessments, which the government intends to keep on file for 40 years.
The government calls the system critical to national security following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Some privacy advocates call it one of the most intrusive and risky schemes yet mounted in the name of anti-terrorism efforts.

I'm not a libertarian : I certainly prefer order over chaos. I don't mind paying my taxes and putting up with some small inconveniences if those inconveniences enhance my safety. I also don't believe the nonsense of the New World Order, Illuminati, Skull & Bones, Freemasons-are-taking-over-the-world sect. But now this program will monitor email and cellular phone call information and dossiers will be kept on each and every man, woman and child.

big_brother

The wonderful, all-knowing Federal government took away the ability of our Tac and Gang teams in the 1980's to keep "books" on all the gangbangers that they were tracking ... how come that is wrong and this new program is right? (Sidenote: I wish to God that some day they officially categorize gangmembers as Terrorists ... that would open up a whole new horizon of opportunities in fighting these jagoff gang members.)

I want to know when this new program will begin to track and deport illegal aliens. Let's throw some of the program's resources in that direction. We're already committed to spending upwards of $5 billion on just the fence! Let's put some money into shipping back the illegals who are sapping our economy.

Here's the story, here's the link over at "El MahaRushBo's site.

How to think like a liberal

UPDATE: The link to the LibTard's article is fixed. Thanks SCC! Since there is about 5 inches of snow on the ground, with a sheer layer of underlying ice, don't drive anywhere until the salt trucks make it down your street. Stay warm and hydrate with lots of coffee today!

SCC wrote about this over the summer but I think it is time to readdress the issue.

It is one of the best and, most ridiculous, examples of LibTard behavior that I've ever seen. Here's the link.

I pulled up to the stop light the other night. It was a crisp summer night. I rubbed the side of my head. My finger rested in a small dent and my mind went back to a night many years ago.
I had pulled up to the same stop light and three boys, ages 10 or 11, called to me through the open windows. "Please, we need a ride. We don't know what to do. Our home is just a mile or two down the road."
I was in Oak Park. Just a mile or two down the road was Chicago's Austin neighborhood-not a safe place to be at 11 p.m. on a Friday.
But I looked at the boys-they looked much like my son when he wanted something, with those beautiful, big pleading eyes. What were they doing out so late? Where were the people in their lives who cared?
I invited them into the van, drove on and began chatting. "Tell me your names, boys. How old are you?"
Slowly, I coaxed their stories out. I was excited to hear about the books they liked, the teachers they didn't. I barely noticed where the car was heading.
"Boys, where are your folks? Where are we going?"
My questions were ignored. Red flags went up. But I hoped I was wrong. We arrived at the second address they gave me and the boys got out.
One boy stood near my door. He had a deep scar over his eye running down the side of his face and etched into his left temple. I stroked his close-cropped hair. "Boys, there has to be some adult somewhere where I can take you. We have to find someone who cares and I need to take you there. I have to go home to my boys."
The boy with the scar closed his eyes and leaned into my strokes. At this point, three other boys appeared. Then I knew it was too late. Both the car doors were open and one of the boys leaned into the driver's side. I had already locked my purse into my seat belt-something I do naturally when I get into the car. The boy tried to unlock the seat belt. I looked at him. "Don't do this boys. I know you're good people."
One of the boys looked at the third one in the car. "Don't do her," he said. "She was nice to us. Let her go."
The little boy with the scar reached in and punched the side of my head. It wasn't a hard punch. He looked at me and he looked confused. But with the second punch he forgot sentiment-he threw three more punches at my face. Another boy tried to grab the keys. "Get her car," another boy said. I had one thought: I'm going to die if I stay here.

Her first mistake was calling them "boys" - that sounds so innocent, so playful and, given her surroundings, so idiotic. It's just a shame that there was an opportunity for these poor "boys" from Austin to remove one more LibTard from the planet.

Well when the Libs aren't out endangering their own lives with their naivete, they're enacting laws that put us all at risk.

Black Panthers are painters

There is a price to pay for NOT having cable or satellite television in your home. I have neither, thus I'm at the beck and whim of the local television affiliates.

There are some stellar examples of bad tv on nowadays. The Mary Tyler Moore show, Good Times, Sanford & Son, and King of Queens were bad enough during prime time but to rehash them is an injustice. I had the misfortune of landing on the Tavis Smiley show. You'd think that that was bad enough. This guy has an agenda that is about as hidden as a missile silo in a corn field.

Tonight's guest was an eloquent professor from the State University of New York at Stonybrook. He wrote a book about black activism in the 1960's. So far, so good. My jaw dropped when he made this comment about the Black Panthers: "So when you have somebody like Stokely Carmichael saying hell, no, we won’t go. And remember, the Panthers are like surrealist painters, actually trying to will a world that they don’t see in existence into being."

Oh I see. The panthers weren't violent anarchists with a penchant for murder. Silly me. They were just, well like, painters. Sure - they enjoyed painting the streets of Chicago, St. Paul and New York with the blood of innocent victims. They killed police officers and relished in the power and greed that their viscious natures caused in the news media and elsewhere. With their black berets and camouflage uniforms, they made a mockery of real heroes - the Green Berets.

Just another apologist for the Left who's using race to line his own pockets. And why not? It has worked wonders for Louie Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and other race-baiting miscreants. I wonder how these people sleep at night. This guy is banking on the fact that no one will remember, nor care, what the groups like the Panthers were really all about. The old-time coppers can tell you the real story.

And it ain't pretty.

The REAL story of Thanksgiving

This year we all have much to be thankful for ... both in our homes and in the public arena. It's a busy time for everyone - shopping, cooking, travelling, and all the attendant obligations. Take a moment to breath a prayer of thanks to your version of God for your loved ones, for our troops, our police officers and for our country.

thanksgiving

Chris Hitney 'crashed' another party! At least she wore green to match the ensemble of her hosts.

Here's the real story of Thanksgiving ... courtesy of Rush Limbaugh.

From the sublime to the absurd, check out this goof.

Teacher Bill Morgan walks into his third-grade class wearing a black Pilgrim hat made of construction paper and begins snatching up pencils, backpacks and glue sticks from his pupils. He tells them the items now belong to him because he "discovered" them.
The reaction is exactly what Morgan expects: The kids get angry and want their things back.
Morgan is among elementary school teachers who have ditched the traditional Thanksgiving lesson, in which children dress up like Indians and Pilgrims and act out a romanticized version of their first meetings.
He has replaced it with a more realistic look at the complex relationship between Indians and white settlers.

Another LibTard teacher brainwashing your kids into the liberal paradigm of "White=Bad, Minority=Good." Our educational system is full of these nauseating birkenstock-wearing idiots. The lesson he's putting through is white men arrived, stole everything, murdered and claimed the land for themselves.

Now is that exactly accurate? Not really. What about the atrocities on the Indian's side? Why doesn't he dress like an Indian and while the little kids take their naps, he could drag 7 or 8 of them silently out of the room so that when the others woke up they could recognize that the Indians decimated the ranks of settlers through murder and wholesale slaughter. Up until about the 1890's, Indians in Minnesota and the Dakotas were actively murdering white settlers in those regions. The US Post Office was intercepting outbound letters from settlers back to their homeland and censoring any mention of Indian massacres because the US gov't didn't want to hinder european immigration.

On to a sunnier topic: My wine suggestion this year. It is a delicious pinot blanc from Valley of the Moon winery (Sonoma, CA)

Slante!

Obama illusion syndrome

OIS. It sounds like a new acronym for erectile dysfuntion. It really sucks if your name happens to be ED.

What it stands for is Obama Illusion Syndrome. It is the disease that affects more "sensitive" or "liberal" types. The insidious disease begins by destowing the afflicted with high levels of euphoria. As the disease progresses, the person's higher brain functions begin to deteriorate - eventually leading to higher taxes, activist courts bypassing the majority's desires and, overall bigger government.

But I digress.

Barack Obama's freefall into the national political limelight - all for having nothing more than write two books about himself, and by voting for almost every left-of-center center issue in the US Senate - is really a reflection of the Democratic National Committee's collective anxiety.

As Byron York points out in the November 20 issue of National Review [subscription required], the Democrats are pushing Barack Obama because they're "really, really nervous about Hillary Clinton."

Time's Joe Klein called him [Obama] "the political equivalent of a rainbow - a sudden preternatural event inspiring awe and ecstasy."
~ Byron York National Review;

That is with good reason. Even with all of Hillary's "branding", money, enormous organizational structure and name recognition - there's no getting around it; She's going to have some very big branches blocking her climb up to the US presidency in '08.

As I wrote in a prior posting on Obama this guy is doing nothing but putting his face out in the media but giving and taking no positions that would be considered "controversial." No one in the MSM is interested in asking him any tough or complex questions, no one is playing hardball with him and no one seems to notice that he's just a cookie-cutter of Bill Clinton from the 1992 campaigns. Look how they're setting you up with the same non-sense and empty rhetoric that Bill Clinton fed us after he got elected:

Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us -- the spin masters, the negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of "anything goes." Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America -- there is the United States of America. There is not a Black America and a White America and Latino America and Asian America -- there's the United States of America.
~ Barack Obama, keynote address 2004

Tonight every one of you knows deep in your heart that we are too divided. It is time to heal America. And so we must say to every American: Look beyond the stereotypes that blind us. We need each other - all of us - we need each other. We don’t have a person to waste, and yet for too long politicians have told the most of us that are doing all right that what’s really wrong with America is the rest of us- them. Them, the minorities. Them, the liberals. Them, the poor. Them, the homeless. Them, the people with disabilities. Them, the gays. We’ve gotten to where we’ve nearly them'ed ourselves to death. Them, and them, and them. But this is America. There is no them. There is only us.
~ Bill Clinton acceptance speech, 1992

In short he [Obama] has done nothing at all. His only qualifications for the White House are his skin and the fact that he is not a rapper. Americans yearn to vote for such a person: The Colin Powell boomlet of 1995 wsa fueled by little else, although he had been chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. America's obsession with race is odd, and opportunists manipulate it for this own advantage.
~~ National Review "The Week"

"Obamaniacs" like to say that Obama has a "compelling life story" but his biography is anything but compelling. He didn't have to overcome any great obstacles. In fact, growing up in Hawaii, he eventually attended an elite prep school. The guy over at RealClearPolitics writes - I cheer also because Obama is an African-American -- an African father, an American mother. For someone like him to be a presidential candidate -- maybe even president -- says oodles about this country.

I think it speaks volumes that his black father ditched him and Obama's mother when Obama was 2 years old. A black man abandoning his family? Gee that hardly ever happens. And why is it that being black is an important element to being a good president? So that he take point at getting reparations for his constituents?

As York points out, Obama has never had to endure a political crucible of fire. He walked into the legislature and it's been easy street ever since. He'd be a stronger candidate if he had. If he stays in the race, it is a sure thing that the Republicans in '08 are going to slice him up like a block of deli meat.

He better be ready because the straw man is ready to burn.

Political Correctness hits the Chicago Police

A confidential source informed me of some holiday controversy over at Grand & Central.

The rank and file patrol officers who work in the 25th district were abuzz yesterday when they started to notice that the Christmas tree in the lobby was gone. In its place was a hand-written placard pleading for the return of the "holiday tree".

The Christmas tree was placed in the lobby to support a children's charity. Paper stars on the tree could be picked up by officers or court personnel and a donation in the child's name could be made. There was never any mention of "Christmas" in or around the tree.

Why is this tree being selected for removal? Who knows. Every year an inflatable Santa is erected in the lobby, complete with Christmas lights and decorations. None of that was ever contested, nor removed.

But yesterday a 2nd watch supervisor ordered a subordinate to remove the tree, for unknown reasons. The supervisor happens to be of the jewish persuasion. Officers wonder whether a Menorah, placed in the lobby, would have suffered the same ill-treatment.

At a time when New Breed and Gangster Disciple gang members are targeting Chicago Police officers for murder, one wonders where this supervisor's priorities are.

It is a sad day when political correctness run-amok begins to sully the honorable halls of the Chicago Police department.

Cop murderer gets appeal

The scumbag animal who was convicted of murdering Trooper James Gross, has been allowed to have his death sentence reviewed by another court because a judge ruled that a juror had a "bias towards the death penalty."

The good news is that the convicted murderer of Officer Gross is only having his sentence reviewed - so the worst is that he'll do life in prison, or better - he'll be put down like a rabid dog.

Either way this savage killed that officer in 1996 and has had 10 years of writing letters, watching tv, seeing movies, exercising, eating 3 meals a day, playing cards, talking to his loved ones, interacting with other people and walking in the warm sunshine.

The officer's friends and family have had 10 years of loss, pain and grief.

My sincerest wish is that the reconvened jury gives this guy a death sentence - he deserves nothing less.

Here is the link to the news story.

Terrorists, Democrats - Is there a difference?

Al-Qaida's top terrorist, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, claimed in an audio tape that Al-Qaida was directly responsible for the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld and the defeat of the Republicans at the polls.

"We haven't had enough of your blood yet," he taunted in the recorded message. He mocked President Bush as a coward whose conduct of the war was rejected at the polls, challenging him to keep U.S. troops in the country to face more bloodshed.

Just as rightwing bloggers and military experts have been saying, our enemy is sophisticated and follows our news media.

The terrorist leader boasted that al-Qaida in Iraq is moving toward victory faster than expected because of Bush's mistakes.
Al-Muhajir praised the American people for handing victory to the Democrats, saying: "They voted for something reasonable in the last elections."

He also said Bush was "the most stupid president" in U.S. history.
"We call on the lame duck not to hurry his escape the way the defense secretary did," al-Muhajir said in reference to Rumsfeld's resignation as Pentagon chief on Wednesday.

"Remain steadfast on the battlefield, you coward," said al-Muhajir, who took over leadership of al-Qaida in Iraq after Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a U.S. airstrike in June."We will not rest from our jihad (holy war) until we are under the olive trees of Rumieh and we have blown up the filthiest house — which is called the White House," al-Muhajir said.

Al-Muhajir also told Iraqi Sunnis to ally with a shadowy mini-state that militants claim to have established last month under a man identified as Abu Omar al-Baghdadi.

"I vow allegiance to you," he said, addressing al-Baghdadi as the "ruler of believers " and placing al-Qaida in Iraq fighters under his command.

The Democrats don't care that they're playing right into the hands of our enemies because they're so blinded with hate for George Bush that anything that puts a hole in the administration's boat is sanctioned by them. The only problem is that we're all in the same boat and we're all going to sink if we let up in Iraq and let our enemy think that he's winning.

Sadly he already thinks he's winning. All Al-Qaida has to do is read the NYTimes or the LATimes and they'll see that our media is firmly on the side of the "insurgents". According to the Wall Street Journal, our media has been very busy highlighting our troubles and downplaying our successes:

Between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, 2005, nearly 1,400 stories appeared on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening news. More than half focused on the costs and problems of the war, four times as many as those that discussed the successes. About 40% of the stories reported terrorist attacks; scarcely any reported the triumphs of American soldiers and Marines. The few positive stories about progress in Iraq were just a small fraction of all the broadcasts.
When the Center for Media and Public Affairs made a nonpartisan evaluation of network news broadcasts, it found that during the active war against Saddam Hussein, 51% of the reports about the conflict were negative. Six months after the land battle ended, 77% were negative; in the 2004 general election, 89% were negative; by the spring of 2006, 94% were negative. This decline in media support was much faster than during Korea or Vietnam.

It's no wonder that Al-Qaida thinks that all it has to do is sit back and wait. Our very own media is busy fighting on Al-Qaida's behalf.

It seems to be working.

They're just here to work

...savagely murdered by an illegal alien....

God rest her soul. May God keep these animals on the other side of the border where they belong.

Special shouts out to Josh, Danien, Dan, Phil and George - "1, 2, 3, 4 - I love the Marine Corps!"

MSM bagmen for DNC

The New York Times finally, albeit inadvertently, admits to being the lickspittle for the Democratic party. While Pelosi, Emanuel and the rest of the DNC moonbat goofs continue to crow and gloat over their victory, you wonder how could such an empty, platitude-rich platform of nothing carry an election? Well we can now see what really pulled the Democrats over the victory line.

On a warm night in mid-September, Representative Rahm Emanuel, the Illinois Democrat leading his party’s campaign to win back the House, stood in front of I Ricchi, a stylish Italian restaurant in downtown Washington, screaming at an aide who happened to be in his sight.
Why, he demanded, had Iraq fallen off the front pages and the evening news, replaced by President Bush’s weeklong commemoration of the Sept. 11 anniversary? How could Democrats win if this unpopular war was fought uncovered? As he headed in for dinner, he pronounced himself as despondent about his party’s hopes as he had been all year.
Two weeks later, the political world had turned, propelled by new bursts of violence in Iraq, new questions about incompetence in the waging of the war in Iraq, and an intelligence report suggesting that the American invasion had actually worsened the terrorist threat.
As Republicans and Democrats reviewed the outcome of a midterm election yesterday that upended political power in Washington, they pointed to this span of time as the most critical period of the campaign.

~NYTimes, "Democrats turn War in ally" 09Nov06

Did you catch that? Emanuel is the puppet-master of the New York Times senior editors. He can call what gets on the front page of the Old Gray Lady. That shows you how embedded the major newspapers are with the Democratic party and the peripheral NutRoots fringe.

This NYTimes story offers us a snapshot, a glimmer, into what's really going on within the Drive-by Media. Whatever the Leftists want to push, gets pushed. Anything that shows Republicans in a favorable light, anything that shows patriotism, nationalism, good stories about the War, or positive aspects to George W. Bush - all get buried or ignored. The media's bias and agenda driven news stories are not passive; theirs is a proactive agenda that seeks to pass its political messages off as objective news.

stretch pelosi

It is frankly outrageous that the news continues to deny that they operate on a blatant liberal agenda -- I wouldn't really mind much if they would just cop to it and quit acting like we don't have eyes to see and ears to hear. It's a slap in the face. The NYTimes slogan should be : "All the bias that we see fit to print." Forget putting clarity and objectivity into their faux-news articles ... it's all about bringing down their enemies and helping their friends.

What is it about the voters of Illinois that they could be so uniformed and gullible to vote into office the likes of Rahm Emanuel, Dick Durbin and Barak Obama? Is it just a function of the Crook county machine? Probably. You can't put it all down to the antics of Cook County Democrats; Downstaters though fell hook-line & sinker for Durbin's outright lies during the senate race against Al Salvi. Durbin even had the audacity to run on a pro-Life platform (he's since "seen the light" and is now and openly avowed "pro-Choicer").

But what are the Democrats really going to do for us? Nothing outside of raising taxes, opening the borders to illegals, expanding their government programs, appointing liberal activist judges and slowly etching away our freedoms through their totalitarian agenda of appeasement, political correctness and cultural diversity. Oh, I forgot - they're going to "restore integrity and honesty" in Washington.

"Democrats promise to work in a bipartisan way for all Americans," Pelosi told an ecstatic crowd. "We are prepared to govern. And we will do so working together with the administration and Republicans in Congress in partnership, not partisanship. Americans voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington, DC, and Democrats intend to lead the most honest, open and ethical Congress in history."
~ Nancy Pelosi, "The Australian news"

This coming from the crowd comprised of such honest and trustworthy folks as William Jefferson (D-La.), Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ.), Senator Torricelli (D-NJ.) and Congressman John Murtha (D-PA.) (an unindicted co-conspirator in the ABSCAM FBI sting operation). The only reason Murtha wasn't indicted was because fellow Pennsylvania Congressman Bailey (D-PA.) "saved his ass" from the Feds by interceding on Murtha's behalf during the investigation.

As a sidebar to how the media handles Democrats and Republicans differently, see this story on the Torricelli scandal. The idiot over at the Daily Kos writes that the AP reporter who covered the Torricelli story is a "partisan fraud", "wingnut" who did a "hatchet job" on the senator. You can only have an agenda if you're a Conservative, a Christian or a Republican. Otherwise you're above such monikers.

So there's little doubt that the next two years are going to be rough. The Democrats are already gloating about initiating impeachment hearings against the president, they're going to try to dismantle the Republican immigration reform plan and they're going to raise your taxes. It's like my buddy Dan Szalkus said, "The American voters who elected the Democrats are like people who forgot how a hangover feels so they go out and drink like a sailor on shore leave." After 6 years of sobriety, the American voters chugged down the Kool-Aid and EverClear like a couple of Appalachian moonshiners. It's going to be all headache, nausea and pain over the upcoming two years. Sadly we won't remember having any fun while we danced.

08 November 2006

The Ides of .... November?

With the midterm bloodbath finally over and the Democrats sweeping to victory, I can only say that I'm not surprised. I'm alittle disappointed but overall I'm glad that the Dems swept. At least some sort of message will get through to the embattled United States President, the Honorable George W. Bush.

"El RushBo" Limbaugh echoes my sentiments on the elections:

The way I feel is this: I feel liberated, and I'm going to tell you as plainly as I can why. I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don't think deserve having their water carried. Now, you might say, "Well, why have you been doing it?" Because the stakes are high. Even though the Republican Party let us down, to me they represent a far better future for my beliefs and therefore the country's than the Democrat Party and liberalism does.

While I can't say that I've been "carrying the water" for Bush and his administration, I can say that in hindsight there were some niggling doubts about where I thought the administration's loyalties were. Yesterday Bush was asked about how he felt now about his immigration policy. He perked up and became excited when he said, "Yes, I think we have a better chance of getting immigration reform now with a Democrat-controlled Congress."

The only thing stopping full fledged amnesty for illegals was a Republican controlled congress. Well you can forget immigration enforcement. This putz just got his ass handed to him in an election and he blindly trudges on into handing our country over to illegal aliens. He apparently doesn't care that they're bankrupting our social programs, medical facilities, social security, and municipalities.

The problem with the Republican leadership is that they ignored and continue to dismiss their bases' views and wishes. Bush moved away from the conservative principles that got him into office. The Big Government, the big spending the out of control social program spending .. spend...spend...spend...spend....This guy is worse than LBJ !

An additional problem which you can lay at Bush's feet is his ineptness in communicating to the public. Besides the southern twang and malapropisms, he just never stepped out and told us what the hell was going on in Iraq. The White House went dark for a long time - even while the Left was hurtling grenades at it and attacking it with all types of asinine accusations. And the White House just sat there and took it all without counter-attacking the idiotic afronts. When we wanted to hear positive stories about Iraq, all we heard was "comprehensive immigration reform". When we wanted to know more about domestic surveillance and the FISA courts, all we heard from Bush was "social security reform."

As a registerd Republican it has been a damn frustrating 6 years.

Maybe Bush will start doing something about his image and begin giving us the information that we need to feel like we, as United States citizens, are just as important as your run-of-the-mill Illegal alien. Bush seems to think that there is no difference.

If you don't vote, the terrorists win

Right after the 9/11 murders, many people used the tragedy to inspire civic action - "If you stay home and don't spend money, the terrorists win!"

It even went to the absurd.

Overheard at a smokey bar one late Friday night:
Man:"Why don't you come home with me?"
Woman:"Uh, I don't think so."
Man:"If you don't sleep with me, the terrorists win."

But tomorrow's midterm vote could, indeed, help the terrorists win if you don't get out there and take 10 minutes to vote.

For every Republican who stays home, it is a vote for the Democrats. And what will we get if they get into office? Here's a list:

* More taxes

* More "rights" for terrorists

* More social security and other welfare benefits for illegals

* More legislating from the bench - more activist judges passing laws that veer farther and farther away from our Constitution.

* Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Dick Durbin, Chuck Schumer, Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton

So just go out there and vote. Your country is depending upon you.

A Brave New Islamic World

A chilling prediction over at Ttueoop blog from an anonymous contributor:

What will Europe look like when Muslims assume control? Using the past history of 1,300 hundred years Muslim raids and wars, conquests and subjugations of Infidels as a guide, I expect great slaughter, looting, rape and destruction, with Christian religious and cultural targets to be especially hard hit—defiled or destroyed. Those European Infidels who survive the initial conquests can look forward to a life as a semi-slave, a “dhimmi”; without any real rights, unable to testify in court, forced to pay a huge annual “protection tax,” the “jizya,” women will become property. The art, philosophy, music, science and other cultural hallmarks that defined European culture will be banned and a great pall of stagnation will envelop Europe—think Afghanistan under the Taliban. A new dark age will settle over Europe and even if, sometime in the future, it is lifted, Europe as we know it will be irretrievably lost.

Sounds about right with EurAbia's current self implosions because of political correctness, cultural diversity and moral equivalence. Europe's libraries, churches and synogogues will be burned to the ground. The Eiffel tower will be blown up like a Buddhist statue. Pogroms and mock-trials will take the place of rational justice - where people will be accused of 'defaming Islam" and will be summarily executed.

God help us. The Religion of Peace is anything but peace-filled.

Another MSM angle on Withdrawal

Today's Tribune carries an article in the Perspective section, written by Jeremy Manier, that shows just how desperate and out of touch the Liberals in the media are in regards to the War in Iraq.

Speaking of Perspective, it appears that Jeremy and his Tribune cronies have little or none of that precious commodity.

Back in the early 70's the radical Left had created a formidable wedge in the fabric of American society, pushing us to the brink of civil war. The issue that most garnered national attention was their opposition to the war in Vietnam. Culling tropes from Marxist propaganda handbooks, the demonstrators called the action in Vietnam an "act of American Imperialism." The radicals claimed that we didn't belong there; that it was an internal Vietnamese civil issue. After all, the French couldn't maintain a foothold there and were soundly trumped off the continent.

The slogans of the time were ubiquitous - "Hell No - We Won't GO!", "Make Love, Not War!", "Flower Power"; were just a few of the empty platitudes that Leftists simply love to project on to their hapless listeners. The slogans filled mingled in the air with the rich smell of marijuana and hashish.

The Leftists were short-sighted and uninformed about the reasons we were in Vietnam. With China supplying the NVA with arms and resources, it appeared that China was going to add another satellite country to its arsenal. Strategists in Washington envisioned the Chinese as crawling across the asian continent, gobbling up swaths of real estate and establishing a Communist powerhouse in conjunction with the Soviets. They were scary times. The cold war combined with nuclear obliteration added up to a threat that the US could ill-afford to ignore.

We made mistakes in Vietnam, especially after Lydon B. Johnson took over the reins of command and control. Battlefield commanders in Vietnam were told to "just bring in a body count, and weapons confiscation numbers." The strategy became a numbers game - not a goal to achieve victory. After we abandoned South Vietnam to the NVA, 1 million people were murdered.

And an even important lesson we learned from Vietnam is that our enemies now know that, by using the US media, they can influence our own domestic policies. In a letter from Al-quaeda's Ayman al-Zawahri who wrote a letter to his top deputy in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. "The aftermath of the collapse of American power in Vietnam – and how they ran and left their agents – is noteworthy. . . . We must be ready starting now." Our enemies now know that all they have to do is turn a few news outlets toward their favor and public opinion will start doing the enemy's dirty work for them.

The Media has tried to pull the tired 60's slogans out of retirement to work public opinion but, thankfully, most people aren't that gullible nor naive. So the Tribune tries to present the Iraq "quagmire" as boardroom fiscal exercise. You have to hand it to the article's author, Jeremy Manier. He tries to pull off a quantifiable - almost academic - examination of why we shouldn't be in Iraq.

But his comparison's are laughable.

He begins with the presupposition that our presence in Iraq is a mistake and an abject failure. By what criteria does he make this misguided assessment? He never says. But if you look at the stories coming out of the MSM, it sure does look like we're losing over there. But the absence of success stories coming out of Iraq doesn't mean that there aren't any - it just means that the MSM's agenda of "doom & gloom" has no quarter for stories about how well we're doing over in Iraq.

He claims that we should be doing "cost-benefit analysis" on the war. Equating money spent with soldiers lives, he writes "Ideally, economists say, prior investments--whether of money or soldiers' lives--should not affect decisions about the future. The only thing that should matter is whether the future benefits of a choice will justify its total cost.

What Manier misses in his exegesis is that we're fighting the Islamic jihadists over in Iraq so that we don't have to fight them here. Back in the 1960s, there was no chance of a group of Vietnamese coming to the US to fly commercial jetliners into buildings in downtown Manhattan. That was a localized conflict, this battle with Islamic extremists is worldwide. Iraq was recognized as a central hub of Islamic jihadists and we were right to go in there and eliminate as many of them as we could. This is a new kind of conflict, one which we've never seen before. It calls for different tactics and new innovations in how we conduct the war.

The reason why this war is being cast in the light of Vietnam is that our Liberal intelligensia are busy demonizing our president, his staff, his policies and our interests overseas. They are taking the side of the "freedom fighters" in an attempt to dethrone and disempower the White House. They're busy bestowing "human rights" on the terrorists where none should be given. They want terrorists to have rights under the Geneva Convention; they want, and have, given the terrorists confidential information about our surveillance techniques and operations; they have gone to the wall on behalf of these murderous savages - all in the name of "freedom of the press" and "human rights."

What the MSM glosses over are the rights of the average American citizen to be safe.

So, nice try Jeremy. This is not a sterile experiment on supply-side economics - it is war. It is bloody, dirty and necessary. You and your ilk in the press sit around at your cocktail parties, chortling over the latest book by Noam Chomsky, but don't understand that by hindering our military operations, you're helping the very people who want to kill you simply because you're a kaffir. By saying we should cut our losses if our "target slips away" boils this conflict down to numbers, goals and budgets. It cannot, in all honesty, be confined to such narrow restraints. Of course, the author of the article portrays Bush as someone who is committed to staying in Iraq, at all costs, and is invested his own self-worth in the war, with the attendant position that no matter how bad it gets Bush won't back down.

How droll and transparent. It is no wonder that newspapers across the country are losing readership. It is this kind of "reporting" that the average American can see right through in an instant.

Indeed, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. It is minimally a character defect.

2,500 Cops wounded in France by Muslims

The Action Police trade union (FOP) in France says that 2,500 police officers have been wounded by Muslim extremists. The Muslims attack the officers in large groups - using bats, pipes, molotov cocktails and rocks.

Michel Thoomis, the secretary general of the hardline Action Police trade union, has written to Mr Sarkozy warning of an "intifada" on the estates and demanding that officers be given armoured cars in the most dangerous areas.

He said yesterday: "We are in a state of civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists. This is not a question of urban violence any more, it is an intifada, with stones and Molotov cocktails. You no longer see two or three youths confronting police, you see whole tower blocks emptying into the streets to set their 'comrades' free when they are arrested."

A few days ago 3 officers were savagely attacked by a group of 30 Muslim men who poured out of a building to assist a Muslim man who was being arrested by the 3 officers. One officer sustained a 20 stitch cut on his head and another lost most of his teeth during the melee.

The answer to this problem is obvious.

DA hasn't interviewed accuser yet in Duke case

The DA in the Duke LaCrosse rape case confessed today in open court that he hasn't interviewed the accuser in the case yet.

DURHAM, N.C. - The district attorney prosecuting three Duke lacrosse players accused of raping a woman at a team party said during a court hearing Friday that he and his assistants haven’t interviewed the accuser about the facts of the case.

They have only spoken to the woman to monitor her well being, Mike Nifong said, and have left the investigation of the case to police.
“I’ve had conversations with (the accuser) about how she’s doing. I’ve had conversations with (the accuser) about her seeing her kids,” Nifong said. “I haven’t talked with her about the facts of that night. ... We’re not at that stage yet.”

What does he mean he's not at that stage yet? He's indicted, tried and hung these kids out to dry without interviewing the whore- um, stripper yet? These guys have even submitted DNA samples that didn't match any of the samples taken off the whore stripper.

WTF? How can the judge in the case allow this to happen?

It sounds like this DA is an incompetent boob who decided that the kids were guilty and used the case to garner himself some national attention.

Those LaCrosse players should sue DA Nifong for civil rights violations.

Benefit for Naperville Police Officer

*-* I'm keeping this up at the top of the blog until the benefit is over*-*-*

Officer Greg Rink is a 6 year veteran Police Officer with the Naperville Police Department. In June of this year, Greg suffered a severe injury which nearly left him paralyzed. As a result of this injury, Greg has undergone significant and extensive surgery to his spinal cord and neck area, which has caused him to be off of work for an extended period of time. Greg has exhausted all of his vacation and sick time, and unfortunately has not received a paycheck in over 2 months.

It is currently unknown when or if Greg will be able to return to his normal duties. Greg is just like the rest of us with financial responsibilities such as a car and a mortgage.

Design change

The Sith Lord has decided to make some format changes to the blog. Nothing big but just some new Logo/Branding changes. I wanted the design layout to match the edginess in my writing lately. I thought the site should be tied more into an archetype of St. Michael and all that that stands for in respect to police officers and the battles we are dealing with as a country.

If you notice that the page loads too slowly (especially those of you with dial-up) please let me know. Comments are always welcome - complimentary and otherwise.

Australian Mufti: "Women are Meat."

Australia's Grand Mufti, Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali said that the 9 Lebanese men who were convicted of the infamous Sydney Gang Rapes were not entirely to blame for their crimes.
The cleric said that there were women who "sway suggestively" and wore make-up and immodest dress ... "and then you get a judge without mercy (rahma) and gives you 65 years".

Sheik Hilali said: "If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it ... whose fault is it, the cats or the uncovered meat?

"The uncovered meat is the problem."

The sheik then said: "If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab, no problem would have occurred."
He said women were "weapons" used by "Satan" to control men.
"It is said in the state of zina (adultery), the responsibility falls 90 per cent of the time on the woman. Why? Because she possesses the weapon of enticement (igraa)."

Here is a transcript of an interview by Australia's version of 60 minutes with 2 of the 4 victims of these vicious attacks. You can see how these teenage girls were kidnapped and transported to various locations and repeatedly and savagely gang-raped.

At one point one of the Lebanese rapists said,"You deserve it because you're an Australian."

Here is the Wikipedia article on the rapes. The first one occurred on August 10, 2000 where two women, aged 17 and 18 were kidnapped and taken to Greenacre where they were forced to fellate eight Muslim males. One of the rapists called the victim an "Aussie Pig" and then asked her if "Leb cock tasted better than Aussie cock" and explained to her that she would be now be raped "Leb-style".

The Nine eventually received a combined total of 240 years in jail.

This shows clearly that the fundamental attitudes in Islam contribute to a culture in which women are seen primarily as chattel. According to a study in the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter, the likelihood of rapist being born abroad (ie. in a Muslim country) is four times higher than for those born in Sweden.

There is a virtual "epidemic" of Muslims raping women in Norway and Sweden. Fjordman wrote back in 2005 that the Norwegian and Swedish governments may be "looking the other way" when it comes to Muslim rapists because of Political Correctness sensitivities.

Swedish laws prohibiting "hate speech" against racial minorities have been vigorously enforced. There have, for example, been a number of gang-rapes of Swedish women by Muslim immigrants. But Swedes must be careful what they say about them. On May 25, neo-Nazi Bjorn Bjorkqvist was convicted and sentenced to two months in prison for writing, "I don't think I am alone in feeling sick when reading about how Swedish girls are raped by immigrant hordes."

Robert Spencer writes about Jihadi rapes over at Jihad watch. He points out that Mohammed explicitly permitted himself and his followers to take sex slaves from among the conquered.

Ahhh...the Religion of Peace strikes again.

Well sadly this is heading our way if we don't start stepping up and affirming that immigrants are to be American first and not tied to their country of origin. These are the types of results you get when you import people who do not share your values. Parts of France are now 30% Muslim. The police are getting ambushed, attacked and beaten. Do they use deadly force to protect their own lives and the lives of their fellow officers? No. Because political correctness and the false belief that Muslims are a "protected minority" keep the police from doing their jobs - protecting citizens and property.

Just like their fellow Fascists through the years, Islamofacists love to control, dominate and humiliate. Using their religion as an excuse to rape and murder is just one reason why these savages need to be wiped off the planet.

Al-jazeera Gloats over Death of Bush

Accuracy in Media reports that Al-jazeera has posted a review of the movie "Death of a president" by entitling the story "Death Becomes Bush" on its website.

From AIM:
Even liberals seem uncomfortable with Al-Jazeera's latest ploy.
A left-wing blogger at the Huffington Post called it Al-Jazeera "comin' out swinging," as he noted the headline on the Al-Jazeera website over a story about a movie depicting the assassination of President Bush. The headline said: "Death Becomes Bush," as if Al-Jazeera wanted Bush dead.

The film features Bush getting killed by a sniper while campaigning in Chicago in 2007. The director of the film said in an interview that no one should take away from the film that they're endorsing the assassination of the president.

Naaa ... how could we?

The Al-jazeera story comes from the network that interviewed US envoy Alberto Fernandez, director of public diplomacy in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the State Department who offered an unusually candid assessment of America’s war in Iraq.

“We tried to do our best but I think there is much room for criticism because, undoubtedly, there was arrogance and there was stupidity from the United States in Iraq,” he said.

Al-jezeera also ran a poll in which it was revealed that 49.9% support Osama bin Laden and 79.8% believe the war in Iraq is a war on Islam itself. George Galloway has appeared on Al-jazeera claiming to be broke and asking viewers to send him money. And let's not forget that every terrorist Jihadi-bin-laden-al-zaheeri video has come gleaming across the continents via Al-jazeera.

The Scorecard

The Scorecard: How to fix your Man in One Year or Less is a book that I'm helping to support. One of the authors is the wife of a brethren Chicago Police officer. I haven't read it yet as I'm juggling 3 books right now on my nightstand but it's on my Amazon WishList.

scorecard_cover

If you're interested in improving your relationship with your wife, husband, fiance or significant other - this book may give you some guidance. Here are some highlights & tips from it:

Simple ways to start fixing your man – and marriage:
*Brag, don’t nag. Reinforce and recognise good behaviour by praising him.
*Be polite. Never raise your voice.
*If you ask for his opinion, pay attention to it.
*Never put him down in front of his children.
*Don’t sign his name on joint Christmas and birthday cards.
*Compliment each other every day.
*Talk for at least 15 minutes each day.
*Support without stifling. In other words, back off!
*Remember, if one person in a marriage is transformed, so is their mate.

I'm keeping an open mind about the topic because, at face value, it seems like another "Man=Bad / Woman=Good" tome but I'm sure it's not all one-sided.

My favorite book about relationships was Dr. Laura Schlessinger's book The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands

My wife thought the premise of her book patently absurd but, the fundamental truth of the book was simple. Dr. Laura asserts that man is a "very simple creature," who needs only "direct communication, respect, appreciation, food, and good loving'" to respond with devotion, compassion and love. She claims that every woman can achieve a deeply satisfying marriage if she adheres to certain fundamentals men require. Preparing dinner, caring for the children without complaint, greeting her husband with a kiss and engaging in sexual intimacy instead of "tearing down a husband's necessary sense of strength and importance" can result in the harmonious marriage women crave.

Now that's what I'm saying! We are simple creatures to keep happy - it's astounding how so many women delve into overly complex issues when it comes to their husbands. As Dr. Laura says,"Drop the score keeping, make him something to eat and then have sex with him."

Sounds like the perfect recipe for a happy hubby!
